Services Offered

Whether you want an intimate ceremony with a couple of witnesses or an all-out celebration, the hotel staff has the perfect package for you. A Civil Ceremony License provides you with a wealth of options on-site. This venue is exclusive use for your wedding festivities with six function rooms to host between two and 120 guests. A dance floor and evening reception facilities will allow your celebration to continue into the night. For on-site accommodations, 58 luxuriously-appointed bedrooms and suites will enable you and your loved ones to rest and relax during the course of your stay. Our day really was everything we could of wished f

I still can’t believe we are married ????????it’s all still so surreal.

Our day really was everything we could of wished for & more. We were extremely blessed with the sun shining on us, rather than thunderstorms which were forecasted for our day.

It was so wonderful to have you as our wedding coordinator, we felt you went above and beyond to help ensure we had the best day & we so appreciate you being there on our day & for everything you did to look after/support us.

Zsolt is a very special man indeed, I can so see why he is a manager of the banqueting team. Zsolt, in my opinion, cares about what he does & this really shines through in how he deals with people.

Zsolt’s amazing nature is just second to none & we are most grateful to him for all he did for us. One other staff member really stood out for us, Reece he is just so lovely, so helpful & attentive which again people like him do really make an experience.

Personally I’m one for appreciating good customer service, I really believe it’s the people who you deal with in any experience who can make or break it.

Would not change a thing!

Amazing Day!

I don’t even know how to put into words what an amazing day we had. Everything at the hotel was just perfect.
Our guests all said what a beautiful location it was. We were so lucky with the weather as it just showed the hotel off beautifully.
We are still buzzing from the day.
Thank you so much for all the room upgrades. Jessica the biggest thank you to you and your team who all helped to make our day truly memorable.
Also, thank you for the lovely words in your card.
You’ve been so patient with all our incessant questions and I hope I didn’t drive you too mad.
We will definitely be back next year for our anniversary ??

From the moment we visited Alexander House Hotel and met Helen we knew this was the venue that we wanted for our dream day. Helen was amazing in all the planning stages, always happy to answer our constant questions and give advice and helped us deliver the most beautiful Wedding. All the staff were so friendly, the food was delicious, and all the aspects provided such as the Toastmaster made the day stress free, and run so smoothly. Such a beautiful venue, fantastic staff, we will never forget the best day of our lives. Thank you Helen and the team at Alexander House Hotel.

Amazing!

We got married at Alexander House on Saturday 10 March. We are so pleased we chose Alexander House - the service we received was second to none. Every step of the organisational process was made easier by our wedding co-ordinator, Hannah Evaroa. Hannah is so professional and very patient (we had lots of questions!). She took the time to get to know us and made many excellent suggestions - we were totally at ease relying on Hannah and her team to take care of things for us. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. Alexander House looked beautiful in the sunshine - it was amazing to be outside in the stunning garden for our champagne reception. The wedding breakfast was delicious, we had a food tasting in advance of the big day and the chef was very kind letting us be more involved with the food choices. Our evening reception was really enjoyable - all of our guests have commented on what a wonderful day they had at an amazing venue. Thank you Alexander House (and expecially Hannah!). We wish we could do it all again!

Fabulous wedding day

Nothing but good memories of a spectacular wedding held in Alexander House in December. All held together magnificently by all the staff and Jennifer who coordinated the day. It's the little attention to detail and willingness of everyone to ensure your stay is up to their expectations and without doubt it was. Bizarrely I will always remember sitting out in the hot tub in the garden in the freezing cold before the wedding brought us back to reality. Once again I can only praise the staff and Jennifer and send them my thanks for making our sons wedding a wonderful memory

Excellent in every way!

We had our wedding reception at Alexander House Hotel and had the most wonderful time! The staff are incredible; helpful, organised and friendly- lots of our guests commented on how kind and thoughtful the staff were during the evening. The venue itself is beautful- just perfect for a wedding reception- and the food was wonderful too! The bridal suite was another treat- absolute luxury! We would recommend Alexander House wholeheartedly!

Beautiful Hotel - Ceremony 09.08.2015

Thank you to Alexander House for the most magical wedding day for our daughter. The hotel is just gorgeous and we were lucky enough with the weather to have the ceremony outside in the Gazebo with drinks on the terrace. Our wedding planner Rebecca was brilliant, just so helpful and caring. The service and food at the wedding breakfast was outstanding. We cannot recommend this wonderful hotel highly enough. Fantastic.

The Perfect day...

Everything about the wedding went perfectly and the staff and hotel had a lot to do with it.
Before the wedding Jennifer was always on hand to help with the planning and help move our plans forward. We were invited to a wedding fair at the hotel and met people who ended up doing our photography, flowers, stationary and chair covers. The hotel have picked their partners well because all of them were great.
On the day Jennifer was on hand to make sure everything went as planned. The rooms looked amazing. The food was great and the staff were on hand to make sure drinks were kept topped up.
We would highly recommend Alexander House – they make sure to give you anything you want and all our guests commented on how elegant and beautiful the venue was.

Best Day of Our Lives!

We had the most Perfect Wedding Day we could ever dreamed of in December 2009. We knew instantly that Alex House was the Perfect venue to hold our Christmas Vintage style Wedding. All of our guests couldn't believe how beautiful their rooms were and the food was to an excellent standard. We spent alot of time with the Chef discussing our ideas and nothing was too much trouble. We also had a pre wedding dinner for 22 of our guests which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was the perfect way to start the celebrations. Jen our Wedding Co-Ordinator was excellent from start to finish, she managed to accommodate all of our requirements and had some innovative suggestions to help make our day even more special. If they were any glitches on the day, we certainly didnt know about them! Everything was handled so efficently, we couldn't recommend Alexander House and all their staff highly enough. Thank you for making our Wedding Day the day of our dreams.......

Will Highly Recommend You

Alexander House work hard to make sure the day runs without a hitch and pride themselves in quality service and quality food. We had an amazing wedding day; the food was top class and the staff worked really hard to make the day special. Alexander House is such a nice venue and because it isn't too big and our wedding not too many, it felt more personal and intimate. Thank you for all your help too with everything - I particularly liked the personalised menus and thank you for changing the table list so quickly on the day. The honeymoon suite was stunning too and my mum and I even got to enjoy the hot tub outside the day before! We would recommend this hotel 100% to any couple for their wedding day!

Simply Perfect!

As soon as I saw Alexander House I knew I had found our venue, the house, grounds and setting are just superb. All I had to do was convince my then fiancé it was the one! Not such a difficult task as I thought, when he saw Alexander House, he agreed with me it was just stunning.
We then met the staff, who simply couldn’t do enough for us. No request was too big or too small and it certainly took away the stress of the planning because they simply had it all in control and everything organised. Our wedding co-ordinator, Katie was an absolute star who took us through the planning step by step and was also there on the day to ensure everything was in place and offer a reassuring hug! All the way though the planning and on the day I was made to feel so special, and I thank you for this Katie.
The day itself was simply perfect, we were extremely lucky with the weather and we were able to enjoy the beautiful grounds in the sunshine. The service was just excellent by the banqueting team and we knew the food was going to be good, having enjoyed an evening sampling the menu and tasting the wine! It was simply delicious!
We would certainly recommend Alexander House to any couple, looking for that perfect venue, we truly had the best day of our lives and I cannot thank everyone involved enough!

Definitely THE BEST wedding venue in Sussex - it ticked all of our boxes and exceeded all of our expectations!!!

We got married on 2nd May 2009 at Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield followed by a reception at Alexander House. We planned our wedding over 18 months and as most people who have got married will know, as happy and fun as it is, it is also full of stresses, strains and the odd tear! I am delighted to say that none of this came from Alexander House or our fantastic wedding planner Katie Ratcliffe. We knew the moment we saw Alexander House that it was the venue for us the hotel and grounds are stunning, the staff are always so friendsly, yet professional and Katie never tired of my emails, questions and visits! From the initial visit, to the menu and wine tasting and to our big day itself, Alexander House remained faultless and we can honestly say we had the best day of our lives! Thanks again Katie!! Great value for money experience

We knew of the hotel as we had been there before as guests at a party but this was several years ago. We liked the locality of the hotel and the old fashioned architecture. We were amazed at how well the fabulous new spa wing has been sympathetically added to the old building. We held our 2nd daughter's wedding over the weekend 16th - 18th Feb., 2008. The advance planning, help, advice and friendship of the entire hotel team led by Jonathan Owen Gen Mgr and his coordinator Sarah Clifford was superb. Every detail was taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. We had a menu and wine tasting four weeks before the big day and the head chef Kirk was terrific, he catered for all tastes and again made good suggestions, both the wedding lunch and evening buffet was excellent, faultless presentation, plenty to eat and everyone had a great time. What makes this hotel different friom others is the good and strong leadership from the top. It is evident all members of staff no matter what their rank all are encouraged to be proactive, they think for themselves, are courteous and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We highly recommend this hotel for all occasions.

A Perfect Venue

I was Maid of Honour to my sister last month at her wedding at Alexander House Hotel. It was an elegant venue with beautiful grounds which are made for fantastic photos. I spent two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The restaurants were excellent, I had one of my best meals this year in the Brasserie restaurant. Of note was the standard of service given by the friendly, yet professional staff, which was the highest I have experienced in quite some time. It was a perfect day.
