Officially the largest in the world, The Treehouse is a charming, landmark wedding venue located conveniently just off the A1 in Alnwick, Northumberland. Built amongst the trees on the outskirts of a scenic woodland area sits this contemporary, rustic, and award-winning wedding venue. Couples are welcome to get in touch to learn more about this one-of-a-kind destination.
Having recently won 'Most Romantic Wedding Venue North of England' and 'Town and City Wedding Venue of the Year', whether you intend to host a relaxed or a formal occasion, the venue offers a completely unique and quirky environment and a team dedicated to your vision. The staff members are experts at ensuring your day runs smoothly and that every moment feels special.
Facilities and Capacity
The Treehouse offers exclusive hire of three beautifully unique, intimate spaces. Wedding couples also have exclusivity of the large expanse of decking under the canopy of trees, together with two wobbly rope bridges transiting through the surrounding trees. The quirky, rustic interior of twisting branches, fairy lights, and a roaring log fire sets the Treehouse apart from other wedding venues within the North East of England and further afield. With the option of having your ceremony in the Treehouse itself, or in warmer months, on the sun-soaked decking surrounded by the woodland, you can enjoy all that nature has to offer. Up to 85 guests can be a part of your big day, including your furry friends.
Please note maximum ceremony capacity for the Treehouse is 65.
Up to 120 guests can join for evening celebrations.

The Treehouse offers all-inclusive packages for intimate weddings and bespoke packages for larger wedding parties.
The team on site will do their utmost to ensure that your day is exactly as you wish. Couples and their guests can enjoy a 3-course meal selected from our extensive wedding menu, which includes vegan and gluten-free options.
With a team of award-winning Wedding Coordinators and a dedicated Bar and Catering team, nothing is too much trouble.

Unforgettable Treehouse Wedding
On the day, Daisy and the team were incredibly helpful. I got there early expecting to do a lot of the setup myself, but it was pretty much all done when I arrived, which was a huge help. Staff were all very friendly and attentive. They also did a great job of moving people to the right places at the right times and generally facilitating the day so that everything went smoothly.
The food was incredible. We received so many compliments on how great the wedding breakfast meal was, particularly the beef, so we’re very happy with our choices. Please pass our compliments on to the kitchen staff. The venue itself of course looks amazing and was just such an impressive place for us and our guests.
For any small, unexpected issues along the way, we worked together to quickly get things sorted and keep things seamless for our guests. If I ever needed anything, I was always able to find someone and they helped me immediately.
It was a fantastic day supported by fantastic people. Special shout-out to Daisy for jumping into action and helping us find a missing wedding ring after our owl ring-bearer accidentally dropped it 20 feet below the decking into a pile of leaves! She absolutely saved the day. Daisy was also really fun and just great to work with – she totally understood the tone/vibe of our wedding and really helped us deliver the wedding we always wanted. We can’t thank everyone enough for all of their help - we had the best day and will be back to celebrate many more anniversaries!
Our Perfect Wedding!
Our ceremony took place outdoors in The Arbour, surrounded by stunning natural beauty—it felt like something out of a fairytale. Saying our vows surrounded by flowers, trees, and the sounds of nature made the moment incredibly special and unforgettable. Even though the gardens were open to the public, The Arbour felt private and intimate for our ceremony.
The Treehouse was the perfect setting for our reception. It’s such a unique and enchanting space, and our guests were blown away by the atmosphere. The food and drink were absolutely amazing—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served seamlessly. It was amazing how the venue transformed into the perfect place to dance and celebrate with our live band in the evening.
A huge shout-out to Daisy, our wedding co-ordinator from Alnwick. She was fantastic throughout the entire process—so organised, responsive, and genuinely lovely to work with. Her calm and professional approach made planning so much easier, and on the day she ensured everything ran smoothly without a hitch.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. Alnwick Gardens and the Treehouse gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. Highly, highly recommend this incredible venue!
Our stunning Autumn wedding
fantastic – especially with regards to the storm, which was obviously on our minds. I can’t speak highly enough of the experience that we, and our guests, had on our wedding day. The team really understood the vision for our Autumn wedding and worked with our other
suppliers to create this. On arrival, the venue looked magical and you could tell the staff had put so much work into the decoration, including all the personal touches we asked them to
include. Due to the storm, the staff had to be flexible and move around several elements of the ceremony and set-up, but communication was excellent and we were updated regularly about any changes. The day ran smoothly and there was great communication from start to finish, alongside a team of staff who were helpful, friendly and professional; even going out of their
way to help us set up our wedding cake and being super patient with some of our elderly guests. Food and drink were excellent and proved to be very good value for money, providing
substantial portions and good quality ingredients. The planning team were in contact regularly and had a good deal of knowledge about what works at this particular venue, making adaptations and additions to support our vision. They worked well with all our other suppliers, who have all been complimentary about the team at The Treehouse. For a small-ish wedding of 40-60 people, the Treehouse is an ideal venue and I would absolutely recommend. It is beautiful, both inside and out, and needs very little decoration in order to be a completely magical place, however the team worked closely with us to decorate and add personal touches
to make the day truly special.
