As an older bride I had quite a few reservations on what type of dress I would prefer, and initially was quite nervous on what to expect from my appointment , I needn’t of worried one bit ! From my very first visit Ali made it a wonderful experience, very welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, and really makes you feel at ease, with no pressure ! excellent choice of bridal dresses, accessories to suit all sizes, shapes & budgets.

Don't really no we're to start . I'm a plus size bride with zero confidence size 26 . Never worn a dress in my life. I want to say a massive thank you to Alison .going in and breaking down crying because my nerves got the better of me. because someone was gonna see my body without all my oversized clothes on and showing my body off is a big no for me .plus having a broken shoulder didn't help and my lovely mother who is no longer with me and should of been on this big day so everything got the better of me .But after my break down what a fantastic lady Alison is she's given me so much confidence In my self that's I've never felt. but by God she's like a fairy godmother went from feeling ashamed of my body to feeling like a beautiful bride. So please if you have the chance to meet this wonderful lady for a dress and to make you feel amazing in yourself and one of her dress then it's a must don't miss out .

I was very nervous of where to choose for my dress and then I came across blue and sixpence bridal and seen some of the most amazing I booked in and was nervous on arrival but I had no need to be Ali was the most loveliest calming professional and welcoming lady she made me feel at ease straight away she took the time out to go through different styles and looks with me and you can feel how much she loves to help you and see the smile on your face thank you so much Ali you as a person are just as amazing as the beautiful gowns shoes veils and other bits you sell I will definitely be recommending you to anyone who I know who’s getting married x

Absolutely amazing highly recommended felt nervous but made me feel at ease so helpful,understood what I was looking for and knew what suited me and what didn't I had my bridal moment which I didn't think exsited she also took her time and didn't try to sell me a dress over my budget im so in love carnt wait to wear my dress on our special day

I visited Blue & Sixpence Bridal with my sister who is getting married next year and our mum and I have to say the whole experience was incredible from the minute we walked through the door!

Ali is so friendly and her knowledge and experience of the industry and her professionalism shines through. She put my sister (and us) at ease immediately. Shopping for wedding dresses can often be a stressful or disappointing experience, but Ali's service and process has changed the game. She makes you feel incredibly special, suggests gowns that you may not have considered before and has lots of helpful tips on finding the perfect dress.

My sister said YES to the dress and we all came away on cloud nine and that is purely down to the experience Ali provided. We cannot thank her enough!

She asked me and my guests to all pick a dress we like and then I seen another I liked and then when I'd tried on most of them and graded them Ali came back with a dress she had chosen for me.. once I'd made my decision Ali then showed me some veils and accessories which she hand makes and we're all beautiful which made my decision harder... I then said YES to my dress. Her prices are so reasonable and she also gives you some tips for seamstress. Ali never once forced anything on me and was honest if she thought it didn't suit she said no not the dress for and she was right and my girls with me agreed.
I would highly recommend Blue & Sixpence to anyone u would not regret going here. I had no idea what I wanted and definitely realised by the end of the appointment I had no idea what I needed.
The whole experience was amazing. We went in with an open mind just looking to 'have a look' I quickly realised that what I thought would suit me really did not. Staff were amazing. They didn't have to ask what size I was they just took me straight to the rails that would fit me. Let me pick out a couple of dresses I thought I wanted and then slipped in one they thought I would like.... well after absolutely hating the way the ones I thought I wanted looked on me (they just did not suit my body type and I didn't feel great) I tried on one that she picked out for me.... well that dress is now in my spare room. No alterations needed except a tiny bit on the sleeve. It is as if it was actually made for me. She even turned around before I had chance to show my cousin who came with me one of the dresses and was like 'emm... maybe not that one' something that we completely agreed with. You can tell how much knowledge she had and I didn't feel pressured at all to buy the dress but I knew I wanted it.... plus it was only £99. We made it quite clear that we weren't actually bothered by the price. We went in with an unlimited budget and she didn't attempt to upsell us one of the dresses that I had picked out that were over £1000 when she could have easily tried to. I actually felt as if she wanted me to look the best I could and feel as beautiful as I could. I would 100% recommend everyone goes here.

Had a lovely experience with Ali this morning and said yes to the first dress I tried on! I still tried on other dresses but the first won hands down! Ali made me feel comfortable and gave me the bride special treatment! The dresses are beautiful and very reasonable prices. Thanks again Ali I can’t wait to put my gown on again

Blue & Sixpence have made things easy and put me at ease. Communication was great from before the appointment and during. They made me feel comfortable and special from the get go. They showed their expertises and shared their professional suggestions. If you are thinking about coming, you should.

The owner of this store was incredibly rude.
Told me I was too early to try gowns on and that I can’t buy a gown until I have my venue, the girls can’t buy their dresses till I have mine and the groom can’t by his suit. Felt really uncomfortable within the first 5 minutes and felt like she had no time for me and my mum whatsoever. I was trying on dresses for the first time and while my mum was visiting. Then proceeded to allow me to try on 4 dresses seeing as I was there. Told me I didn’t suit a dress with sleeves because I’ve got tattoos down my arm and I look lob-sided!!
Had there been a problem I should’ve been told when I booked the appt, Would not go here again, the room is rammed with dresses and it’s incredibly overwhelming. We were not made to feel welcomed or special at all.
The next bridal shop I went to reassured me it was perfectly fine to research and try on dresses whenever I wanted to.

I said yes to the dress on Saturday at Blue & Sixpence! I couldn't recommend this place enough to any bride. The whole experience from the very start was absolutely amazing, Ali was so knowledgeable in everything bridal. She involved my bridesmaid and my mum in absolutely every part of the experience and made me feel so comfortable when trying on the AMAZING choice of dresses.
It was my first time trying on wedding dresses so I didn't expect to be walking home with the perfect dress, but the prices and the quality in this bridal studio are just amazing.
Ali made everything so easy. 10/10 recommend to everyone looking for their perfect dress. Thankyou again!!

I was worried being a curvier bride, but my mind was immediately put at ease with the selection. Ali picked out the perfect dress for me, and I left on the day with it.

As a plus size bride the idea of going wedding dress shopping filled me with dread rather than getting excited!
Blue & sixpence was recommended to me on a Facebook and figured I had nothing to lose. I never expected to buy a dress my first time trying dresses on but the selection was fabulous and Ali was great! I felt so comfortable and had a true bridal experience!
