We got engaged in June 2025 and immediately started searching for our perfect 2026 wedding venue. We visited everything from DIY barns and walled gardens to luxurious castle estates and even a boathouse. While they all had their own charm, none of them quite worked for our 120 guests, each presenting different challenges. Mar Lodge was excellent value for the money. Then we found Mar Lodge - and from the moment we saw it, we knew it was the one. We rented the entire estate from Friday through to Monday, and it exceeded every expectation. Mar Lodge is truly one of a kind. The main lodge, the Stag Ballroom, and the surrounding grounds are simply breathtaking. The Victorian architecture and interiors are unlike anything we've seen before, creating an unforgettable setting with an incredible sense of character and grandeur. The venue comfortably accommodated all of our guests, and every space was put to good use throughout the weekend. We were fortunate enough to have our ceremony outside, but the indoor rooms are equally stunning and would have made a beautiful alternative. The billiards room quickly became everyone's favourite gathering spot and was probably the most-used room over the weekend! The entire estate has an undeniable wow factor and provides the perfect backdrop for a traditional Scottish wedding. Having exclusive use of the lodge for the whole weekend made the experience even more special, allowing us to relax and spend quality time with our family and friends. Finally, a huge thank you to the entire Mar Lodge team. From our very first conversations through to the wedding weekend itself, they were exceptional. They were friendly, responsive, accommodating, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Their support made the whole experience completely stress-free. We truly had the best weekend of our lives, and judging by the feedback from our guests, they did too. We couldn't recommend Mar Lodge more highly to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable wedding venue.

Not sure where to begin to describe our recent magical experience at Logie Country House for our daughter’s wedding. From the very first visit Steph and Tim were so welcoming and hospitable, they were so relaxed about the use of the house and had some wonderful stories to tell about its history. The whole house has such character and it was amazing to have such an amount of space to accommodate our closest family and friends - everything has been thought of to cater from the very young to the very old and everyone in between no one could be bored whilst visiting Logie - the gardens are superb for a stroll on a lovely summers evening or fresh air first thing in the morning. Our wedding planner/events manager Gillian, where do I start, the months of planning and putting everything together was made so much easier with your help and guidance - your advice was so helpful and ensured everything went to plan on the day - how you manage it I don’t know - just amazing!!! Gillian was on hand for every step of the way - the communication was excellent, the advice and tips for creating the most perfect weekend was invaluable we could not have pulled it all off without Gillian and the team throughout the whole weekend - Sophie was also so very helpful throughout the weekend it is clear she is learning from the best in Gillian. Can’t thank Gillian enough or praise her enough for all the effort she put into the whole weekend it was so very much appreciated and I highly recommend anyone planning their wedding at Logie to trust Gillian implicitly she will not let you down. Hudsons catering - wow just wow, they did such an amazing job of all of the food the whole weekend, all the guests commented on the quality of the food on the Saturday and the Sunday - the presentation was just lovely and we had so much food that no one went hungry for the whole weekend that’s for sure…. Logie really is the most perfect venue for your wedding wether it’s an intimate family affair or a big elaborate event you can have it all here with all the best people to help to bring your dream to life. You most certainly will not be disappointed if you decide to host your wedding here it is the most romantic and exciting place to celebrate the start of your married life together - the dream wedding where anyone’s wedding vision can come to life - you most certainly will not be disappointed. Go have that look round, go and see the beauty of the venue in all its glory I promise it’s everything and more you will be booking your big day as soon as you view it!!!!! Glen Tanar is such a special place! As soon as we visited after getting engaged, there was no question we would be getting married there. We had an amazing day and held our ceremony in the ballroom with our photos at the gorgeous trout loch after. A small queue formed outside the venue as everyone that stepped inside had to pause and take in the incredible interior of the ballroom. Stuart Rattray at Glen Tanar was so easy to deal with throughout and had some really good suggestions for us. He was a very calm presence on the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. A couple of last minute hitches were resolved by Stuart without us even knowing! We had the best day and our friends and family had an absolute ball. Thank you so much to Stuart and everyone else at Glen Tanar - our wedding was absolutely perfect!

Just WOW!! From arrival until departure we had the best service and experience! On Saturday we got married at raemoir and the venue alone is just absolutely breathtaking! The food was just absolutely Fantastic all weekend cooked to perfection we had venison and chicken both dishes spectacular! We had the grazing tables it was beautiful! The homemade sausages rolls were the biggest hit! We can’t thank the staff enough for all their help and attentiveness during the whole weekend nothing was too much trouble! All the rooms were absolutely stunning and of course the staff of the show the extra getting ready area in the bridal suite!! We got married in the woodland area and it was just beautiful 🤩 Thank you so much!
