Firstly, a note on the venue....

We first visited the hotel just after getting engaged and from the first visit we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The venue had everything and was in the most gorgeous setting. We initially fell in love with the ceremony room, and that big beautiful bay window. We could immediately picture us standing there saying our "I Do's". The room was perfect as it was and we didn't feel the need to spend a fortune to decorate it.

We then had our reception drinks in the garden as the weather was so nice. This was a perfect Cotswolds setting with lots of garden space for guests to catch up but also seating if needed. Even though we did not have exclusive use of the hotel, the wedding party was tucked away and we didn't even notice any other guests at the hotel which made it feel like we had exclusivity!

The second room that we used for the wedding breakfast was perfect, we had all round tables and it looked so good with the tables set up. This was also the room we used for the DJ and evening party which, with the fairy lights option and mirrors on the wall looked so cool!

As we had guests who were staying from all over the world, it was important that there was space for them to stay. All the hotel rooms are beautifully decorated and well equipped which was a huge bonus for us to be able to offer our guests! Another note on the hotel rooms, both the bridal party and grooms party both stayed the night prior and got ready at the venue. The bridal party was in the Games Keeper which was perfect for the whole group to get ready and the hair and make up had ample room. It made the morning a relaxed and magical experience which started the day just as we had wanted.


A note on the staff...


Both pre wedding and on the day the staff were faultless. Mia, the wedding co ordinator, had been more than what we could have asked for. Picking us up from where her predecessor had left off was such a smooth transition and any worries were put to bed from her first email. No email or question since was left unanswered and she has been so helpful and attentive to our every need. Allowing us to be adaptive and with her flexibility to our quirks, the pork pie cake logistics being one that springs to mind... along with the timings of our speeches which we know wouldn't have been easy. This was all taken in her stride, along with the help from her team, to ensure we had the day we wanted with our own personal touches. If we could do it all over again, we would do it exactly the same.

The whole team on the day, we and all of our guests thought, were unable to be faulted. The level of service was exquisite, and this is something that stuck with us from the day we came for dinner at the hotel over a year ago. The help given to us and all of our suppliers ensured that everything ran smoothly and everyone of our guests, including our suppliers, had an amazing time. The communication between us, suppliers and the team meant everything ran so smoothly and that is down to the amazing team and set up at the venue.

In the evening, we were handed over to the team who again looked after us so well. The bar staff and lady heading the evening meant that every detail continued all the way to breakfast and check out the next morning.


A little note on the food....

A few moths prior, we had a menu tasting. We both love our food so thought this would be an easy part of all the decision making, but we were wrong! We struggled to shortlist the extensive menu options down to just two for our menu tasting, a credit to the kitchen team for creating such beautiful sounding dishes to choose from. When we sat down to decide on our final menu, we still found it a huge challenge to decide between the two, and took comfort from whichever one we chose we knew that it would be something that our guests would love. On the day the food was nothing short of exceptional. So many of our guests have said how they have never had such good food at a wedding!! Trying to impress a whole room of people when only two of them have made the choice of food is a hard task, but one that the team managed with ease. Alongside this, a note on how exquisite the level of service was by the restaurant team. The attention to detail felt like we were sat in a Michelin starred restaurant which blew us and our guests away.

We cant speak highly enough of this venue. The whole weekend was more than we could have asked for which is largely down to the choice we made to get married here.

Thank you to the whole team at the Hare and Hounds, we cannot wait to come back and visit for years to come.

We are blown away by our autumn wedding at The Hare and Hounds Hotel in Tetbury! We couldn't have asked for the day to go any better and we are incredibly grateful to Mia and all the H&H staff. Nothing was too much to ask and every detail was taken care of so we could just enjoy the day. The venue was stunning, food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were absolutely out of this world! Ourselves plus our guests were so taken care of from start to finish. Having Mia was like having our very own personal wedding coordinator - she listened to all of our ideas and needs and didn't miss one single thing. Her communication throughout was perfect and she is exceptional at her job.
I know we are bias however after attending so many weddings before our own, ours by far went the smoothest and guests didn't have a thing to complain about! It goes to show that you do not need to pay out for a fancy castle or rustic barn to make your day special - the most important is the venue's operation, staff support, food and great vibes!

We had the most perfect wedding at The Hare & Hounds Hotel. From start to finish, Mia and the team were fantastic. From initial planning, Mia was really responsive to all our queries and helped with everything along the way.
On the day itself, Mia and the team really blew us away with how they brought everything together. They made our vision come to life. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent.

We recently had our wedding at The Hare and Hounds and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning and was everything we could have dreamed of for our autumn wedding. Everything ran so smoothly and was so well organised, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every moment of the day.
We received so many lovely comments from our guests about how beautiful the food was, especially the canapés and the sirloin of beef, which were both exceptional. The staff were incredible throughout—friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail was just right.
A special thank you to Mia, from a very nervous bride! Nothing was ever too much trouble, even when I asked countless questions. She was calm, professional, so friendly, and always quick to respond. Mia truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and I can’t thank her enough.

The Hare and Hound were nothing less than amazing. The team were phenomenal, the venue beautiful and the food was amazing. Our whole day was absolutely perfect and so relaxed and that was all down to the team there. Our day was exactly what we wanted and the moment we arrived on the Saturday we were relaxed and had absolutely nothing to worry about. We cannot recommend the venue higher!!

We were recommended the Hare and Hounds by a work colleague who had a fantastic wedding day - and what a recommendation. Mia and all the staff were truly amazing from the initial consultation, to the planning and then the main day itself. Everything was so smooth and organised that stress levels for the wedding party were non existent. All the food was amazing (from Canapes to the wedding breakfast) and the accommodation was superb - especially the Gamekeepers Lodge (honeymoon suite) - WOW !
I can not recommend the venue enough - and that was confirmed by all the guests who also had an amazing time. It was absolutely perfect.

We got married at the Hare and Hounds Hotel in August 25 and can simply say it was the best day of our lives. We found the hotel as an option on Hitched and quickly booked to view it as we felt it had a special touch. From the moment we walked through the doors we knew it was our venue. Mia is the wedding coordinator for this venue and is the perfect person to book your wedding with. From start to finish she gave the best guidance and made us feel so at ease with the process of planning a wedding. Her communication throughout was second to none, we never felt our ideas were too crazy or that she couldn’t help turn any of our dreams into reality. She helped to unpack all our wedding pieces the day we arrived and made sure everything was set up perfectly how we wanted. We truly believe our wedding planning experience would have been completely different without the help and support of Mia. In addition to this all other venue staff did everything they could to make our day so personal. It was also a massive bonus that the venue was as lovely and well kept as it was ensuring that every part of our day was so picturesque. We first went for a viewing of the Hare & Hounds in August last year and were very impressed by how beautiful the venue is and decided to book our wedding for the following June.

We are so pleased that we made this decision. Mia was quick to respond to any queries that we had and was also very helpful in recommending some amazing suppliers, which made things really easy for me to piece together the wedding.

We had the most amazing day, which went just as we had hoped, thanks to Mia and the Team at the H&H. They dealt with some of our last minute requests and were extremely professional on the day. The guests have all said what a lovely wedding it was and that the food was delicious and were impressed by the size of the portions!

We chose to have the Hare and Hounds as our wedding venue about a year prior to our special day.
Once we have spoken with the team, they were always friendly and courteous and willing to help as much as possible. They were able to assist with complex arrangements around dietary necessities. They laid out a time line with us and were as flexible as possible in accommodating matters we wanted to make our day stand out.
The venue is beautiful and set in a picturesque part of the Cotswolds. However still relatively accessible from Bristol. Having family traveling from all corners of the globe, it was great that the Hare and Hounds were able to accommodate most of the wedding guests.
I would readily recommend this venue to anyone looking to have their special day in a wonderful and memorable place, with solid and dependable support throughout.

The experience we had with Mia and the team at The Hare and Hounds was nothing short than amazing from start to finish.

Following our first visit in January 2023 we knew we would want to hold our wedding there in March 2025.

Working with Mia as our co-ordinator was so smooth - she was super responsive and quick to come back with in depth answers to any questions we had. She constantly kept us updated and aware of any changes or confirmations that she had been given.

We had a joint meeting a few months before which really left no doubt in our minds that we had the right venue for us. We had 75 guests in the day and 100 - 110 in the evening and nothing was too much trouble.

As we approached the day Mia liaised with our vendors to ensure they were confident with their set-up and definitely helped ease my nerves on our day before meeting. The handover between her and any of the staff the days before was impeccable - myself, my family and bridal party were booked onsite for the day before and she ensured we had a table booked and that reception were aware we would be wanting to have breakfast delivered to the Gameskeepers Cottage.

On the note of rooms, the selection at The Hare and Hounds was amazing. We had decided to book the Gameskeepers Cottage for the night before and the night of the wedding which allowed so much space for myself and my bridal party to get ready.
There was space to spare in the Cottage for (at any given time) at least 7 people. Even when the photographer arrived it didn't feel crowded.
The Cottage itself is beautiful with a small kitchen area with a fridge, separate bathroom and shower and lovely outside spaces (including a hot tub).

On the day, Mia popped between the main venue space and the Cottage to keep me updated on the progress and plans which helped ease my nerves and she supported my Groom in managing his nerves as well.

During the drinks reception Mia managed the team (both Hare and Hounds staff and our external suppliers) move things between the Beaufort Restaurant, with its stunning bay windows and high beamed ceiling, to the Westonbirt Room, with its gorgeous windows and neutral walls and floors. The space offered in the Westonbirt Room is perfect for any colour scheme - we had burnt orange, terracotta and browns.

Our group shots were held at the front of The Hotel which is picture perfect with an area for a fantastic confetti shot and even though the Hotel is found close to a main road you can not tell.
Throughout the hotel there are several smaller rooms that can accommodate couple pictures and other, more intimate group shots.

As guests were seated we were able to have our couple portraits within the gorgeous grounds and there are plenty of options between wooded areas or more modern shots against the lovely light coloured stones walls.

When selecting the food you get a private food tasting a few months before your date and the team are incredibly accommodating for dietary requirement. On the day we had so many compliments around the food, even from some of our very fussy guests.

The transition from wedding breakfast to evening reception was seamless and the handover between Mia and the team was incredibly smooth. Our team for the evening were on point, there whenever I had a question but not intrusive so they felt just like part of the party.

As part of the package you have your own private bar that is placed perfectly between the outside space and the Westonbirt Room where your guests will dance the night away. Our personal bartender kept all the guests entertained and never waiting too long for a drink. We opted for a hog roast (at a slight additional cost) but it was absolutely worth it. We had the weather on our side so had the pig on the spit for our guests to see and I don't think we had any left over!

Right from the start to even after The Hare and Hounds have been incredible in their support and knowledge on events. Their professionalism was second to none. We could not recommend them highly enough.

All the staff were outstanding, professional and attentive. Mia our wedding coordinator was amazing, always making me feel relaxed and nothing was too much. The rooms are beautiful and the honeymoon suite luxurious and homely We couldn't fault anything and all the guests said the same. just overall the best day ever. thankyou so much❤️🫶
