Wild Orchid is a professional make up business based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, offering make up services for your weddings and other special occasions. The company is owned and run by makeup artist Kirsty Pender. She trained with renowned, award winning make up artist, Zoë Kennedy (owner of ZK Make Up Studios) and works nationwide. Before Kirsty qualified as a MUA, she spent 13 years in the floristry industry. Specialising in weddings, Kirsty has attended over 500 wedding days, working closely with happy couples and seeing nearly every look and style imaginable.

Kirsty specialises in luxury Bridal Makeup and, with a wealth of experience, has extensive knowledge to deliver the perfect look for your magical day. Whether subtle elegance or stunning flamboyance, you will be in great hands to ensure your big day starts perfectly. Ahead of your wedding day, Wild Orchid MUA offers bridal makeup trials where you can get to know your wedding day artist and begin to bring your dream look to life. On your wedding morning, she will arrive as early as needed, allowing you to make the most out of the big day, and won't leave you until final touch-ups have been done and you're about to walk down the aisle. Wild Orchid also covers all other looks from Prom to Glam, Events and is very confident in Asian Bridal.
Kirsty is constantly learning and striving to provide the latest styles for her clients, using top-end products to ensure your chosen look lasts the entire day.

Tailored packages can be discussed depending on individual needs
How far in advance should I contact you?
As early as possible as to ensure dates are available and also to book in a mandatory bridal makeup trial (ensuring you have the best experience on your wedding day!)

Travelling charge will depend on the location and time taken but they average at £20

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
I can personally do up to 8 clients on the day, if there is more then I shall bring an assistant
Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?

What are the forms of payment?
My payment terms are on the day of the trial for the trial makeup and payment for the bride and bridesmaids on the big day can be made in advance or on the day via bank transfer

Wonderful experience & HIGHLY recommended! 😍
Kirsty was amazing from start to finish! She came early on the day and even stayed a while to touch up. She tailored all the looks to our outfits and was happy to make any changes we requested. Myself, my sister & my mum all felt so comfortable and beautiful and the make up lasted all day 😍 You're amazing at what you do!! We will definitely use you for future events too! Xx

Your Big Day Made Better!
Kirsty (Wild Orchid MUA) is exactly the person you want around on the morning of your wedding. Her calm, confident and professional attitude made me feel completely at ease and allowed me to really enjoy getting ready with my bridesmaids.
I had no idea what I wanted for my makeup, but Kirsty helped me find a style and look that I loved on my Make Up Trial, and on the day, made me fee a million dollars! I felt fantastic on the day, and looking back through my wedding photos, I couldn’t be happier with the service and wonderful extra touch of a mini touch-up kit!

Wild orchid mua - amazing!
I cannot recommend Kirsty highly enough. Throughout the whole process, she was calm, friendly and just lovely. Kirsty was very accommodating and I didn’t feel ‘caked’ in make-up (my main fear!) and I became a complete convert to false eye-lashes!! She has the ability to make you feel amazing and yet look so natural. She is just brilliant. Make sure she’s the first thing you book!!!

Fantastic!
Kirsty was just wonderful throughout the whole process from first contact to the big day itself.
The wedding itself was organised in a very small timeframe so we only had weeks between our first message and the wedding day but Kirsty changed dates in her diary to ensure I could have my MUA trial to ensure everything would be perfect for the big day. Kirsty remained in contact from start to finish, was consistently very friendly and super helpful!
Kirsty made myself, my Mum, and sister feel completely comfortable throughout the morning and we were all thrilled with the results. Not being a big make-up wearer day to day Kirsty kept my make-up visible but natural looking which was exactly what I wanted. All of our hair and make-up lasted the day through even with me on the dance floor until the end! I couldn't recommend Wild Orchid MUA highly enough. 5 stars all round. Thank you xx

Flawless Service & Went the extra mile!
Kirsty was amazing from start to finish! With so many things on my mind for the big day, Kirsty quickly put my mind at ease and had me smiling and calm from the start. She arrived early and had everything ready to go and made me look and feel amazing. Kirsty also provided a wonderful touch of a mini touch-up kit in case the tears got the better of me. I couldn't recommend Wild Orchid MUA more highly!

Perfect from start to finish
Kirsty was amazing. From first contact she was quick at responding and great at answering any questions I had. We arranged a trial and I showed some inspiration pics and she set to work. She created a fab look and I was so pleased. She checked in after the trial to see if there was anything I wanted to change or adapt. We spoke about changing the colour of the lip and kirsty had so many options. On the day kirsty arrived promptly and set up and got to work. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. I had so many compliments on how flawless I looked and I can't recommend her enough!

Exactly what I wanted!
Kristy was amazing from the moment I messaged, to the moment I walked down the aisle. She was easy to contact, easy to message and an over all a lovely person! Kirsty was very professional, she offered tips and tricks on the trial run, listened to what I wanted and ran with it. My makeup turned out exactly how I wanted it, and I couldn’t have been happier.
Kristy did 4 women’s makeup on the day, she didn’t act stressed or overwhelmed in the slightest. She knew exactly what she was doing and that made me feel at ease.

Better than I could have ever imagined!
I was recommended Kirsty through the florist I was getting my flowers from! I’ve never been so grateful for a recommendation, Kirsty was an absolute angel! I had never had my makeup done professionally before, so didn’t even have the foggiest clue what I wanted for my big day. For my trial she helped me work out what it was I was looking for and brought it to life. We did the trial in the morning and I had an engagement shoot the evening and the make up lasted all day even through a nap! I dare say my make up turned out even better on the big day, and all my bridesmaids were beautifully done too. Honestly it was like hanging out with a friend getting my make up done, felt like I’d know Kirsty for ages, she put me so at ease. All the bridesmaids were singing her praises too, both on how the make up looked and her company. I could not recommend highly enough, which might of come across is my rambling review! But if you’re thinking of booking don’t hesitate and reach out! I’m sure you’ll have no regrets!

Couldn't recommend enough
Kirsty was absolutely fantastic thoroughout the process. She was lovely, professional and upfront from the start. Every choice in the look was collaborative, she had a great balance of suiting my needs and wants and giving her professional opinion.
She is super friendly and she made my trial and the morning of my wedding so much fun. I absolutely loved my look and I even picked up a few ideas on making my own makeup better in the future. My little touch up kit has also come in handy even after the big day!
Would definitely recommend and may try to find an excuse to work with her again.

The best makeup artist!
I have used Kirsty for every event I have wanted to feel beautiful! She is amazing at what she does. Kirsty did my makeup my sisters and my mums for my sisters wedding day and we all looks flawless we all have different types of skin and styles in which Kirsty catered too! full glam to natural any style highly recommend Kirsty!
