When I got engaged I knew I wanted to wear a version of my Mum’s dress on my wedding day, Lisa had previously created a beautiful custom gown for my Dad and Step-Mum’s wedding, and when I discovered that she offers a service reworking vintage and heirloom dresses, I had to get in touch. From our very first phone call, Lisa was just as excited and enthusiastic as I was about the project. We talked through my ideas and how we could transform the dress into my dream dress while keeping its sentimental heart intact. Throughout every fitting, Lisa was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. When I couldn’t decide between having sleeves or not, she came up with the perfect solution, detachable sleeves, allowing me to customise my look on the day. It was such a thoughtful touch that reflected her creativity, skill and understanding of her indecisive client! Lisa treated my very special, sentimental dress with such care and respect, and the final result was beyond anything I could have imagined. Her work is beautiful and finished to the highest standard, but most importantly the dress remained recognisable, keeping the elements I loved most, yet felt fresh, modern, and uniquely mine. I’m so happy I trusted Lisa with such an important task. My only complaint is that I only get to wear it once!

From the very first fitting to the final details, the whole experience with the team were all so special, and I felt incredible wearing it on the day. I truly would never look back at my choice! The girls were brilliant and really understanding throughout the whole process as it's so easy to get overwhelmed! Polly and the team at The Bride provided a wonderful experience of wedding dress shopping and a fantastic service. The Bride stocks a range of beautiful dresses and after speaking to them about what I had in mind they found me my perfect dress from Sassi Holford. Each appointment went smoothly and they made great suggestions about how to alter the dress and what accessories to get. I really cannot recommend them more highly.

I visited a few different bridal shops, as you do, but I started my search at Morgan Davies and ultimately ended up finding my dress there. I chose a stunning Maggie Sottero dress that completely blew everyone away. No one expected me to wear something like it, yet it felt so perfectly me. I didn’t want a traditional look, I wanted to feel sexy, glamorous, and confident - and that’s exactly how I felt in my dress. I had the wonderful help of Sarah, who made the whole experience so enjoyable and relaxed. She was honest, supportive, and gave me the best advice - exactly what I needed. Unlike some other shops where every dress supposedly “looked amazing,” Sarah gave genuine feedback, which I truly appreciated. Morgan Davies in Hitchin is such a beautiful shop with a stunning selection of designs across a wide range of styles. Thank you so much for helping me find my dream dress, something completely different from what I initially imagined, but so much better than I ever could have hoped for. My 5th bridal shop and I definitely saved the best for last! I'd recommend Leigh and Bustle & Bow to any bride. It was the most fun and most relaxed appointment. Leigh is so knowledgeable and I've managed to create a completely bespoke look which I am so excited about. Now the worlds biggest Bustle & Bow fan!

I have recently purchased my dress at Lumi with Helen and I can say that she was just a wonderful woman who helped me with all sorts of questions I had. She was very knowledgeable in having dresses altered. The whole experience for me was a comforting one where I came away with a beautiful dress! Thank you, Helen for all your help.

I went to Posh Frocks with my sisters last year to try on some wedding dresses for my wedding in July of this year and it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff made me feel so comfortable and welcome and put no pressure on me at all to buy. After a chat about the wedding plans and what I was looking for, they picked out a few dresses for me and also let my sisters take a look through the racks and pick a couple, too. I ended up falling in love with the second dress I tried on, which actually turned out to be in their sample sale! I also bought a matching veil. They also helped me organise the alterations through a seamstress they work with (Dasha), who did a fabulous job and had my dress ready in plenty of time before the wedding. 10/10, definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend Enchanted Bridal Boutique enough. From the moment I walked in I had the most wonderful experience. Mel was so friendly and welcoming, she listened to my ideas and knew exactly what dress I wanted. Amy was also amazing with all the alterations. The most perfect experience!
