Glen Tanar Ballroom is a beautiful wedding venue in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire that caters to all sizes of Highland weddings. Unique and exclusive, this venue provides a memorable setting amongst some of Scotland's most breathtaking scenery.

We are hosting a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 11th October if you would prefer to attend that. Facilities and Capacity

Glen Tanar is a vast estate that was originally formed in 1869. Surrounded by Caledonian pine forests and riverfront views, it features several cosy holiday cottages, an on-site chapel, and a stunning Victorian ballroom. Glen Tanar is home to various excellent event sites, allowing you to host every phase of your celebration at one venue. You can host a traditional wedding ceremony in the Chapel of St. Lesmo, situated just a short walk across the meadow from the main property. Or, exchange vows on the stunning banks of the Trout Loch. After your ceremony, you and your guests can move into the spectacular ballroom for an evening of dinner and dancing. The ballroom has vaulted ceilings adorned with over 700 antlers, original oak floors, a roaring open fire, and a beautiful grand piano. Manicured lawns surround the space for a cocktail hour or lawn games. This space can accommodate up to 160 guests.

You and your guests will enjoy having exclusive access to this venue and experiencing Victorian grandeur in a private setting. Their team offers a range of wedding packages that suits different needs, that includes the use of the ballroom, getting-ready suites, a fully-equipped catering kitchen, round banquet tables and chairs, tableware, glassware, garden furniture, and garden games. They work with some of Scotland's best caterers, who would be happy to create a custom menu for your special day. You and your guests can also rent one of the eight luxury cottages if you'd like to extend your time on the property and enjoy all the area has to offer.
