I was not looking forward to traipsing around the city to find a wedding dress but had resigned myself to the fact that I may have to to find 'the one'. Before heading off on the search I went to Lavender & Jude to have a look at what was available locally. Although I didn't have an appointment, I was welcomed in as soon as I walked through the door. I browsed through her extensive collection of beautiful gowns & after trying on a few that were gorgeous but not quite right, I asked Claire what style she thought may work for me. She stepped out for a moment & came back in with 'the one'. Claire knew exactly what would suit me, I felt amazing as soon as I put it on. We brought the dress there & then. I have also been back for my bridesmaid dresses. I was not looking forward to choosing a dress & colour for my maids. I was expecting it to be a long & arduous day but Claire had my maids sorted within a couple of hours! The shop itself is gorgeous; there are a range of styles of beautiful wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, veils, tiaras, hats & jewellery to look at. The changing area is really big, with a large mirror so you can see yourself & your bridesmaids next to you in it. Claire also takes pictures of you so you can look at yourself in those too. All the staff at Lavender & Jude are friendly, helpful & honest in their opinions, I can not recommend it enough. There is no need to make the trip into the city if you are lucky enough to have the wonderful Lavender & Jude is on your doorstep.
