Gone are dusty old words and bland templates; with me, everything is completely original. I take the traditional and put a modern, joyful and personal twist on it: based on your unique love story.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's a serious day with a serious commitment, but it should also be happy, and fun! I will never deliver a boring ceremony!
It's all about using humour and laughter to enhance the emotion of the wedding day, weaving a line between serious and funny to create something truly unique: like you!
I don't use checklists or forms to gather information; instead, we just chat! You tell me how you see the day, then you tell me some stories, and I do the rest. And it's always the little things that matter most.
Then, I will take those little things and weave them through the very structure of the ceremony, creating something new and exciting, emotional, funny, personal, and yours. Always and completely yours.

- An intimate wedding where the couple exchanged vows promising to remember to load the dishwasher and pick up their socks!
- An illustrious, sparkling celebrity wedding at Christmas that was featured in Hello! Magazine. We stripped away the circus and it all became simple, focussing on the people and not the spangles; and how it all started with a dodgy cup of tea.

As a professional screewriter and experienced celebrant, I put complex, tried and tested story structure to work on your ceremony to produce something that no one else can, that your guests will never forget, and that feels perfectly like you :)

Just exceptional...
I feel it's important to qualify this with the fact that I've attended hundreds of weddings as a professional photographer. Marcus is the best I've ever seen and when I needed someone to take care of a big day of my own, there was literally no one else who could even come close.
Let's talk facts for a minute. Marcus is exceptionally professional, articulate and he can really project his voice. The degree to which Marcus honours these traits elevates him.
However... it's the emotional side that really, really showcases how wonderful a soul he is and why having him is, I would argue, essential.
He took time (and a very long drive) to come and sit with my wife and I to really understand the connection. To hear our stories and what made us as a family, unique.
He then managed to weave together the most beautiful, heartwarming and emotive service, I've ever seen.
His words will echo and resonate with us for years to come and that is something that places him firmly above any other options.
If you're sat on the fence, please don't. Reach out to him and you'll be greeted with immediate warmth and his incredible humour and when it's your time to stand before your guests, they, along with you will be absolutely blown away by this man and his talent.

Exceptional!
Marcus was nothing short of amazing, he’s exceptional at what he does and the service he provides from start to finish is outstanding. He clearly takes great pride in his relationship with his clients, he took great efforts to make our ceremony personal to us which meant it couldn’t have been more memorable. We adored every moment he created and we were overwhelmed with how magical he made it for us. To put it simply, Marcus was born to do his craft and it shows!

We stumbled across Marcus on Hitched after quite a long search, and we are so happy we held out until we found him.
Less than a couple of minutes in to our initial chat we knew he was the right person for us. It felt like we were chatting to a friend we had known for years.
Over the months leading up to the wedding Marcus helped us create the most amazing ceremony. There was laughter, there was tears. It was the perfect balance of both.

Marcus was our perfect cup of tea
from start to finish Marcus was just wow, he truely took the time to get to know us as a couple to make the start of our day so personal! We felt like we had known him for years even tho we had never met! We had planned our wedding from Austraila and Marcus was so unbelivably helpful even helping us with finding a venue!. Naming ceremony
Marcus is (as he says!) the ultimate storyteller! We met Marcus and told him our story of adopting our little girl and buying her the Charlie Mackesy book and from there he took us on an amazing journey. The ceremony made us laugh, made us cry and feel every emotion in between. It was a day we will never forget and better than we ever thought it would be. We look forward to showing our little girl when she is older. Our guests were swept up in the story and every single one has told us how lovely the ceremony was. Both our girls were actively included in the ceremony but Marcus was also ready in case they were distracted by anything! Marcus is genuinely one of the nicest people I have met. He listened to us and included every detail of the personal stories we gave him. We cannot thank him enough for the beautiful day he gave our family.

Absolutely Marvelous
Marcus was truly the best celebrant we could have asked for. He went above and beyond—not only delivering the most beautiful, heartfelt ceremony that perfectly captured our story and emotions, but also stepping in almost like a planner on the day itself. He made sure everyone was where they needed to be, kept things running seamlessly, and brought such warmth and calm energy to the whole experience. His speech was thoughtful, funny, and deeply personal; our guests absolutely adored him and were so happy to engage with him throughout the day. It was all completely magical, and we can’t recommend him highly enough to anyone looking for a celebrant who genuinely cares and creates something unforgettable.

Brilliant Officiant
Marcus made our wedding day so special. He took the time to learn our story and craft a personalized keynote that the guests really enjoyed. He’s a gifted speaker. Marcus also provided guidance around a few lovely rituals we included in the ceremony (quaiche, knot-tying, ring bearers). He’s an absolute professional and we highly recommend him. Wonderfully personal ceremony
When we started looking for celebrants for our wedding we knew we wanted something a bit more different and liked Marcus's focus on storytelling. He put a lot of effort into helping us figure out what kind of ceremony we wanted, including a venue visit, coming up with new ideas to go with the vibe we wanted to create, and keeping us up to date on the progress. The ceremony ended up being so personal and fitting to us that many guests assumed Marcus had known us for years - it wasn't just the content and writing that impressed everyone, but the fantastic delivery as well. We've received so many compliments on the ceremony and really couldn't have made a better choice for a celebrant.

Marcus was excellent!
Marcus is wonderfully charismatic and was a delight to work with from day one. He was incredibly professional, warm and welcoming of all of our ideas. He dealt with a couple of problems beforehand and on the day with extraordinary elan. The ceremony he prepared for us was the perfect balance of funny, heartfelt and touching. Lots of our guests mentioned how wonderful he had been. Anyone looking for a celebrant couldn't go wrong talking to Marcus.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G MC and Speech Writer
We are so grateful that we chose Marcus as the MC for our wedding day. He went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we were taken care of at every step. Not only was he professional and attentive, but he was also such a joy to be around—many of our guests even went out of their way to compliment him.
There was some behind-the-scenes difficulties on the day itself, and Marcus (along with our other wonderful vendors) ensured that we never felt it. Thanks to him, the entire experience felt seamless. He even made special touches happen, like surprising my friend and cousin with birthday balloons, which went such a long way.
