The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm is an exclusive-use outdoor wedding venue set within a breathtaking private estate in the North Bedfordshire countryside. Created for couples who want the freedom to design a wedding that feels entirely their own, The Lakeside combines the flexibility of a marquee wedding with the hospitality, infrastructure and support of an established venue.
Surrounded by open meadows, tranquil water and the natural beauty of a 350-acre farm estate, The Lakeside offers a spectacular setting for relaxed, beautiful celebrations immersed in nature.
Facilities & Capacity
Set within a dedicated three-acre lakeside meadow on the edge of an expansive private lake, The Lakeside provides a beautiful blank canvas for your celebration. Whether you imagine an elegant sailcloth marquee, relaxed stretch tent or statement tipi, the space can be tailored to your vision with flexibility on both style and scale.
The venue welcomes celebrations from 70–200 guests and offers four-day exclusive hire, giving you time to build, style and enjoy your wedding without feeling rushed - transforming your celebration into a full experience rather than a single day.
While The Lakeside is not licensed for legal ceremonies, couples are welcome to host meaningful celebrant-led ceremonies overlooking the lake. The freedom to choose your own ceremony style allows each celebration to feel deeply personal and entirely unique.
Beyond the lakeside setting, the wider estate offers woodland, open countryside and endless opportunities for unforgettable photography.
Services Offered
While The Lakeside offers creative freedom, it is far from dry hire.
Every wedding is supported by an experienced in-house team who provide planning guidance throughout the journey and professional coordination on the day itself, allowing you to enjoy creating something personal without the stress of managing the details.
Food and drink are delivered by Wild Berry Farm’s multi-award-winning gastropub, The Sun Inn, recognised by The Good Food Guide and The Times amongst many others. Working alongside the venue’s Head Chef, couples can create bespoke menus and hospitality experiences designed around their celebration.
Luxury accommodation is available, including the beautifully appointed duplex bridal suite within the thatched inn - complete with a freestanding copper roll-top bath and separate sitting room, ideal for getting ready and retiring to at the end of the night. For those wishing to make a full wedding weekend of their celebration, the inn also offers the opportunity to host relaxed pre-wedding dinners, welcome drinks and post-wedding brunches, creating more time to gather and celebrate with family and friends.

Our Dream Wedding at The Lakeside at Wild Berry Farm
We were warmly greeted by Hannah from Fields and Festoons, whose genuine love and passion for the venue was absolutely infectious. She didn't need to do much selling because the venue just spoke for itself. The gorgeous combination of open fields, that beautiful lake, and the lovely marquees ticked every single box on our must have list. But honestly, what we loved most was finding people who cared about our wedding as much as we did. That meant absolutely everything to us.
Working with all the local vendors was like watching a little family come together. Everyone was so lovely and genuinely invested in making our day absolutely perfect. The love and care from everyone involved was overwhelming in the best possible way.
Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and so much more. We're still floating on cloud nine! The swans emerged from the lake to make their VIP guest appearance. The staff from The Sun Inn were absolutely phenomenal, so warm, friendly, and looked after everyone brilliantly. The whole atmosphere was filled with so much love and joy.
We cannot express enough gratitude to our photographer and wedding planner, who were truly the backbone of our entire celebration. Their incredible organisation, commitment, and ability to keep us calm and relaxed throughout the day will be appreciated for the rest of our lives. They brought our vision to life with such incredible attention to detail and genuine care. You could feel the love they put into everything.
Every single element was absolutely perfect. The venue, the team, the vendors, the setting, everything came together in the most magical way possible. Lakeside by Wild Berry Farm and the entire team created the most special, love filled day of our lives.

A day full of Love and the prefect venue.
The whole vibe of the day was peaceful, natural, and totally romantic, just what we wanted. We had our ceremony right in front of the lake and it was truly perfect. Later, we ate and danced with fairy lights strung up around the tipis with the night sky coming in and it was just beautiful.
The team there were amazing. Super friendly from the start to end, always on hand, and genuinely cared about making the day special for us. They gave us so much freedom to make the space our own, which made everything feel personal. A special thanks to Hannah would made the process so easy, fun and relaxing, no ask was too big. It truly topped off an amazing venue, to also have such good support throughout the whole two years we had booked.
Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the setting was — and how good the food was too!
If you’re looking for a venue that’s laid-back but stunning, with a team that listens and supports you, the lakeside at Wild berry Farm is it. We’ll be forever grateful for the memories we made there.

The most perfect backdrop to a perfect day!
From the initial site visits, flexibility with the offering, pre wedding meetings and on the day management Hannah and Rebecca were just fantastic in every way possible - definitely recommend to all couples out there!
Amazing venue and incredible team
From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive and patient, always taking the time to understand our ideas and vision and translate it into something beautiful.
Pete and the team at The Sun went above and beyond, working with our ideas to create the most amazing menu. Where possible Pete used seasonal, local ingredients including asparagus from the neighbouring field!! Pete also did a fantastic job behind the bar, whipping up the most delicious cocktails which our guests LOVED.
On the day itself, the coordination was flawless. Everyone worked together to make sure everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our special day. Hannah is an absolute boss and had everything sorted perfectly. We can’t thank you enough.
We were fortunate enough to stay in the suite at the Sun which was absolutely beautiful. If you can, book it - it’s incredible and (again) the team are just fantastic and couldn’t have done more for us.

The perfect lakeside venue
It's hard to put into words just how grateful we are for Hannah and the team and what you all did to make our wedding quite literally the best day of our lives. Hannah is everything and more; she is the wedding coordinator of dreams. Thank you for saying 'yes!' to pretty much everything we wanted. You really did go above and beyond to make the day look unique to us. Thank you for your endless patience every time we changed our minds about food, table plans and guest lists.
We will miss the weekend WhatsApp messages helping us choose wines and Mr and Mrs cocktail recipes and the evening planning meetings at the Sun (our new favourite pub and highly recommended wedding caterer - Pete at the Sun, you deserve a 5 star review of your own!). Ultimately, thank you for making planning our wedding a genuinely enjoyable experience, Hannah and everyone at the venue.

Even though the dancing’s done, we’re still raving about the Lakeside at Wildberry Farm
In terms of planning and coordinating the day, JJ and Laura are open to pretty much any idea you can put to them and wholly accommodative where they can be. The venue comes with a wedding coordinator, Hannah from Field and Festoons, who is absolutely brilliant in bringing your ideas out and building them into a wedding day even better than you could have imagined. We could not have done any of this without her and will forever be grateful for her creativity, patience and insight.
The Lakeside is also linked with the Sun Inn at Felmersham, who provide the catering services including all the food and bar supplies. We have got to know the people at the Sun really well and their food is simply outstanding. Our guests waxed lyrical for weeks after our wedding day about how good the food was, while the bar service was flawless. I also had the pleasure of staying at the Sun the night before our wedding with my groomsmen. Once again, we couldn’t have received better care by the attentive staff, while the accommodation itself is really high class and luxurious, with all amenities and furnishings of the highest standard.
Another preferred supplier is tent provider FM Tents - whose beautiful structures and furniture formed the centre piece for the aesthetic of our day. They were also largely un-phased when we told them we were looking to create a glamping village, in which around 50 of our guests stayed overnight (including us of course!)
We couldn’t have wished for a better wedding day or a better venue. The setting and scenery itself creates a stunning setting for an outdoor wedding, while it is all the people connected with the Lakeside at Wildberry Farm that really makes for a wonderful experience and one that we will never forget.

A wonderful day
Nothing was too much to ask for and the team couldn’t do enough to make the day perfect for us. They go above and beyond and make the whole experience really personal with special little touches. The whole day did exceed all expectations and everything came together perfectly! It really was the best day and would not have been possible without all of there hard work.
Ourselves and all of our guests had a wonderful time and we couldn’t praise the venue enough. We live locally and it will always be a special place to us.
