Our ‘covid restricted’ perfect wedding day!

Our perfect day!
The staff at Le Petite Chateau (LPC) were accommodating at every stage!
Having postponed from April to September 2020, we were very nervous as the September date was looming.
The staff at LPC were amazing, keeping us updated every step of the way even with rules and guidelines changing daily (if not hourly!).
We can not be more grateful to the venue and suppliers for making our day just as we imagined if not better!
Our day ran seamlessly, we had drinks, meals, speeches, cut the cake and a first dance; yes it may have all been at a safe social distance but we were surrounded with our closest friends and family. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

To any brides/ grooms/ couples that are wondering whether to postpone or go ahead, I promise you a “covid” wedding is not as scary as you would imagine, even with guests in masks! My advice would be to have honest discussions with your venue/ wedding co ordinator to ask how they will run the day, we were guided through how the day would look, and on paper it looked ‘normal’ even in the middle of a global pandemic! I’m so glad we chose to go ahead with our day.

Overall under par experience

Whilst I appreciate no one has planned weddings through a pandemic before, there was a severe lack of communication. The model of having the wedding coordinator based in Newcastle and having to tell the staff at the venue what's happening doesn't work. Lost was missed on the day and things agreed to didn't happen. We had a great day of course, but lost and confused room bookings, timings of serving food wrong and playlists not played in the right order are some of the little things that went wrong.

Holly we just wanted to say once again thank you so much for being an amazing wedding coordinator. You were a massive help to us and we know our big day wouldn’t have ran as smoothly without you. We’re so grateful for everything!

Huge thanks to the staff, they made us feel like the most important people in the world over the 3 nights we were there and it felt like everyone genuinely cared so much for us.

The venue is unreal

We had an absolutely fabulous day on Saturday. It was even better than I imagined it would be. Thank you so much for everything. The venue is unreal! I am really sad it’s all over, I want to do the whole day again!

The most perfect day

Tom and I just wanted to email to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at Le Petit Chateau for their AMAZING work at our wedding on Friday. The service, food, friendliness and organisation from everyone was fantastic. All of our guests commented on the venue and Tom and I had the most fantastic day and that was largely due to the LPC team. All the little details including pulling us to one side so we could eat some canapés, getting us a cocktail before we entered the wedding reception – all contributed to us having the most perfect day.

Well what can I say other than AMAZING! From the moment we booked the gorgeous chateau to leaving on saturday morning every member of staff we ever dealt with were amazing! We had the best day ever! From the initial booking, all the way through to finalising details and answering a raft of silly questions along the way, you have all been so friendly, attentive, kept me calm and as a result I can confidently say that the entire wedding planning process has been so enjoyable – so much so that I wish I could do it all over again!

What sets you apart is that no matter what time or day, each one of you has given up the time to make me feel an absolute priority, even when I know you have hundreds of crazy brides to cater to.

We didnt have to worry about a thing

James and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did in the lead up to our wedding day. The countless emails and all of the organisation is really appreciated and it really did mean that our day was just perfect form start to finish! We didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day and we couldn’t fault the staff at the Chateau – they were brilliant!

Excellent wedding - with one major issue!

I'll start with the problem as it may save you needing to read on.
There was a bat in our bridal suite, and the staff could not get rid of it. from 1am to 2:30 am they tried but could not remove. They had nowhere to move us and so we were left with no choice but to go to sleep with a bat in occasionally swooping around the room.
Compensation was the cost of the room £270 and our bar tab £60. We weren’t happy with this. Most of our guests said they would have run out screaming – so am not sure what they would have done if we did that.
So if you don’t like animals in your room at night look for another venue.
If you don’t mind the bat then this venue is amazing. The staff went out of the way to make it personal to us, despite providing 6 or 7 weddings a week we really felt as if we were the only wedding that week as they were so good at making everything right for us.
Food was delicious, the venue lovely and the organisation from our wedding coordinator through to wedding manager and the bar staff was great.

You are all outstanding

We attended Tom and Jodie's wedding on 16th June with our son, Logan, who has multiple complex dietary issues and allergies. We had an amazing time, Logan was reaction free and we can honestly say that Le Petit Chateau is the ONLY place that has made us feel so reassured and relaxed about Logan's food. Every member of staff were not only aware of the situation, but knew Logan by name. He was fully involved in the day and for once was served his own meals - not from my snack box!
It may seem small, but we could never express our gratitude for how Logan was catered and accommodated for. You allowed us to properly enjoy my brother's wedding without the usual anxiety that comes with attending events. You are all outstanding and we would not hesitate to return.
