Barn & Farm Wedding Venues in Shropshire

Our wedding day was amazing! Blakelands is such a lovely venue. As we got married on the 6th December, the whole venue was decorated for Christmas and it was magical. We would recommend Blakelands to all couples that want a Christmas wedding.

We were travel weary and exhausted when we arrived to view Delbury Hall, but as soon as we walked through the archway into the courtyard we knew that it was the venue for us. It has a great layout that looks amazing and was the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. The Orangery is a great addition that gives more so much more space and flexibility in putting an amazing day together. The onsite accommodation was really good an enabled us to keep the wedding party on site. The staff are amazing, every one of them, but with a special shout out to Carissa. Her enthusiasm, flexibility and experience was key in not only deciding to book the place but also helping us to put our ideas into practice. She was willing to roll with our bonkers ideas, making anything seem possible. From the viewing to the booking to the delivery of the day itself she led a great team, put us at ease and was simply outstanding. We were both really glad that our first impression of Delbury Hall paid off, we couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

The hundred house team made our wedding day perfect. From our first visit with Jaydene, to our meetings with Gem and Jo, and to the day itself, everyone was fantastic. We were even made to feel special when we came for the Game Night the week before the wedding. We were so privileged to be the first to use the new garden room, and what a space it is! It was the perfect place to mingle with our guests between the ceremony, dinner and the party - the room is so bright and inviting. On the day Keri, Grace and Mike were brilliant - Keri did a fantastic job of directing us and making sure all the details were spot on. Mike looked after us and made sure to come and see us at the end of the night and organised for a hog roast roll to be waiting for us in our room (which was delicious!), and a thoughtful touch. Our guests commentedy on how good the food was and no one was left hungry! They also said how relaxed and enjoyable the day was, the team at Hundred House absolutely added to that. Hundred House was our go to place for a great meal, and now it’s even more special to us.

I cannot recommend the mill barns highly enough! Staff so friendly, venue perfect and absolutely stunning. They put everything together for us and made our day so special! Chloe, our wedding coordinator was amazing! She created our vision and then some! It was perfect! And many guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Thank you so much for making our day so special! Food was also delicious and Sasha our catering coordinator put our food package together amazingly! If you are reading this, you will not go wrong in booking this venue!

We got married at Stanford Farm in July 2025 and we honestly cannot praise this venue and team enough. I currently live in California but I’m originally from Shropshire, so I know the area well. Planning a wedding in Shropshire while living in California could have been incredibly stressful, but the communication from the Stanford Farm team was exceptional throughout. Emails were prompt, clear, and reassuring despite the time difference, and it always felt like there was a real person on the other end who genuinely cared. That level of communication made the entire process feel calm and manageable. Keith deserves a special mention as the lead wedding coordinator - he is an absolute LEGEND! Calm, organized, and endlessly helpful, he goes above and beyond in every sense. The entire team were fantastic, and it truly felt like a collective effort where everyone was invested in making our weekend special. We hired the venue for three days, with Friday as a prep day, and the flexibility and warmth from the team was outstanding. Rather than feeling like a formal, packaged wedding venue, Stanford Farm felt like a true family celebration space - relaxed, personal, and full of heart. They have an entire barn full of table decorations and Photo Booth props - the possibilities were endless and all included in the price. Phenomenal value for money! During the weekend we also hosted my parents’ joint 70th birthday party at Stanford Farm, complete with a rounders match on the grounds. It ended up being one of the highlights of the entire weekend and perfectly sums up the venue - a place where multiple generations can come together and celebrate properly. On the Friday we met George, who handled the lighting and atmosphere beautifully. From soft, romantic lighting to full disco-ball party mode (see amazing photos attached), he brought everything together effortlessly. On the wedding day, being able to use the farmhouse to get ready was incredibly special. The rustic interior is full of charm and character, and I have the most beautiful photos from that morning that I will cherish forever. We were married in the stables and held our reception in the cow barn - both spaces overflowing with rustic charm and warmth. Several members of our wedding party were American, and Stanford Farm was an unforgettable experience for them - a perfect taste of the English countryside. What stood out most was the atmosphere. This didn’t feel like a cookie-cutter wedding venue; it felt like a celebration overflowing with love. In fact, people genuinely left our wedding saying there was “too much love”, which we now consider the highest possible compliment! If you’re looking for a venue with heart, flexibility, and a team who truly care, Stanford Farm is a no-brainer!

We had the most incredible time at the Grain Loft and Llanhedric House for our wedding in December 2024. We had a small intimate wedding with 25 people all together and it was the best day ever! We were planning our wedding from afar and after meeting Elaine and Mark and seeing the Grain Loft. We knew the Grain Loft was going to be the perfect venue for us! Elaine and Mark went above and beyond. They were always at the end of the phone answering any questions or worries, they also spoke to suppliers for us before our big day as we were not nearby. They also helped to calm us down with nerves on our day just knowing that they were there! They made our vision come to life! They did so much for us and we really appreciate everything- they’re such a special couple! The venue allows for freedom which makes it so unique. We were allowed to make the venue ours (although it doesn’t need much decorating at all). We had the venue and the house from Thursday-Sunday and it gave us enough time to make it ours. We loved all the Christmas decorations that Elaine and Mark had already put us as well! Another thing was that there is no limit to suppliers so we could have the caterers, florists, photographers, entertainment etc that we wanted which really helps! We were lucky enough to be able to use all of the facilities at the Grain Loft including the barn outside which was great for the reception! The heaters inside the barn kept everyone toasty! We were also the first wedding with the use of their bar and it worked so well. Elaine and Mark were so amazing at helping us choose our wines for our wedding breakfast. The bar set up was beautiful and doesn’t take up much room. There is also lots of options for alcohol and non alcoholic drinks and the staff were so attentive to our guests. Although a small wedding, we all like a drink and there never was a queue! The house is also huge with amazing space, games rooms and roaring fires! It allowed for us and our families to have some time together before the wedding and it was such a special time. The house has everything you will need. Definitely recommend getting a food shop delivery for arrival as no shops nearby! You can’t forget about the rolling hills surrounding the Grain Loft. The views are beautiful and wonderful for photos. Although cold, we definitely enjoyed the views! The Grain loft has everything and more that is needed for an intimate wedding venue. Our vision certainly came to life and our day was so special. A special thank you again to Elaine and Mark. You’re both incredible. Alex and her husband went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly, especially considering a few last minute changes due to Storm Amy. Honestly, a beautiful venue with extremely kind and thoughtful owners. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue. ❤️

We first came across the venue when researching locations around Shrewsbury/ Telford and immediately booked to attend an open day after viewing photos online. While there, we fell in love with the venue and its grounds, and immediately booked our wedding date with the coordination service. Amy and Ben were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process; we booked various suppliers who we had met on the open day which made the process of planning the wedding completely effortless, and it was reassuring to know that they were suppliers who had worked at the venue before and were trustworthy. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Amy was always willing to answer our questions and give us pointers in terms of timings and details which we may have forgotten. The day itself was perfect and we received so many compliments on the venue; our guests were blown away by the amenities, how beautifully the barn had been restored, and all of the areas they could explore throughout the day. Even things like the ease of the parking were praised by our guests, something that was especially helpful for guests in wheelchairs. We were so delighted with how perfectly the venue could be shaped into our dream, and it was great to see all of our visions come to life - something that's incredibly nerve-wracking when planning a wedding day. Amy and Ben couldn't have been more helpful across the three days that we hired Moat Hall Barns, and it was always such a relief to know that they were close at hand to help out if we had any questions or needed any advice. What can I say Burlton Manor is a brill place to have your wedding.We had a great wedding this weekend.The venue is first class with a beautiful wedding room and a great function room as well.Staff a 1st class.There are some wonderful places to stay on site from lodges to a whole house if you want a treat we stayed in the Run. Thanks all the best A Redfern.
