Set in beautiful, landscaped gardens near Halifax, West Yorkshire, the 380-year-old Jacobean house has long been one of Yorkshire's most-loved venues for marriages, ceremonies and wedding celebrations.
Holdsworth House really is totally unique and wonderfully photogenic, having featured on TV several times including in the BBC's BAFTA-winning Last Tango in Halifax. The four star hotel is packed with interesting and historic features, and is traditionally styled with wood panelled halls, beamed ceilings and furnished with antiques, paintings and tapestries.
We can host every part of your wedding - the marriage ceremony, the wedding breakfast, all your catering requirements and your evening party. We have had the pleasure of hosting many smaller weddings from 8 - 40 guests and same sex weddings; all party sizes, couples, families and friends are most welcome.
There are five rooms available for ceremonies from 2 to 120 guests, including The Gazebo - the smallest licensed venue in the country. The Stuart Room can accommodate up to 120-seated guests for a wedding breakfast and 150 for an evening party. You can even marry outdoors in the beautiful Colonnade Courtyard with drinks and handmade canapés on the lawns or patios.
Holdsworth House has 38 en suite bedrooms for overnight stays including a beautiful bridal suite, newly refurbished Executive Suites, Doubles, Twins and Inter-connecting rooms. The restaurant has been awarded two red AA Rosettes for 17 consecutive years and the same restaurant chefs will be responsible for your wedding, giving your guests restaurant quality food.
The manor is independently owned and for over 50 years we have achieved an enviable reputation for friendly, efficient service.
