Its Amazing Beaches

With miles of white sandy beaches, Bamburgh makes a gorgeous backdrop for exchanging vows. Your guests will be able to relax among the dunes or take a boat out to the rugged Farne Islands, home to puffins, dolphins, and seals.

Its Historic Castles

Bamburgh has the most castles of any other county in England. The most famous of these, Bamburgh Castle, was built in the Middle Ages and dominates the Northumberland coastline. You can admire its towering turrets and vast fortresses as you stroll along the beach. You can also visit magnificent Alnwick Castle, which has been home to the Percy family for over 700 years. Both Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter films were partly filmed there. If you're brave, you could even explore Chillingham Castle, which features creepy dungeons and a real torture chamber.

As well as beaches and castles, Bamburgh has plenty more to entertain your guests. History fans will enjoy the Grace Darling Museum and the Church of Saint Aidan.
