A place that holds a very special place in our hearts.

From our first visit to the venue with Janet, we knew immediately that it was the correct venue for our wedding. Janet was incredibly friendly and laid back, emphasising how flexible the modern venue is with no strict guidelines on supplier choices and more importantly no hard sale. This was a breath of fresh air in comparison to some of the other venues we had visited - a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish.

Malt House Barn allows you to create a completely unique wedding day. The suppliers which we hired all worked seamlessly together, some had previously visited MHB, whilst for others it was their first time visiting. Janet dealt directly with some of our regular suppliers, and liaised with them regarding delivery/set up/collection times which again, took some pressure off ourselves.

We were invited to visit the venue on multiple occasions, communication was always 10/10, and Janet was present throughout our set up day whenever we needed her. Our on the day coordinator formed a fantastic working relationship with Janet, adding to the flow of our wedding day. Janet’s husband was also incredibly helpful and friendly, he took time explaining and demonstrating the PA systems the evening before our wedding. The venue was clean and tidy on every single visit - the gardens were also immaculate. We spent a huge proportion of our time in the gardens playing crazy golf, enjoying complimentary drinks and canapés after our wedding ceremony (despite having a little rain in the morning!)

The accommodation, although only offering 3 rooms was perfect for our requirements due to the majority of our guests being local. We weren’t tied up in any contracts which required a huge proportion of rooms to be filled! The large kitchen and communal guest area was a great space - we utilised this for a bridal party evening meal and a bridal breakfast platter.

Overall, we would never hesitate to recommend Janet and Malt House Barns as the perfect wedding venue. We are incredibly grateful for your hard work and overall presence to make our day so special. This has been backed time and time again by our guests comments following our incredible wedding day.

We held our wedding at Malt House Barn this summer and what a wedding! The venue was PERFECT, from the perfectly pruned gardens to the beautiful bridal suite to get ready in. It truly was a family affair and we couldn't be happier. Everything ran smoothly. The garden room is an excellent addition to provide more space for caterers and guests to enjoy! When we were searching for wedding venues we had already viewed quite a few and were starting to realise what we did, and did not want in a wedding venue, when we viewed Malt House Barn it was exactly what we were looking for. Janet was so friendly and welcoming from the first time we met, on the run up to our wedding we visited the venue a few times, and sent emails with so many questions, Janet and the team were always so responsive and nothing was too much trouble. On the day of our wedding Janet was around, she was helpful ensuring everyone had what they needed and was in the right place at the right time. We absolutely love that you can really make the venue your own and each wedding at Malt House Barn is so individual and different. Janet was able to recommend us some amazing suppliers who we are so glad we chose to share our day with us at Malt House Barn. We had so many comments from guests saying what a beautiful venue we had chosen, the gardens were maintained beautifully and made a great backdrop for our wedding photos. It was quite a warm day but the temperature of the venue was perfect at all times, the aircon/heating system is amazing! We love the fact you get access to the venue from 9am the day before your wedding, and 12pm the following day, so you basically get access to the venue for 2 and a half days which we didn’t find anywhere else we viewed. The bridal suite is so spacious we had plenty of room when we were getting ready the morning of the wedding with all our suppliers around. Perfect Wedding Venue – Everything We Could Have Dreamed Of!

We had the most incredible experience at Malt House Barn. From the very beginning, Janet (the owner) was absolutely amazing — warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. She let us book multiple viewings so our family could be involved, and she was always flexible and understanding of our needs.

Janet kept in regular contact with us throughout the planning process, especially while the beautiful new ceremony room was being built. Her communication and support gave us complete peace of mind, and her dedication truly showed.

The venue itself is everything you could possibly want for a wedding. It’s a blank canvas venue, which means you can bring your vision to life and make it truly personal and unique. With three ceremony layout options, it’s easy to find a setup that fits your style and makes your day feel completely your own.

The grounds are immaculate and beautifully maintained — private, peaceful, and the perfect balance of modern elegance with a rustic charm thanks to some lovely finishing touches. There’s ample parking for guests and suppliers, which made everything run smoothly.

Inside, the space is flexible and thoughtfully designed. There’s a fantastic sound system, endless beautiful backdrops for photos, and such a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The wedding suite is stunning — perfect for getting ready in the morning and capturing those special pre-ceremony moments. We also really appreciated having access to the kitchen 24/7, especially for relaxed breakfasts or a takeaway the night before.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Malt House Barn more highly. It felt like our day was just as important to Janet as it was to us — and that personal touch made all the difference.

We got married at Malt House Barn this April and it was the most perfect venue for us! The venue allowed us to decorate and turn our dream wedding into a reality. The space and freedom that the venue provides meant we could have all our favourite people in one place and the accommodation on site was perfect! The addition of the second barn was perfect for us and meant there was no change over in the rooms, so our guests could easily flow between the two. Suppliers were contacted via the venue which meant we didn’t have any worries about their set up during the day. I couldn’t recommend Malt House Barn enough

Great big versatile space, great countryside views! Flexibility to have your own suppliers or talented friends and family to help! We had the day after hire too which was lovely to have a more relaxed gathering with closer friends and family. A great venue with a friendly positive feel, couldn’t have been better!

Malt House Barn was the perfect place for our Summer wedding! It’s an absolutely enchanting venue and we are so happy we got married in their charming little gazebo. It was the best choice and looked mesmerising with all the blossom and canopy trees we hired! Such a heavenly place and all our thanks to Janet for all her support leading up to as well as on the wedding day. Thanks for answering all our queries very promptly! The bridal suite was also immaculate and comfy!

Malt House Barn provided us with the perfect backdrop for our special day. The venue allowed us to add our own stamp on an already spectacular venue. Janet and the team were so helpful during the lead up to and during our wedding day, providing flexibility for any last minute changes. Janet went out of her way to help collect in our blankets from the hay bales outside when the British weather took a turn for the worst whilst our wedding ceremony took place in church. However, as we arrived to start the celebration the sun started shining for us to dance the night away.

I would recommend Malt House Barn to everyone. The venue is absolutely beautiful. I got married there Aug 2024! It was perfect. JANET, a big thank you! She is so welcoming and was there to help during the day even helped with my dress whilst walking down the isle. It was truly amazing. The atmosphere, the grounds! If you're looking for a venue and want your own suppliers, don't hesitate. The location is also great nearby hotels restraints and shops but the venue is secluded no uninvited guest. Malt house barn is a stunning venue, the backdrop, the lawn and the gorgeous building which is so clean and gorgeous! Everything inside is perfect for you to set up the wedding of your dreams - a blank canvas for you to add your own details to it! From the first viewing we knew it would be perfect for us! And it really was. The day was perfect (helped that it was sunny so we could use the gorgeous outside gazebo)! We would absolutely recommend using malt house barn as your venue!

The moment we visited Malt House Barn, we realised immediately this is where we were meant to get married. The venue and grounds are so beautiful and a perfect blank canvas to allow your event to be truly anything you imagine! Janet was such a pleasure and was so helpful from start to finish, answering our many questions and making us feel very welcomed and much less nervous about our big day! Janet was a fantastic hold. She was always available to provide support and assistance when necessary. Also, all the guests were impressed with our venue choice and all gushed over how pretty it was. The grounds are well kept and make such a pretty background for pictures. The gazebo is lovely. The hall is big and accomodated our 150 guests easily without feeling cramped at all. We loved the venue and would pick it over again. We absolutely recommend this place to any intending couple! It is a gorgeous venue.
