Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club rests within 450 acres of park and woodland in the heart of Northumberland. Just 24 miles from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Linden Hall is a natural oasis of calm away from the bustling city. You will be captivated before reaching the end of the quarter mile, tree-lined driveway where this Georgian Grade II mansion house awaits you.
The manicured lawns provide the perfect setting for an outdoors ceremony or a garden drinks reception. Bursts of colour from seasonal blooms provide the perfect backdrop all year round.
The interiors radiate charm and sophistication with luxurious furnishings, period features and roaring logs fires in the winter. With grand stone masonry, a sweeping staircase and dome skylight, your photographer will be spoilt for choice.
Complete with an 18-hole golf course, spa and several on-site dining options, Linden Hall offers a fully immersive retreat for your wedding stay.
We have several function suites for you to choose from and our coordinators will guide you, led by your vision for the perfect day.
Intimate ceremonies can take place in the manor’s conservatory with a panoramic view of the manicured grounds.
Ceremonies for up to 120 guests are best arranged in the striking Adamson Suite where wooden beams are adorned with romantic fairy lights.
Smaller parties may use the highly recommended Drawing Room where dual aspect windows overlook the pretty manicured garden and a glittering chandelier sits proudly overhead. A grand piano in this room is available for you to use and the marble fireplace is ideal for inside group photographs.
The largest room, accommodating up to 200 people is the Bigge Suite, typically used for Wedding Breakfasts and Evening Receptions. This former coach house is popular for its grand appearance and complete with double doors that open the room up to greenery and fresh air. Cloud like ceiling drapes provide a romantic ambiance and a large private bar offers additional space to make your own.
The manor house boasts 50 guest rooms that feature comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, and modern amenities. Wedding parties will be granted an allocation of discounted bedrooms however you are not required to take up bedrooms when booking your Linden Hall wedding.
Each room is elegantly decorated and furnished. Guests also have the option of upgrading to an Executive or Feature Room, which offers more space and stunning views.
