Michelle and her team at Cissbury Barns were brilliant when facilitating my wedding day. Communication was clear and I had trust that they would deliver on the day- which they did in abundance!

The venue was gorgeous and all our guests said as such. The buildings are so gorgeous, not many decorations were required. Having all our personal effects boxed and put to one side for collection made the 'check out' process from the venue seamless and easy

My Husband, Jon and I got married at the stunning Cissbury Barns in August 2025, and getting married at this venue along with the help from the amazing staff was the best decision we made. Even our friends who got married in 2023, joked about wanting to get married again so they could have Cissbury as their venue, as everything was just beyond perfect.

The venue is simply breathtaking with its natural beauty and history. Not being too large meant we could spend time with all our guests and being so private meant we had the most intimate day celebrating with just those around us that we love the most.

Christina ran our day and brought our vision to life even more than I thought was possible. She clearly understood our ask and provided so many great suggestions given her vast experience of weddings as Cissbury, from what worked well and what to avoid, and it meant the world when she said 'It's truly was one of the nicest weddings I’ve had the pleasure to work'.

Every single member of staff at Cissbury is so attentive, from the days leading up to the wedding helping with planning and ideas, including support us when our original caterer cancelled on us, nothing was ever too much of a problem, being so attentive and supporting throughout.

We wish we could live the day over and over again. Our wedding was beyond special, it was pure magic and will be a core memory in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Thank you for making our day beyond perfect in every single way x

We got married at Cissbury at the end of October and were completely blessed by beautiful weather and a gorgeous location. Michelle was a fantastic event coordinator throughout the whole process and I fully trusted her and her team. Charlie made sure all our last minute arrangements were sorted and the evening event manager (Lynn?) was brilliant! On the day they were totally on-it but completely in the background. Thank you for making our day run so smoothly and for dealing with any and all bumps that appeared along the way!

We got married here in September and had the most amazing day. Not only is the venue beautiful, the staff could not have been more helpful leading up to the day, and on the day itself - helping with styling decisions, how we would adjust the day depending on the weather, amongst so many other things. We had so many comments from guests saying how well run things were, down to the smallest details. Would highly recommend to anyone who is considering having their wedding here - it could not have been more perfect! :)

Cissbury Barns is an absolutely stunning venue and we could be happier that we picked it as our wedding venue.

Firstly, the team are exceptional. They are so organised and made us feel totally relaxed on our wedding day and during the build up. They run an incredibly slick operation and don’t miss a thing. The whole team including Michelle, Charlie, Etta and Geoffrey are so committed and passionate about what they do.

The venue itself has everything you could ask for. We loved the fact that everything was all in one location which made things so much easier on the day and for our suppliers. They also have recommended suppliers who are fantastic and have a great relationship with Cissbury which again makes the whole process so much easier and smoother.

Cissbury is absolutely beautiful - you really don’t need any additional styling elements. We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside which was breathtaking. They also have a ceremonial barn which is just as stunning so we felt very lucky to have this as a wet weather option.

We would highly recommend Cissbury Barns, we feel so lucky we found this venue and team.

Michelle and her team are truly incredible and obviously experienced in running seamless wedding days. From viewing the venue to after the wedding, communication was fantastic and I never once doubted whether we made the right choice. Being able to stay in the north wing apartment the night before the wedding and the night of made it so convenient, not to mention beautiful! I didn’t have to think of a single thing on the day as the team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it beautiful and run to time. To have such genuinely warm and competent people on your wedding day is something that should not be taken for granted and Cissbury shine at this. Everyone couldn’t compliment the venue setting enough and Michelle took creative licence (with my permission!) to transform the ceremony barn into something beautiful when our heart was set on an outdoor ceremony. I wish we could have our wedding day all over again and we can’t thank the team enough for helping us create a truly wonderful wedding day. Thank you!

Cissbury Barns is a truly beautiful venue with stunning views, a ceremony space beneath the trees and barns that hardly need any extra decoration. We loved the option of moving the ceremony indoors if the weather changed, which gave us real peace of mind. The layout also worked perfectly for our day as the outdoor seating, bar and dance floor are all close together. It felt inclusive and our guests could easily move between spaces without anyone feeling separated.

The team at Cissbury were fantastic from start to finish. Christine was always quick to respond and worked closely with us to make sure every detail was covered. The master event schedule they provided helped us stay organised and ensured everything ran smoothly. On the day itself Christine and the team were so supportive and we felt completely looked after.

We chose our caterers from the recommended list and the food was absolutely outstanding. If the rest are of the same quality, couples are in for a real treat.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Cissbury Barns to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It is a beautiful place with a professional and caring team who helped us create the day we had hoped for.

Wow, what can I say - Cissbury Barns is an absolutely stunning venue that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The variety of spaces and the freedom to add our own touches meant so much to us. From our very first viewing, the team’s passion and enthusiasm made it clear this was where we wanted to celebrate the best day of our lives. I gave Christina and the team the most detailed master event pack imaginable, yet they executed everything flawlessly and brought our vision to life. The entire team was fantastic, from initial enquiry through to the day itself - we truly cannot thank you enough!

Amazing place, amazing team, amazing wedding - it was perfect in every way, we truly couldn't have asked for more. The attention to detail from the Cissbury team was outstanding, and Etta and Jeffrey were so warm and welcoming - they really went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly. Amazing team and a stunning venue for a wedding!

Helen & Michelle were always helpful and on hand for any questions throughout the months of planning with suggestions and ideas whenever we needed, and really made the process seamless and as stress free as possible.
On the day, the entire team were invisibile but making everything run perfectly in the background.
We could not imagine a team out there more hands on and supportive.

The venue itself is beautiful and feels so natural in it's environment, surrounded by amazing views and fields. The ceremony barn feels intimate and spacious at the same time and the outside areas were perfect for all our guests to enjoy the day together.
We would 100% recommend any form of celebration at Cissbury.

If you're getting married in West Sussex, I really feel like Cissbury Barns is the perfect place. Especially cause it's so set up for British weather! You have the option of an indoor or outdoor ceremony. There's loads of beautiful outdoor space for a good weather day, and still cover for shade, or potentially more likely, rain. We got both on the day, so really got to experience it's full potential!

The barns are lovely, the bar area is great, the staff are amazing. I especially loved that as I was the bride whenever I went near the bar they immediately looked at me to get me a drink. In day to day life for some reason I'm so slow to get served, and that felt oddly special.

Of course the area is great with fields as well, and we even got to see a horse when we did a mini walk for photos. I love that tables and chairs are included in the cost, as some places charge extra.

There is phone signal for anyone that forgets to order a taxi as well. And it sounds silly, but even the toilets are nice. They look nice, and are clean obviously, but we saw some other lovely barns but very meh toilets. And they have little extras for guests in there and also a bigger stall for the bride for is she has a big dress or needs someone else in there to help with their dress!

Then, the staff. When we got showed around, it was Helen as much as the barns that sold us. She gave us such a great run through of the day that we could tell we would be taken care of and you could just picture it all happening. She had all the answers to any questions we may have had before we even asked them, which gave us so much confidence.

Communication on the build up to the wedding was great, and we were advised it would be Michelle who was then looking after us on the day. She answered all my hundreds of emails and helped everywhere possible. We didn't have anyone coming in to help with decorative things (which in my opinion, the barns are so nice as they are it's really not necessary to be adding more, which is a win!), but they were kind enough to help with doing the chair covers and any little bits we had for us, rather than us having to do it ourselves.

And Michelle was so good on the day and just really making sure everything ran smoothly, she was great at organising everyone, giving encouragement and also firmly instructing people when we were faffing to make sure it didn't all run away from us. And flowers got moved around and things cleared away as it happened, so it always looked fab and also everything was ready for us to take away the next day.

I've been on honeymoon since, but I've heard my family have still been in touch with regards to any lost items and extra bits and they've still been taking care of us.

I can't recommend enough :)

We got married at Cissbury Barns last week and had the most magical and amazing day!

I looked at a wide variety of venues trying to find the perfect spot, but immediately fell in love with Cissbury. The main things I was trying to accommodate were;

- A venue that was a good size, as
as we were working on 140-160 guests. A lot of venues I looked at had a limit of 100 people and the ones that could accommodate larger numbers, lacked character and atmosphere. I also found that a lot of venues would result in guests being in very different areas; for example, bar area being completely away from the main party area. I wanted to keep guests together and create as much of an atmosphere as possible. Cissbury has an amazing set up; you almost work your way around zones throughout the day. You have a dedicated area for the ceremony and drinks reception and when you move into the evening, the bar, main barn and courtyard area with stretch tent, allow people to move about and have plenty of space, but also keeps people together enough to create a great buzz!

- A venue that would work in sun or rain due to our Great British weather! Cissbury offers the choice of a beautiful outside glade with stunning views, or an equally beautiful barn. This is completely separate to the main party barn and bar, so you don’t have to awkwardly wait around for the staff to swap from the ceremony to the meal / reception / evening. There is also a stretch tent outside and the bar opens up to allow people to still be outside if it is raining without getting wet

- A venue with soul! Cissbury have seriously nailed this. I fell in love with it when I first saw it, but we have had so many comments from guests about what a stunning venue it is. Everything about it is right! They have struck the balance between having a venue with character and natural beauty, with a rustic feel, while making it also feel really classy with little touches like the cowshed toiletries in the bathrooms, beautifully manicured gardens and a stunning bar area. Again, many of the more expensive venues I looked at, just felt a bit pretentious and lacked charm and personality, whereas Cissbury has managed to strike the balance perfectly!

- A team I felt confident in to help organise and manage the wedding on the day. Christina was my event organiser and she was absolutely fabulous in every way! The whole team were faultless! They clearly have the art of running a seamless wedding down to a fine art and executed everything perfectly! Christina was always on hand during the planning stages to bounce ideas off, give advice and help organise everything. On the day, Christina and the whole team were honestly amazing! They were so friendly and accommodating and ensured that the day ran without a hitch. Nothing was too much trouble and all our guests knew what was going on and where they needed to be at all times.

Overall, Cissbury delivers on every aspect imaginable. I didn’t think I would find a venue that ticked every box, but Cissbury exceeded our expectations, and those of our guests, in every way possible!

We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at Cissbury Barns! This is not your average wedding venue - and that's down to the AMAZING team! I know Cissbury is a busy venue but somehow the team look after you so well it genuinely feels like yours is the only wedding they're focused on 🥰
From our first visit when Helen showed us around to the months (years!) of planning with our event manager Michelle the team couldn't do enough to help.

The venue itself is stunning, and we were lucky enough to be able to get married outside in the glade, which just felt so magical. Even the horses came along to see what was going on.
Although the venue has clearly been carefully designed with weddings in mind, it still has an authentic, rustic charm which we just fell in love with. And the team at Cissbury and their amazing recommended suppliers helped us design a look and feel for the day that was just us.

Planning a wedding is stressful, but Helen and Michelle did so much to help ease those stresses - from the awesome planning templates they provided to the WhatsApp messages and even sitting down with my mum to answer her (many) questions! Thank you! You had an answer or a solution to every question and just made the whole planning experience run so smoothly.

On the day itself, the whole Cissbury team were attentive and thoughtful and just added to the joy and good vibes!

We've had so many comments from friends and family about how stunning the venue was and it honestly was the perfect setting for our perfect day. Can't thank you enough!!

I can’t recommend Cissbury barns highly enough! The venue is truly stunning, we chose to have our ceremony in the barn and it is the perfect intimate set up that let us feel close to our families while having the gorgeous backdrop of the barn.
The walled garden and stretch tent made the perfect drinks reception space even when we had an unexpected shower and the dinner barn was just stunning to have our meal and then dance the night away!

Even more than the venue I can’t recommend highly enough the Cissbury team!! They went above and beyond for our special day and made us feel like nothing was too big an ask! They made our day run seamlessly and we had so many compliments from our guests about the team!
