Landmark Wedding Venues in East London

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything that you did to make our party such a success last Friday. It was brilliant being outside on such a lovely everning. Everyone was very impressed with the venue.

We got married at the Hackney Town Hall on 11 July and could have not asked for a more seamless process. My husband and I are both immigrants to the UK and the process was a bit confusing for us so the team helped us understand everything. Our ceremony was beautiful and my friends and family loved the skylight in the North Atrium. It was a special day we will never forget!

We chose Christ Church because of its special meaning to us as a couple who go there each Sunday - but also because of its gorgeous decor and rich history. It looked beyond fantastic on the day, from the striking façade, to the wood-paneled nave, to the recently renovated crypt (read: dance space). Natasha was fantastic throughout, and no request was too much for her. We knew we were in good hands and could just settle back and enjoy the day. Can’t recommend enough!

We had the most incredible wedding at the Shangri La London. The hotel's service was phenomenal, and our guests were treated with exceptional care. Special thanks to Lucia, the event manager, whose expertise and dedication made our day unforgettable. We highly recommend hosting an event at the Shangri La to friends and family!

JC and his team at the Lea were brilliant. We found the process of organising the day and the venue so much easier due to JC's knowledge and expertise. He guided us through the schedule of the day so that our wedding ran smoothly and without fault! Any turnaround of rooms was quick and the service throughout the day for both us and the guests was excellent. JC also has an in-depth knowledge of wines and provided excellent French wines for us on the day. JC - we cannot thank you and the team enough. We would highly recommend the Lea as a wedding venue.

Hi Nicola and Miryam I just wanted to say massive thanks to both of you for your amazing support throughout the wedding planning and on the day and night. You have both been lovely! You always gave great advice, were calm and had a calming effect on us at all times. We felt reassured throughout and your competence and confidence was hugely reassuring. You are both extremely conscientious, always answering emails, always professional and polite but also fun and focused on the ultimate aim, which was to have a great party!! Can you please make sure your managers see this email! I am sure they know how good you are but it always helps to be reminded. Thank you so much for everything, we both had a great time (a bit of a blur for me!) and all of our guests had a great time too!

QMUL team were absolutely amazing from the first moment we met them! The second we were taken on a tour of the venue, we knew this was the place for us! Straight away they were helping us create the moment in our minds. A massive special thank you to Alex, she let me visit as many times as I needed over the months before to make sure I could do everything the other way I had planned. Then on the day, no one could have asked for a better event organiser, she ensured absolutely everything went to plan and the vision we had been discussing for a year, came to life! Thank you so much to every member of the team on the day, nothing was too much to ask!

We loved having our wedding here. Imogen and team were super helpful both before and on the day, and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. It's a really unique venue, with so many possibilities - we particularly enjoyed using part of the museum itself for our reception drinks. Definitely recommended!

We would like to say a big thankyou to the staff at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow for helping to make our wedding ceremony and reception such a success and so perfect. Everybody at the beautiful historic museum - once the family home of the Morris family - was so helpful and caring on the day itself and during our many visits beforehand. They certainly calmed our nerves by being so professional and friendly. Our special day was made even more memorable by the delightful setting in Lloyd Park. The ceremony was held in the lovely upstairs Acanthus Room and the reception for 40 people in the intimate Glasshouse cafe. The staff and our caterers helped to magically transform it after the gallery closed for the evening. It was such an honour and a pleasure to be surrounded by the gallery's tapestries and paintings. So if anyone is looking for somewhere idyllic to tie the knot, we can highly recommend the William Morris and its lovely team. It will hold a special place in our hearts forever.
