Prior to my appointment I was quite deflated from having a bad experience at another shop, but WOW did my experience at Lily Jacobs really change that. It was the most personable and uplifting appointment that I could have asked for. The staff were so attentive and really took care in the service that is provided from the moment I walked in. I was given time to browse through the dresses but really appreciated the knowledge given to me and loved that I was able to try on so many different dresses in all different styles. I did not feel pressure to ‘find the one’ (even though I did) or that I was being rushed at all and just felt like they truly wanted me to enjoy the experience. All the touches after I found my dress were so extra special and I truly cannot recommend this boutique enough! Thank you so much for making this experience so wonderful for me and I can’t wait to pick up my dress😁

Lily Jacobs was a beautiful bridal shop - they offer a private appointment with your name written on a welcome sign as you enter. Tanya and Emma were so friendly and spent time making me feel comfortable and helping me find a dress that I loved. They even squeezed me back in when I called later in the day wanting to go back and try on the dress again that I had decided to buy. A lovely welcoming place to purchase your wedding dress.

They were honest and upfront about price ranges which I was apprehensive about at first, as I didn’t want to love something I couldn’t afford. They put me at ease and the prices were competitive with other dress shops I looked at after- but the experience that came with them was second to none.

I loved that we had the whole place to ourselves with no distractions, and how beautifully decorated it was. Such a huge choice of dresses hung beautifully as you walk in, and Tanya and Emma were so welcoming to me and my guests.
I hadn’t been anywhere else, and I loved that they didn’t make me look through all the dresses immediately as I wouldn’t have known where to start. They chatted to me and my guests about what I liked to wear and then started choosing dresses for me. They listened to my comments about the dresses and then chose another for me- a completely personalised experience! They also found my perfect dress for me, and it wasn’t one I would have selected for myself so I’m very glad they did!

Once I’d chosen the dress they updated me regularly and called me back in as needed for fittings. Abi the seamstress was so lovely and wrestled all the layers expertly.

I would recommend anyone getting married to visit. As well as beautiful dresses, the experiences there are to be treasured! Thank you!

From the minute I walked into Lily Jacob's, I felt welcome with their friendly, kind manner. Tanya and Emma were so great at helping me pick the dress for me by having patience to get to know what I liked and letting me try on many dresses, I was so unsure what I wanted. Then when it came to altering my dress Abi was so professional and lovely. I would highly recommend their services as they put the bride and her guests first and are always willing to go out of their way to give the best service possible.

The staff were friendly and definitely created a fun experience trying on dresses! I feel like you get the full, fun dress try on experience and I will never forget it.

I lost quite a lot of weight before my wedding (a lot due to stress from my venue) so I probably should have held off on ordering my dress for a bit. The shop advised me to order quite early and I'm really glad I did as when my dress arrived there were a few mistakes where it hadn't been made to my specification. When I picked up the dress I let them know but I was told that the dress was correct and I was remembering it wrong. After going home and checking the photos of me trying it on I spoke to another member of staff who apologised and said they'd send it off to be fixed. Unfortunately I live in Tunbridge Wells so there was lots of driving back and forth and taking time off work which wasn't ideal but I was just pleased they could fix it!

When it arrived the second time it was correct and I decided to use the recommended seamstress who was lovely and helpful. Unfortunately the dress was 3 sizes to big for me so she could only do so much without damaging the structure of the dress. I felt a bit like I was wearing a tent on my wedding day and didn't necessarily feel my best but that was absolutely not the shops fault and I look great in the photos!

Everyone told me that the dress was so me and it definitely suited the venue. I was so grateful to Lily Jacobs for helping me find my dress and the experience I had there was unforgettable. In hindsight I would have done things differently but I was never pressured by the ladies at Lily Jacobs, they were very supportive. It's more the general pressure of weddings and dress shopping is very tough so to any future brides feeling that, this shop might be for you. They're really aware that you're making a big decision and will be mindful of your feelings!

Biggest tip! Get the bustle! Even if you aren't planning to use it!

Being a curvier body shape, I was nervous about what my experience would be like, especially as I had heard bad stories about other places. As soon as we arrived however, Tanya was friendly, down to earth and put me at ease. She worked with me on styles and budget. The whole experience has been so positive and I was over the moon to find my gorgeous dress. It needed a lot of alterations which is where the fabulous Abi came to the rescue! Calm, empathetic, patient and so talented - she made it into the perfect fit for me. Can't recommend Lily Jacobs enough, thank you so much xx
