Our Perfect Day ! We attended a wedding Fayre and my mam and I were shown around the venue by Events Co ordinator Laura. She immediately helped us visualise how our dream could be achieved. Her experience in her role was evident and this helped as she gave us suggestions on how we could maximise our celebrations. There were so many options we could choose from of where to hold our ceremony and the venue enabled us to share the whole weekend with family and friends as there was golf and other outdoor activities available as well as the spa. I was so impressed with Laura and the beautiful venue that it was an easy decision to set a date for our wedding. We paid a deposit then Laura was always available to answer even the simplest of questions for myself or my mam. Nothing was too much trouble for her. We met at various stages leading up to our big day and I always felt confident that Laura would resolve any issues we came across . We provided the majority of our own decor but the venue also supplied items, such as the sweets cart and easels, as well as our Ladywell package. Laura was unable to attend the day of our wedding as it was on her non working day, so we were invited to Slaley for a handover meeting with Bethan and Laura to ensure all of our planning was cross checked and we felt confident that Bethan understood our wishes. We always hoped to have our ceremony outside on the lawn and it was perfect. The beautiful building behind and we were surrounded by the countryside. As the bride, one of my favourite moments of the day way was sitting in the bay window of the bridal suite getting my make up done and watching the ceremony being set up on the lawn and our guests arriving. Bethan was very professional on the day and kept everything running on time. The food was amazing, every plate was left clean, guests have all said how delicious the beef was. Our guests have not stopped talking about our wedding and the memories created at Slaley Hall . They’ve said it was the best wedding they’ve been to! Thank you for giving us our perfect day !

We recently got married at Hallington and we are so, so happy that we chose to get married here. We held our ceremony in the woodland and it felt so magical. So many of our guests commented on how special the setting was, with several folk saying it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and that if they'd known about Hallington they would have got married here too! We really wanted a venue that felt really special, while being relaxed, welcoming for everyone and giving us the flexibility to personalise the day exactly as we wanted. Hallington gave us exactly that. The ability to stay at the venue in the beautiful threshing barn and mill with our family and friends meant we felt like we really got some quality time with our nearest and dearest and everyone was blown away by how gorgeous both properties are. Elizabeth was really helpful with pointing is the direction of wonderful suppliers and her high level budget breakdown of a wedding at Hallington helped us understand whether it was within our budget. We loved every minute of our day and we just can't recommend Hallington enough.

We chose to come and see Langley because it already had a lot of special memories for the family- my parents got married there some 28 (?) years ago and the venue did not disappoint. Langley Castle is a stunning venue for any kind of event but especially for a wedding. Comfortable rooms with gorgeous window alcoves to get ready in, a magical outdoor area for the ceremony and immaculate grounds rooted in some very impressive history. More important than the venues staggering beauty, the staff were amazing- always going above and beyond and doing whatever they could to make our day tremendous. There was not one member of staff who didn't contribute to our enjoyment of the day but a special mention does deserve to go to James who helped with every aspect of planing and really made me feel like everything was perfectly under control through the entire process. With axe throwing and archery, signature cocktails, birds of prey shows and a lot of personal touches (including making our own cake and using a lot of their fridge storage space), there wasn't a lot we didn't throw at the staff of Langley Castle. They handled every request smoothly, professionally and with a lot more patience than I would have had for me. It was really a pleasure to spend our day here and we can't wait to keep coming back to visit and relive the memories whenever we can.
