The Ten-Acre Estate boasts both a Georgian Country House and Multiple Barn buildings which have been lovingly renovated over the last three decades into the perfect wedding venue along with delightful historic walled gardens, paddocks, orchards and lakes, the venue is the perfect back drop for your dream day.
Hiring The Blakelands Estate comes with its own team of Master of Ceremonies, Wedding & Menu Planners, Executive Chef Team and Hospitality Managers which allows it to be completely flexible with multiple dining rooms, arrival options, bars, lounges, and on-site luxury accommodation.
Design you perfect decor, menus and drink options with our Award Winning In-House Planning, Mixology & Catering Team to truly make your day a reflection of you and your tastes. Unlimited Wedding Planning & Menu Consultation appointments are included as no wedding should ever be the same. Varied array of catering options available including buffets, platter service, three course meals and afternoon tea services catering for groups of all sizes up to a maximum capacity of 100 daytime and 180 evening.
This Fourth Generation Family Run Wedding Venue only takes one wedding each day with a maximum capacity each year, guaranteeing their full and undivided attention to be yours. Flexible arrival options are available including 'The Blakelands Weekender' for a whole weekend package, night before 'Hen & Stag Packages', early arrival to their Honeymoon Suite & not forgetting, their perfect day starter, the Loft for all your pampering needs. For 2027 onwards, the Loft will also be accompanied by the Lounge to ensure an epic start to the day for both sides of the wedding party.
The Estate offers set packages including Twilight, Afternoon Banquet and their classic 'Country House' Package but also allows you to build your own day starting with your venue hire fee and adding food and drink options to your requirements.
Select from five Ceremony Locations including the Maltings Barn, Walled Garden, Croquet Lawns, Blakelands Main House and our Lakeside Ceremony or decide to arrive to the Blakelands House for drinks & canape's following your arrival from Church.

Spring wedding
On the actual wedding day all the staff from Paul, Heather and Samuel to all onsite staff were brilliant, I’d mention one lady in particular but I didn’t catch her name however she took a last minute picture in the loft and was just so lovely and kind all day and at breakfast the next day, hopefully if she reads this she knows it’s her!
Everything we bought to have set up for the ceremony and wedding breakfast was placed just as we asked, loved the little touch of a pizza each being delivered to our room at the end of the evening too so we didn’t miss out on the evening food (which was pizza) - it was thoroughly enjoyed!
We had a brilliant time. The only thing I’d say we were sad to miss out on was a ‘taster’ evening, the only one offered to us was a couple of weeks before our wedding day which we’d already had our final choices meetings so it felt a bit useless to pay to have a taster evening.

The grounds are simply beautiful, and the food was absolutely amazing – so many of our guests commented on it. The team went above and beyond to make us feel completely at ease. They even decorated the venue for us, which took away so much of the stress and allowed us to truly enjoy the build-up to the day. Being able to drop everything off the day before was such a relief, and the Loft for getting ready in was a lovely, thoughtful touch.
We also felt incredibly privileged to be only the third couple to marry in front of the house – a setting that made our ceremony feel truly unique and unforgettable.
Blakelands Estate will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was everything we dreamed of and more.
