Landmark Wedding Venues in East London

Clissold House was the most beautiful setting for our wedding ceremony, and we honestly couldn’t fault the venue. The house itself is stunning, full of character and provided the perfect backdrop for such a special moment in our lives. Geeta was wonderful throughout—so flexible, accommodating and reassuring, particularly when our morning timings didn’t go quite to plan. Everything was handled calmly and professionally, allowing us to simply enjoy our ceremony without any added stress. Clissold Park has always held a special place in our family’s hearts, which made marrying at Clissold House even more meaningful. It was everything we had hoped for, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable London wedding venue.

We would like to thank Hackney Town Hall, and in particular Renae for marrying us. Even though Renae only met us that morning she managed to make our ceremony so personal! So many of my guests came up to me afterwards and said how wonderful our registrar was and also how beautiful she is! Renae made us feel at ease and that we were in safe hands. We had the best day of our lives and we're so appreciative of their contribution to our special day. In addition, the Hackney Town hall team were great at communicating, and organising the set up of the North Atrium - including letting our florist and musicians in early to set up. The town hall is absolutely stunning and I'd recommend to anyone to get married there! Thank you so much, Amber & Jamie

We chose Christ Church because of its special meaning to us as a couple who go there each Sunday - but also because of its gorgeous decor and rich history. It looked beyond fantastic on the day, from the striking façade, to the wood-paneled nave, to the recently renovated crypt (read: dance space). Natasha was fantastic throughout, and no request was too much for her. We knew we were in good hands and could just settle back and enjoy the day. Can’t recommend enough!

The Lea Rowing Club was a genuinely brilliant choice for our wedding, and I am very pleased to give a well deserved five-star review. The setting itself is stunning: right on the water, with the balcony looking out over the towpath and the park. On a hot summer's day it was just beautiful. Finding somewhere like this in the city isn't easy, and we felt very lucky to get married there. The hall and bar gave us the freedom to dress the space exactly as we wanted, and it looked genuinely stunning on the day. And then there's JC and the team, who were brilliant from start to finish. JC himself was charming and endlessly helpful in the run-up to the day, despite what must be an extremely busy schedule at the venue. He and the team were hugely accommodating of how we wanted to dress the room, and gave us some great advice on running the day smoothly; things like adjusting the timing of the first dance to give the meal more breathing room, etc. The team also handled the entire clear-out the following day, so there was very little for us to do on the Sunday. The professionalism, friendliness and can-do attitude of JC and his team made a real difference to our day, and we feel very fortunate to have got married somewhere so special with such lovely people helping us make it happen. We'd highly recommend Lea Rowing Club to anyone considering it — a brilliant, brilliant place. Thanks to JC and the team for all their work in making one of the great days of our lives so special.

You always gave great advice, were calm and had a calming effect on us at all times. We felt reassured throughout and your competence and confidence was hugely reassuring. You are both extremely conscientious, always answering emails, always professional and polite but also fun and focused on the ultimate aim, which was to have a great party!! Can you please make sure your managers see this email! I am sure they know how good you are but it always helps to be reminded. Thank you so much for everything, we both had a great time (a bit of a blur for me!) and all of our guests had a great time too!

QMUL team were absolutely amazing from the first moment we met them! The second we were taken on a tour of the venue, we knew this was the place for us! Straight away they were helping us create the moment in our minds. A massive special thank you to Alex, she let me visit as many times as I needed over the months before to make sure I could do everything the other way I had planned. Then on the day, no one could have asked for a better event organiser, she ensured absolutely everything went to plan and the vision we had been discussing for a year, came to life! Thank you so much to every member of the team on the day, nothing was too much to ask!

We loved having our wedding here. Imogen and team were super helpful both before and on the day, and helped make sure everything ran smoothly. It's a really unique venue, with so many possibilities - we particularly enjoyed using part of the museum itself for our reception drinks. Definitely recommended!

We had the most incredible wedding at the Shangri La London. The hotel's service was phenomenal, and our guests were treated with exceptional care. Special thanks to Lucia, the event manager, whose expertise and dedication made our day unforgettable. We highly recommend hosting an event at the Shangri La to friends and family!

We held our civil partnership ceremony in the Acanthus Room at the William Morris Gallery and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly helpful and lovely, and the venue felt so special and unique. The room was perfect for a intimate ceremony, and we got some beautiful photos in the garden afterwards. We're so glad we held it here.
