Its Amazing Beaches

With miles of white sandy beaches, Bamburgh makes a gorgeous backdrop for exchanging vows. Your guests will be able to relax among the dunes or take a boat out to the rugged Farne Islands, home to puffins, dolphins, and seals.

Its Historic Castles

Bamburgh has the most castles of any other county in England. The most famous of these, Bamburgh Castle, was built in the Middle Ages and dominates the Northumberland coastline. You can admire its towering turrets and vast fortresses as you stroll along the beach. You can also visit magnificent Alnwick Castle, which has been home to the Percy family for over 700 years. As well as beaches and castles, Bamburgh has plenty more to entertain your guests. History fans will enjoy the Grace Darling Museum and the Church of Saint Aidan. We got married at Bamburgh Castle three weeks ago, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment you arrive, the castle takes your breath away – the setting overlooking the coastline is simply spectacular and makes for the most unforgettable backdrop. We chose to have a small, intimate ceremony with just six guests, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere felt incredibly special and personal, yet still grand and memorable in every way. The historic charm of the castle, combined with its stunning interiors and views, created a truly fairytale setting that we will cherish forever. A huge thank you to Naomi, the wedding manager, who was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. As we live in Leicestershire, planning could have been challenging, but Naomi made everything feel effortless. She was so warm, responsive, and knowledgeable, and her recommendations were spot on. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her attention to detail really made the day run seamlessly. What also stood out to us was the incredible value for money. For such an iconic and breathtaking venue, the experience exceeded all expectations. Every element felt thoughtfully curated and of the highest quality. Our guests were completely blown away, and we’re still receiving compliments weeks later. If you’re considering getting married at Bamburgh Castle, we honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly. It gave us the most perfect day in the most extraordinary setting – truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
