Cissbury Barns is a beautiful and unique wedding venue located in Findon, West Sussex. Nestled within the picturesque South Downs National Park, this hidden gem is a truly romantic and idyllic location with the WOW factor to host your big day. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it ideal for soon-to-be newlyweds who desire a peaceful nuptial occasion in the countryside. The Cissbury Wedding and Events team will ensure that your Wedding Day runs smoothly and effortlessly giving you time to relax and enjoy every moment of your Wedding Day with your family and friends.
Facilities and Capacity
Cissbury Barns can welcome from 50 (dependant on season) guests and up 120 for the day and seated wedding breakfast. For the evening reception, the property can accommodate up to 200 guests. The East Barn and 'The Glade', the outside ceremonial area, are registered for civil wedding ceremonies and are available for exclusive use, ensuring privacy and tranquillity on your special day. The barns feature rustic brick and flint stone, impressive beams, and large windows, giving the space a light and airy feel. The versatile barns offer a romantic and sophisticated rustic feel to which you can add your personality; from floral arrangements to bunting and fairy lights, these are genuinely magnificent spaces brimming with style. Following your ceremony, you’re welcome to enjoy the Ceremonial garden and host your drinks reception drinks and capture photographs against the breathtaking rural backdrop. Cissbury's fabulous and quirky Bar is a hit with family and friends alike serving a avery wide range of drinks and cocktails.

Whether you would like a formal three-course meal, a buffet or even a BBQ, you can get it all here. With a formal wedding reception capacity of 120 and the option to invite more guests for informal celebrations, you have total flexibility to make your day as intimate or as grand as you wish. Smooth and slick, our day was fantastic!
As soon as we visited Cissbury, we knew we wanted it to be our venue. It's SO beautiful and the thing that swung it for us was the fact that they're dog friendly and our two dogs could be flower girls/ring-bearers! From the moment of our first meeting, you could tell that the team were professionals, and they continued to prove so throughout every step of the process. There is nothing they hadn't thought of or have suggestions for. It made the whole wedding planning process SO much easier, knowing that everything would be taken care of. Christina was our main contact for the day - she is so lovely and she hit the perfect balance between making our vision a reality and managing our expectations and giving us her advice. Thank you soooo much for making our wedding day the absolute perfect day. Thanks to all of the team behind the scenes and the bar staff too. Like I say in the title, it was so smooth and slick. I would 100% recommend choosing Cissbury for your special day!

The perfect venue with the most amazing team
Wow, where to start! Helen, Michelle & Everyone at Cissbury are truly AMAZING and so passionate at what they do!
From the minute we met Helen, and then when we met Michelle as our event manager, we felt so confident that they would help us to deliver the most magical day, and they certainly did!
Thank you Helen for the fantastic tour at the very start, answering all my questions throughout, and putting up with me rocking up to the open days to test my decor.
Michelle, Thank you for so perfectly executing my vision and all your expertise to make it even better. You truly went above and beyond!
Our wedding day went PERFECTLY, and it was all thanks to the team at Cissbury - even Geoffrey (the owner), helping me to remember all my things, when I almost forgot my flowers and veil! Cissbury is THE venue to have your wedding, I couldn’t recommend the venue enough! Beautiful grounds and barns, amazing staff, everything you need all in one place.

Most beautiful venue and the most perfect day!
Wow what can we say? From the minute we saw Cissbury Barns, and met Helen we fell in love with this venue. When’s they told us we could bring our two labs for the day, we were sold! From beginning to end, the passion that the Cissbury Team have for their venue, the detail, and the effort that they go to, to make sure the day is perfect, was so apparent. Michelle’s organisation, communication and genuine care in making sure we had an amazing day, both before the wedding and on the day, put my mind at ease- the team took all the stress away and continued to put my mind at rest…. the best bit? that they do it all so naturally! Having worked in hospitality and hotels for over 20 years, I have high standards when it comes to service and standards, and Michelle and their Cissbury ‘family’ exceeded it by a mile.
The suppliers they work with and recommend, compliment the venue beautifully- The Gourmet Chef put on amazing canapés, and a BBQ fit for a king and all our guests loved it!

Stress free wedding!
We got married at Cissbury two weeks ago and we are so so pleased. The venue is stunning, the staff were all lovely and really helpful. Special thanks to Michelle for making sure our day went so smoothly! Nothing was too much trouble and I felt so at ease on the day as well.

Absolutely beautiful
Wow, where do I even start? Cissbury Barns is a beautiful venue but Michelle really made the day come together. I cannot thank Michelle enough. Our day was so beautiful. Michelle really looked after us and it’s very well organised the day couldn’t have gone any better if I could, I would do the day all over again, it was very special to us both, and we will hold such a special Memory Michelle Etta and Jeffrey

Beautiful wedding venue!
We'd definitely recommend Cissbury if you are considering them for your big day! What did it for us was having the option to get married either outdoors or indoors, so we had that security regardless of the typical british weather. Thankfully the sun shone and we were able to get married outside in the glade which was absolutely perfect. Helen and Michelle would so incredibly helpful and knowledgable and our big day ran smoothly. I wish I could do it all again!

The wedding of our dreams
The beautiful Cissbury Barns provided us with the most wonderful venue and wedding day experience, the venue and grounds are breath taking, the help and advise, right down to the organisation and smooth running on the day was exceptional, every detail discussed, advised and seen through exactly to our wishes, staff were lovely and so helpful from the moment we viewed the venue right through to our big day and we cannot thank them enough for providing the most perfect wedding day, exceeding everything we had wished it to be. Only regret is that we cannot do it all over again!

This really was the most perfect wedding venue. Everything from the grounds to the venue itself were stunning. The staff were all so helpful and went above and beyond, even going out of their way to help the men with a spot of wedding morning breakfast!! They were so grateful. Simply amazing!
What can I say about this beautiful venue, it truly was the perfect choice for our wedding. From the stunning views and surroundings to the beautiful barns and amazing service. Helen was amazing from the first time we met, nothing was ever too much trouble and our wedding day ran seamlessly. We were lucky enough to get married outside in the Glade, dispute days of heavy ran and it was just perfect. I honestly cannot recommend Cissbury enough. I would choose Cissbury time and time again

Fantastic venue!!
Our wedding at Cissbury Barns was incredible, the venue is so stunning and unique! The team are so so friendly and helpful - special thanks to Michelle for looking after all our guests on the day - but all the team were so lovely! We stayed in the north wing apartment for 2 nights and the accommodation is STUNNING - I also recommend that too! But genuinely if you are deciding on a wedding venue I cannot fault this one at all!

Best day ever!
Hi Michelle, just wanted to send a quick message as we didn’t see you earlier to say thanks for everything you and the team did yesterday, it was everything we had hoped it to be and more! Everyone loved it, as did we and it went exactly as we had planned for it to be.
We are both slight control freaks so it was hard to just trust it was all going to be ok but be had nothing to worry about.
A day we will remember forever!

Our perfect wedding venue
From the first time we visited Cissbury we thought “Wow it's perfect” our minds made up there and then, we wanted to have our wedding there.
The beautiful unspoilt traditional barn, lovely outdoor space, nice seating, sheltered area and bar, all surrounded by splended woods, it feels like you are 100 miles away from the rest of the world.
In June we had slight spring showers, but because of the sheltered areas and ample seating, this if anything brought everyone together and created a great atmosphere of its own. Working in all weathers was important to us and Cissbury definitely works.
The team were lovely people, helpful, professional and “on it”. We both felt so comfortable on the day, we knew everything was just going to happen, as soon as we walked into the ceremony barn we didn't have to think, just enjoyed our day, thank you so much Michelle and Helen.
We visited on many occasions, every time the team were welcoming and engaging, flexible with times and gave great ideas and suggestions, they were happy to answer questions and put us at ease.
We loved having our wedding at Cissbury Barns, thank you again to all the team.

Fabulous Venue
Nothing was too much trouble for Helen, Christina and Etta during the planning and execution of our daughter Jenny‘s wedding. The venue was perfect, secluded, romantic and very beautiful.
