Made our very quick wedding a fairytale
Abney Park chapel is like a fairytale. Even with such a tiny group of family and friends it was the perfect backdrop to our wedding, filled with love and laughter. It was the perfect intimate ceremony venue. It was so special walking through the park in our outfits and getting congratulations from runners, dog walkers, and families. It felt like the whole community was there to cheer us on. The chapel is the perfect blend of historical grandeur and modern comfort. Knowing there was an accessible bathroom should my mum need it helped remove so many worries from the day (and came in handy when I ended up with a dress full of confetti!) as well as it being step free so we didn't need to risk compromising her health. Abney Park is such a special place to us, and being able to get married there was literally a dream come true. Thank you to all of the team that made it happen.

Truely special venue - nowhere like it in London.
The Hackney Venues team (who manage the Chapel as a venue) were really great and helpful. Jess was our point of contact and is really sweet and helpful, as was the rest of the team. They were there on the day to help guide guests and suppliers.
One downside was that no vehicles are allowed within the cemetery so suppliers, guests and brides all have to walk along the path to the Chapel. This does, however, allow guests to properly appreciate the Chapel and how special it feels.
I believe we were the 3rd wedding in the Chapel and I’m sure there will be many many more.
