The sympathetically restored grade II listed farm complex has lakeside views and is set in its own private courtyard, surrounded by a patchwork of grazing pasture and rolling hills.
As a dry-hire venue, whether you're dreaming of a rustic, boho or festival wedding, Moat Hall Barns provides the blank canvas to express your creativity and individuality. Dating back to the eighteenth century, The Top Barn is the oldest and most architecturally stunning of the buildings and features vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and original red brick walls. Enjoy your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment surrounded by your loved ones and take in the charm and character of the barn's original features.
As if that wasn’t enough, moving upstairs to The Hayloft you will discover the viewing gallery over The Top Barn that doubles as an intimate ceremony area and later a serene space for your guests to relax.
For an outdoor celebration, The Lakeside offers a gorgeous waterside gazebo where you can exchange your vows framed by breathtaking views of the rolling hills. Adjacent to the lake is The Paddock, a lush open space to site an elegant marquee, tipi or bell tents and where guests both young and old can play garden games.

Magical venue and incredible owners
Ben and Amy were always very understanding and supportive throughout the planning process. They always have the couples best interest at heart. We went for the wedding coordination package which was a fantastic decision. Without Ben and Amy the day wouldn't have run as smoothly as it did. They helped ease nerves and reassure us throughout the process. My husband had had surgery not long before the wedding and became quite ill on the wedding day. Ben and Amy supported us wherever they could throughout this. So many people commented on how fantastic they both were!
The venue itself is utterly gorgeous and has so much charm. One of the best parts about this venue (other than the incredible owners) is how much you can really add your own stamp. I love seeing the variety of weddings that have taken place there and how each couple have made it their own.
We also loved how there were lots of different spaces, meaning we could have an outdoor games area and a boardgame area as well as the room for the wedding breakfast which later became the dance floor.
Could not recommend them enough! Thank you so much for such a magical day!

Beautiful Venue
We had the most incredible wedding reception at Moat Hall Barns and recieved so many amazing comments from our guests.
I don't need to describe the beauty of the venue as the photos speak for themselves.
Amy and Ben were fantastic from start to finish! We felt so comfortable and at ease from our first visit, and they were incredibly helpful during the planning.
They coordinated for us on the day and it was absolute perfection, we didn't have to think about anything, we just relaxed and had the best time!
We cannot thank you enough, it really was the best day ever!

Perfect Day
We spent a lot of time looking at venues online, knowing that we wanted a dry hire venue which turned out to be much more difficult to find than we thought! We came across Moat Hall Barns and instantly booked a viewing. It was actually the only venue we viewing in person – we only needed to visit once to know that it was perfect!
Amy and Ben were so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process. We absolutely loved knowing that the venue truly was dry hire and that we could craft our day into exactly what we wanted it to be! We opted to pay for their wedding organiser package and we were blown away by the support and advice offered both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself to make sure that every element ran as smoothly as it did.
Everything was perfect and we honestly couldn't fault a thing.
We were able to hand over communications with our vendors to Amy and Ben which really took the stress off in the weeks leading up to the wedding. They were so accommodating and allowed us to have everything the way we wanted it - including a silent disco to end the night! Our guests have not stopped raving about how brilliant and well organised the venue was.
We also absolutely loved the glamping pod that we were able to stay in the night of the wedding – it was just so lovely to be able to stay at the venue.
Overall, we had the most perfect day and would recommend the venue to anyone!

Stunning venue
We are so grateful for all the help Ben and Amy have provided us. They have a beautiful venue that you have the freedom to style however you like. We went for the outdoor ceremony area. The weather thankfully held up and all our guests were commenting on how beautiful it was. We also opted for the on-the-day wedding coordination. Amy helped us with our timeline and this made things move more smoothly on our wedding day. I'm sure there was a lot going on behind the scenes to make it all work. We all had an amazing day.

Our fairytale wedding
Amy and Ben are fantastic and walked us through every element of our day including suppliers and timings. The venue is stunning - you need to visit it to believe it. We’re so glad we came across this beautiful venue and the gorgeous couple who own it.

Highly recommend
We would highly recommend Moat Hall barns to any couple for their wedding. We had a brilliant experience with Amy and Ben right from the beginning. We are 100% happy that we chose them for our special day. The venue is just stunning and finished to such a high standard. Our guests and I couldn’t have wished for a better day at Moat Hall. We chose to have our ceremony in the beautiful hayloft of the barn. The outside grounds offered amazing space, the children had a lovely day and enjoyed playing outside, as did the adults as we were blessed with a sunny day and enjoyed the outdoor music that we had. We had 80+ guests for our wedding breakfast and this was nicely accommodated in the barn with tables and chairs in a horseshoe format. We had a pizza van outside in the evening and again this just worked so well with the set up and the outside space. Although it is a dry hire venue, the venue is suited to any style that you wish to have for your wedding and the freedom to choose your own suppliers added to the positive experience. We wanted a more laid back festival type wedding but it’s such a beautiful place it would be equally suited to more formal wedding styles if you wished.

Amy, Ben and their team have done an incredible job transforming the place into a perfect setting for any wedding or event. We had so many lovely compliments from our wedding guests about the venue and how stunning the barn looked.
We stayed in the new honeymoon suite on site - this is a perfect addition to the venue for newlyweds. It has great amenities, an en-suite with an easy-to-use shower and comfy bed.
We can't praise this place enough and really appreciate all the help from Amy and Ben in the lead up and during our wedding weekend. Kate & Matt B

Amazing Venue and people
My wife and I got married at Moat Hall Barns in June 2023 (Always late leaving reviews). Our experience with the venue, and in particular Ben and Amy, was nothing short of fantastic. The venue is stunning and was exactly what we were after, and nothing was too much trouble for Ben and Amy, who helped us out in so many ways I couldn't list them all. I can not recommend this venue enough for both the location and setting, but also for the people.

The Best Day of My Life
Everything was perfect from start to finish - this venue couldn’t have been better with so many different areas and such a beautiful location, everything about it was just stunning. We had the best day of our lives and we couldn’t have pulled it off without such an incredible venue to have it in.

Everything We Dreamed Of And More
Having just had the most magical wedding at Moat Hall Barns, we can't thank Amy & Ben enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more.
The venue has been finished to such a beautiful standard, and they have created a space that any couple would be lucky enough to share such a special day in. All of our guests commented on the character of the barn, the stunning setting, and how approachable both Ben & Amy were.
From viewing during renovations last year & trusting in their vision, we feel so incredibly lucky that we were able to share such a perfect day with our friends and family. A truly unique venue, with such a family feel. We are so happy that we chose it for our special day.

What a venue!
What a venue! Everyone who came was blown away by the beauty of it. We had a very wet day but having the outdoor space undercover was amazing. Being able to look down from the balcony was so fun as we could see everyone having a good time but it was also a nice place for people to have a quiet chat. Amy and Ben have been extremely helpful and recommended lots of the suppliers we used and they were all great. Lots of little gems of wisdom were given when we met with Amy and Ben the day before our wedding, which calmed all our nerves about things coming together. They were so friendly and went the extra mile for us. We would book it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing in every way
Beautiful venue and setting as commented by our guests. Amy and Ben were incredible throughout, nothing was too much trouble. We could not recommend Moat Hall enough for the most amazing wedding and fantastic value for money. We would not change a thing ❤️
