Wedding Catering in Hertfordshire

We first met Lucy from Host Catering in February 2024 when we attended a wedding fair at Maidens Barn. She was there with her team offering samples and speaking to the couples. The samples we tried were absolutely delicious and really impressed not just me and my now-wife, but our parents too who had come along with us. We had been to numerous wedding fairs by this point so could compare the food from several venues, and none were nearly as memorable as those made by Host. Lucy came over to speak to us and explain how flexible their menu is. Nothing was too difficult, it seemed, and the team in fact quite liked a challenge. I remember her example whereby they went off-menu because the couple wanted South-East Asian cuisine for their wedding and Lucy said that her team were excited to create a menu of curries and samosas and the like. It seemed that Host couldn’t do enough for their couples, and we decided we were excited to work with them. As the big day (Feb 26) got closer, we exchanged more and more emails with Lucy about food requirements. We had several allergies and intolerances to work around, and that was in addition to having already mixed and matched the Bronze, Silver, and Gold menus as well as the canape options from the two separate lists, but Lucy was quick to reply to every query in detail and willing to advise on just about anything. Some of our final queries and variations came quite late due to guests’ changing schedules and medical/dietary needs, but Lucy was helpful as ever. Come the big day, the food was delicious as expected. The guests were extremely complimentary, not just on the day, but in chats with us days later, so the food was evidently very memorable. Noteworthy was the praise from an avoider of vegetables who couldn’t get enough of the vegetarian fritto misto canapes, as well as many compliments about the duck pancakes! Furthermore the praise extended not just to the food but to Lucy’s team too. Their helpfulness and professionalism cannot be overstated. It was a pleasure to work with Lucy and Host. They inspired confidence from day one and communicated with us and accounted for our needs promptly and with the utmost professionalism and clarity. We are so grateful for their help and their huge contribution in making our special day unforgettable.

We hired Craft & Cleaver for our wedding and they were fantastic. All of our guests have said that it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and we couldn’t agree more! The food was delicious and we were able to tailor the dishes around our dietary requirements which was something very important to us. The quality of the food was incredible and everyone came away full and raving about how tasty it all was! Adam was so helpful in the build up to the wedding and he and the team were great on the day. We highly recommend Craft & Cleaver and will be regular customers at the restaurant going forward.

Beautiful ice-cream, our choice of flavours (they even had coffee yeeeees!!!) which made the day! Even the colour of the ice-cream van matched our scheme!

We got brigadeiros from Emmy for our wedding reception. Our guests loved them and it was an amazing treat for the occasion. Also Emmy went far and beyond to accommodate our high expectations. Excellent service. We absolutely recommend !! Thank you Emmy

Every bite was bursting with authentic Italian flavour, and guests couldn’t stop coming back for more. The team were a dream to work with – friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about what they do. Fantastic pizza, very professional, affable young man. Accommodated our gluten free and vegan guests. Took away the rubbish.

We had the ice cream van Mimi at our wedding. We had it early evening while evening guests were arriving, it was a total hit with all our guests. The ice cream is really high quality and comes in really lovely flavours even some more unusual ones which we could choose from. Highly recommend!

Dear Greg and the Wonderland Team, I would like to say a huge thank you for your help in organising the menu for my Dad's birthday party last week. You were so responsive and understood the complicated dietary needs I was trying to accommodate from the start, and had a can do approach to the whole event, which I really appreciated. Many thanks also for help with all the details on the day - you were all superstars the venue looked amazing as did the food and the cake wow what a cake.
