I was petrified of going wedding dress shopping - as someone who hates looking at herself in the mirror the idea of having to do it for 2 hours in lots of dresses was beyond daunting! Anna and Devvon were fantastic, really put me at ease and were great at pulling dresses on the vague descriptions we gave her of what I do and don’t like! When we walked up to the shop we said we loved the dress in the window, and after trying on several others and listening to their recommendations that was the dress I said yes to! Thank you for a lovely afternoon, I didn’t feel self-conscious and actually had that moment where I felt beautiful in a dress, and can’t wait to come and collect it when it comes in! You guys were amazing and I’ll be recommending you to everyone I know

I was incredibly indecisive when it came to my wedding dress. I had so many different ideas, and I wasn’t quite sure what would work for me and what wouldn’t or even what I wanted. It felt quite overwhelming and almost impossible to figure out, until I met Allessandria. Working alongside her was a truly unique and beautiful experience. Her knowledge, creative mind, and attention to detail are unparalleled. She took the time to understand me, my vision (even when I didn’t fully know it myself). Thank you Allessandria, for making the dress of my dreams and for being such a beautiful part of my wedding journey.

Firstly, I want to say thank you so much for making my experience so welcoming and comfortable! I was initially very nervous as I'd never been into a bridal store before, so I had no idea what to expect. You were so warm and friendly, I was immediately at ease, and it was truly perfect. I felt guided throughout the whole experience, and I really enjoyed myself. I will never forget that day, it was so special to me, and I will cherish those memories you helped create for not only me, but my mum and sisters. Once again, I cannot thank you enough. I would highly recommend you to any bride looking to find their perfect dress who is especially nervous about the whole dress trying experience!!

I had the most amazing experience at Rookery Bridal! Gemma helped me choose a dress I never thought I’d pick, and she never made me feel rushed—she made the whole appointment so calm and enjoyable. When I said yes to my dress, Sarah made me feel like a million dollars, even sharing a tear with my mum! Picking up my dress was just as lovely—I wasn’t rushed and we had a great chat. They also noticed my veil wasn’t quite right and immediately arranged to have it corrected. The team’s care, attention to detail, and kindness made me feel so special from start to finish. I can’t recommend Rookery Bridal enough! 💕👰✨

I had the most incredible experience at Sassi Holford Somerset! Since the age of 7, I had walked past the shop in Taunton with my mum and dreamt of one day wearing one of their beautiful gowns on my wedding day, and my dream well and truly came true! Lucy was the stylist who helped me pick out my dress at my first appointment. Her knowledge is second to none, and I was made to feel so special and welcome. I also had a couple of appointments with Kristine, who is just as wonderful as Lucy is! Lucy and Kristine were also so helpful when it came to picking a veil to go with my dress - their expertise and advice was so welcome, because I had no idea where to start! I asked advice on all kinds of things from accessories to shoes to hairstyles to underwear, and each and every time I received the best advice. All of the dresses that I tried on were gorgeous. Sassi Holford really understands the female form, and designs gowns that flatter and accentuate your best features - I always felt like I was wearing the dress, the dress was never wearing me. All the materials are carefully selected, and of top quality. Once I had settled on a dress (Mia), I was so well looked after, and kept in the loop throughout the entire process. Emily, the seamstress who does the final tweaks and alterations once your gown has been made, is awesome - I really felt like I was in safe hands with her, and I had full confidence that she would ensure that my dress would fit like a glove on my wedding day, which it did! She even stitched a silver sixpence (that I provided) into my dress at my request, as well as an adorable blue satin bow. She is a miracle worker - I had to cancel my initial final fitting appointment due to contracting Covid, and by the time I was able to come in for the appointment, she only had a 48 hour window to work with, but she managed it! The aftercare and advice you are given when you go to collect your dress ready for the big day is also great! From an emergency kit to have on the day, to recommending a specialist dry cleaner, all bases are covered! And emails are always replied to quickly and in a very friendly manner. From start to finish, I cannot fault the service that these three ladies provided to me (as well as my mum, sister, nan and mother in law, who all accompanied me to appointments at various stages) - they are all superstars! And the dress was the stuff of dreams - it was like it had been designed with me specifically in mind! I felt like royalty on my wedding day, and had so many compliments from my family and friends. It was well made from the best quality materials, and the attention to detail (the lace, the buttons, the train, the underskirts) was incredible. I love how it was made locally in Taunton too. Meeting Sassi herself at my first appointment was the cherry on top of the cake. Thank you, Lucy, Kristie and Emily (and everyone behind the scenes), for making my wedding dress dreams come true. I will be forever grateful.

I was so worried about getting my wedding dress but the ladies at The bridal box made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. They listened to exactly what I wanted to try on and helped me find dresses. They were so complimentary and helpful. The dress needed quite a lot of adjustments and they made it fit perfectly! I cannot thank them or recommend them enough.

Lowen Bridal was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I listened to her! The whole experience was wonderful. Sam (the owner) made me feel so welcome. She took her time and was very patient with me (especially seeing as I had no idea what dress I wanted!). I must have tried on half the shop, and I eventually chose the very last dress I tried on! Sam was really friendly and kind and we bonded immediately. I very nearly cried when I picked my dress up and said goodbye to her at the end! Julie (the seamstress) was incredible. She is a very talented person and altered my dress to fit me beautifully. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for their perfect dress!

Cathy was so amazing! I came with my Mum to try on dresses twice. Cathy was all about me looking and feeling my best on my wedding day and was so helpful and kind. I am a bit bigger than i hoped to be dress shopping and felt overwhelmed and anxious and Cathy really put me at ease. I went to a few boutiques and 14&Sixpence had the most relaxed and bride focused atmosphere! My mum and I felt the experience was personalised and focused on me but without any pressure to find my dress there. Cathy was amazing and I walked away a very happy bride.

I couldn’t recommend Ellie enough, from the start Ellie made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout all my fittings and was always so welcoming to anyone I brought with me. I had lost a lot of confidence being a brand new mum and didn’t think anything would look nice on me, especially a wedding dress, so I’m so pleased I found Ellie Lowe. I needed my dress ready in 4 months due to ill health in the family and a lot of boutiques couldn’t help me which was very disheartening, after discovering Ellie Lowe she quickly reassured me that 4 months was plenty of time to make my brand new dress and started on it straight away. I had so many compliments on the day I felt so comfortable and beautiful I only wish I could wear it again. If you’re looking for something very special and bespoke I highly recommend Ellie.
