The perfect day, Bobbie, Bethan and all the team went above and beyond to make our day so perfect! Every time I got a little bit stressed planning along the way Bobbie and the team took over everything and made it so relaxing Our wedding day was absoloutly faultless and that was entirely down to the team at Slaley Hall. We wanted a small wedding but not merely in a registry office. We were told about Langley Castle by a fellow hiker who had got married there the previous year, he showed us some pictures and when we got home we looked into it.... It's a stunning venue. The cost on a weekday isn't that much more than a registry office plus dinner afterwards, in the grand scheme of it, but you get soooo much more! Our wedding co-ordinator, James, was brilliant from start to end, last minute changes were not a problem. The package included 2 nights staying in the castle itself and evening meal and breakfast each morning. The food is fantastic!! The service brilliant. Oh, and the registrars, such lovely ladies, made it so easy - my husband is badly dyslexic and we had an awful experience with the registrar in Salford when we went to give our notice of marriage, these ladies were the polar opposite! Would we recommend - ABSOLUTELY!! We still think we're dreaming!!

Most amazing day ever. The Castle really is a real Showstopper, all of our guests were in awe of the surroundings, with Naomi going above and beyond to make our day the best it could possibly be. We had perfect weather, many said it was down to pure luck, but we are sure it was down to the ancient tradition of 'burying a sausage' (google it) on the night before the ceremony, which we did at the Lord Crewe. All of the staff and indeed the local people of Bamburgh, were very friendly and very helpful, Bamburg has become our favourite place in the UK. The Kings Hall is Grand with a capital 'G' and is sensational, we had a Harpist and the acoustics were excellent. At the end of the service we carried out another ancient tradition, the Pagan act of Handfast, which we saw on the Last Kingdom (major inspiration for our choice). We then crossed the courtyard to the Castle Keep, my favourite part of the castle, for a celebratory drink and photoshoot. We had our meal booked at the Potted Lobster and thanks to the great weather, we were able to walk from the castle, through the town to the Lobster. What a great day, Bamburgh Castle will always be in our hearts and we, of course, are now part of the castle's history. We would unreservedly recommend the Castle for your wedding and intend to renew/bless our vows there in the future, a great place.

What can we say... Newton Hall were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We don't live in Northumberland, we actually live 4 hours away in the Midlands, despite this, the team at Newton Hall managed to perfect our wedding day. Nothing was too much for them and they were so helpful ensuring everything ran seamlessly on the day. The staff were fantastic, particularly our Master of Ceremonies, Ian and our Wedding Manager Lucy. Their knowledge, confidence and reassurance meant we felt absolutely at ease throughout the day, we didn't have to worry or fuss about anything. I must also mention the amazing Mariana who was the mostly friendly and warming lady, she went out of her way at both our pre-wedding visit and on our big day to add a personal touch to our wedding day and she made us feel so special. From last minute table changes to cake in our bedroom, Newton Hall accommodated every request without question and we would absolutely recommend the beautiful venue to any bride and groom looking for a stunning, quirky venue who offer tailored and bespoke services. The venue itself is amazing, every photograph has an incredible backdrop, it is truly unique. The food was fantastic and fresh and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. Despite only having 30 guests, the venue never felt empty, with a fantastic choice of rooms and a clever set up our small wedding felt intimate and cosy. We had our evening reception in the Enchanted Chapel which was the perfect size for a dance floor, space for our performer and a cosy comfy seating area. It was the most romantic evening, filled with love and laughter. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff who helped us create our incredible day, we will definitely cherish the memories for many years to come and we can't wait to come back and visit such a beautiful part of the country at the first chance we get! We got married at Charlton Hall and it was perfect. Roma, Matt and the team went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly, and we could not have been happier with our experience. We had so many comments from our guests about how quirky the venue & accommodation was, and about the amazing food that was served. The whole day was so relaxed, and nothing was too much trouble. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married somewhere a little less traditional. We can’t wait to come back & visit! Emily & Ross

We’re now back from our honeymoon and we just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for everything you did to make our wedding day so special. The entire team was incredible from start to finish and we especially appreciate the flexibility you showed in accommodating my wish to have the ceremony outside, it meant the world to me! Northside Farm was such an excellent wedding venue for us. The planning process was seamless with frequent meetings and lots of questions responded to quickly via email by Samantha. The day itself went extremely smoothly and all of the staff were brilliant! Would highly recommend the venue to anyone looking for a relaxed, stress-free wedding venue with great accommodation on site!

What a fantastic day we had at my sons wedding 11th May. They had an outdoor ceremony as the sun was out and it was a beautiful day. The hotel arranged the chairs in front of the gazebo, it looked amazing. Following this the drinks reception was held with staff bringing out the canapes with a smile . The Wedding Reception room looked fantastic, it was the largest of the event rooms and is very grand and majestic, dressed up it looked wonderful. The food went down well and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Staff looked after us all into the evening where we danced the night away. Guests commented on how beautiful the hotel and its surroundings were and that they would like to return. The rooms were lovely and no complaints. The few children there were able to enjoy the spa pool for a short while and the maze . The wedding day dresser was Gemma Connell who did an amazing job. Photographer was Stephen Beecroft who was very professional and helped the lads with their pocket dressing! Staff were very helpful and one member of staff even brought a forgotten guest outfit on his way in to work after a meet up in a local carpark to be given it!

Although the day itself was incredible, so was the 12 month build up! It sounds cliche but as soon as we set foot in Healey Barn we knew it was for us. The staff and co-ordinators are fantastic, responsive, professional, but also relaxed. We attended a few times prior to the wedding day - always made to feel welcome and heard. Our person of contact predominantly was Jack R - an absolute credit to the venue and to Cripps & Co. The day exceeded expectations by far and our guests have given us such incredible feedback about the venue and the way it was ran. We would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who is thinking about this venue. Thank you all so much. Nathan & Holly. x
