Our new venue, The Garden Room brings a touch of luxury in a tropical-plant filled space inspired by Victorian Winter Gardens. Our wedding venue

Louise and her team at the biscuit factory, garden room couldn’t be any better. They made sure everything was perfect for our dream day in a dreamy venue. The room speaks for itself, with every photo having the most gorgeous backdrop. The food was to die for and everything flowed just like we wanted. This place is a hidden gem but the people running it make it something truly special ❤️ thank you for everything

A dream wedding

We recently had our wedding at The Biscuit Factory, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The venue and staff truly exceeded our expectations and made our day absolutely perfect!

Huge thanks to Jonny, Dave and the fantastic team that hosted us on the day. They went above and beyond, from saving my brother-in-law’s meal while he looked after my baby nephew to wrapping up our decorations and cake with great care (particularly difficult as our flowers were made of LEGO!). Their friendly and professional attitude was noticed by many of our guests, who were full of compliments.

The ceremony space in the gallery is absolutely beautiful and our guests loved enjoying prosecco and looking at the art during the drinks reception. The Artisan room felt like the perfect size for our party of around 50 guests and looks brilliant in our photos.

The food was another highlight. They created a fully vegan 3-course menu (with choice of dishes for each course) for us which was absolutely delicious and excellent quality. Most of our guests aren’t vegan and they were blown away by the food, it was wonderful to be able to show how great vegan food can be.

Overall, The Biscuit Factory made our dream wedding a reality. We’re so grateful for all the advice and support during the planning process too. If you’re looking for a venue with a dedicated and caring team, we highly recommend them!

Amazing leap day

We can not thank The Biscuit Factory enough. They were faultless. We booked almost 2 years in advance and the whole events team were brilliant from the get go. Being able to completely design our own menu was brilliant as I have complex food allergies and we wanted to include dishes from Denmark. The chef was incredible to pull all our ideas together and make it work without compromising taste or tradition. Faye was patient and understanding when we were having wedding stress moments and she was so supportive on the day.
All our guests were blown away with the room and how well the day flowed. We would definitely recommend the Biscuit factory to anyone looking to get married in the North East.

What a day!

We can't recommend The Biscuit Factory highly enough. We were looking for somewhere we could have a relaxed and intimate wedding and felt it fit the bill as soon as we looked around. The gallery space is a beautiful place to hold a ceremony - it felt really stylish and elegant and was a lovely backdrop for fizz and photos after the ceremony, Artisan provided us with fantastic food which loads of guests commented on and an intimate and beautiful space for our reception for 54. At night it provided an ideal party venue with a perfectly sized dance floor, great bar, comfy seats for older guests and a candlelit outdoor space that was a joy on the warm summer night we got married. Faye was a fantastic wedding co-ordinator; we completely trusted her to get everything right, nothing was a hassle and she and Michael provided a really calm presence and helped run our day flawlessly. Getting married here honestly did surpass all our expectations and gave us what we agreed was the best day of our lives!

A perfect stress free experience

We booked the biscuit factory a few years before our wedding as it seemed to be the perfect venue for our location, vibe and budget. We wanted a relaxed, simple ceremony and a fun party and that is exactly what we got. Faye had a fantastic, professional and calming presence and we felt 100% confident in her ability to run our special day. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at the venue and they did everything we could of wanted and more. Could not recommend enough. Thank you for being part of the best day of our lives.

Unforgettable.

The Biscuit Factory was definitely the right place for us to get married. We had our ceremony in the gallery - a must if you choose to get married here. We adored the industrial setting surrounded by contemporary art work. Afterwards, the Biscuit Room was a great location for the reception - the minimalist style allowed us to really put our own stamp on the design of the room. The Biscuit Factory team were incredible and the events co-ordinator Katie made the journey from the beginning of planning to the execution of the day extremely calming and easy. Furthermore, the food at the reception was outstanding and the flexibility given for choosing the menu was highly appreciated. We thank the Biscuit Factory team for an unforgettable day - a day exactly how we envisioned.

A perfect day from start to finish!

We got married at the Biscuit Factory June 2018 (ceremony and reception) and we don't have a bad thing to say about them. First of all (and most importantly!) the food was the best that we've ever had at a wedding, bar none, and our guests said the same. Our only regret is that we were too full from the main meal to try everything later in the evening! The service was exceptional throughout the day, the staff were great and couldn't have been more accommodating. Our wedding planner Katie was fantastic right from our first meeting, she was always quick to respond to our questions and we couldn't have organised it without her. All in all it was a perfect day and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. If you do book it make sure you ask about the ice cream cart!

Amazing Venue, Absolutely Faultless

The Biscuit Factory is simply put as amazing. It was a perfect location for our wedding. From the very start, our wedding coordinator Katie was fantastic and helped us create the most incredible wedding. She was always in contact with us and so easy to get in contact with. We got married in the gallery and it was set up superbly and helped make a beautiful ceremony. The food was incredible and every single guest loved the food they had. The service by the staff was extremely professional and were always talking to guests making sure everything was perfect and even get complimenting the bride, our son and how we had the venue. I cant find words to praise the professionalism of the staff and its a testament to Katie and her team. So many of our guests found the Biscuit Factory as a beautiful, quirky and they said they were blown away with how great the place was. Thank you to Katie and her team for making our wedding day so special and I will forever be telling people this is the place to go for a beautiful, amazing and perfect wedding day. The venue was the best.

Quirky art venue, organisation superb, fun, food

My husband and I got married in The Biscuit Factory on the 28th October 2017, we have nothing but huge praise and thanks for our wedding that was perfect in every way. Katie, our Wedding Events Organiser was fantastic, we worked closely with her on the lead up to the wedding and she left no stone unturned. Our day was outstanding, the organisation exceptional plus the wedding breakfast in The Biscuit Room was amazing. Katie and her team managed the day from start to finish. We highly recommend this venue as our special day will always keep a magical place in our hearts. The feedback we have had from our wedding guests has blown us away. ‘Quirky art venue, organisation superb, fun, food delightful, the best wedding we have attended’. Many of our guests will be returning to The Biscuit Factory in the future.

Simply put, this place is the best!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Biscuit Factory and could not have wished for a better venue. Everything from the striking gallery setting to the stunning Biscuit Room was perfect. Our Event Co-Ordinator Katie was excellent - she could not have been more helpful throughout the whole planning process and her attention to detail was second to none. The fact that many of our guests commented as to how professional she was is a testament to how hard she worked on the day! We were given access to decorate the room the day prior to the wedding and Katie liaised with our wedding suppliers to ensure all was in hand. The food and drinks were of such a high standard and I think we’ve lost count at how many people have told us it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had! All in all the day ran so smoothly and that is down to the hard work of Katie, Phil and the Biscuit Factory team. We could not have been more delighted with our choice of venue and can’t thank everyone at The Biscuit Factory enough for everything. Would certainly recommend this stunning venue to all prospective bride and grooms!

Fantastic venue, great team, perfect party!

We hosted our wedding evening party in the Biscuit Room at the Biscuit Factory after getting married abroad, and every aspect of the evening was perfect!

Katie was our events coordinator and was outstanding - she was always quick to respond to any queries leading up to the event and was proactive in suggesting arrangements. She was genuinely enthusiastic and made a real effort to get to know us in order to tailor the event to be exactly as we envisaged it.

The room itself was great - we were given flexible access in advance to decorate as we wished and it looked amazing.

On the night, the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. We lost count of how many people told us it was the best buffet food they had ever had! There was a great range of cocktails available and the changing lights behind the bar are another great feature.

As people who weren't even sure whether to have a party at all, our party here was everything we could have wanted.

Thank you Katie and the team at the Biscuit Factory! We would certainly recommend the venue to anyone looking to host a wedding event.

Wish we could do it all over again...

We got married and had our reception in the biscuit room in October 2016, Katie was our planner and saw to everything we wanted/needed.
I definitely wouldn't say we had a traditional wedding, walked out of the ceremony to the muppets and had afternoon tea instead of a normal wedding breakfast but nothing we requested seemed out of the ordinary to them, which made things feel a lot easier.
I'd 100% recommend the venue,the food, the drinks and all of the people involved.

Simply Wonderful from start to finish

We had our wedding reception at the Biscuit Factory in the Biscuit room it it was brilliant! The team (Jon was our coordinator) were fantastic giving us lots of helpful tips and advice in the planning, things we hadn't even thought of! They made sure the night ran smoothly so we could just enjoy it all. They even dealt with a wedding crasher! The venue itself was stylish and modern, that you could decorate any way you liked and the lighting can be changed to match any colour scheme you could possibly think of. Their clear chairs don't require covers as they are stylish. You get the sense of the art gallery throughout the whole venue. The food was amazing and all of our guests raved about it, especially the chicken skewers and slider burgers. Drinks were reasonably priced for a wedding venue. If this venue is on your maybe list, or even if it's not, i would go along for a visit, they often have open days if you contact them. nothing else compared when we were looking for a reception venue!

It has to be a 5 out of 5 across the board

It has to be a 5/5 as Katie, Phil and the team made our day fantastic. Artisan is one of my favourite restaurants and when my husband proposed I knew where I wanted our wedding. From the onset it was apparent we could have what we wanted, even the ice cream bar from the café for evening guests (we changed our mind on this idea we didn’t want guests cleaning bills!). We got married in the gallery and the rest of the wedding in the Biscuit Room which I would recommend. Katie and Phil took all the stress and I simply said what we wanted. Nobody could believe how calm I was which is how it should be. The food was absolutely amazing, we decided on a banquet and although we were all stuffed couldn’t help but have another mouthful. The food on the evening was just as delicious probably the quietest time of the evening. The waiters & waitresses were all talking to the guests and having a laugh which made it a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
To this day we still have guests talking about our wedding and how wonderful it was, one of best they had been to. Katie, Phil, Chef and the rest of the team working that day thank you so much for making it perfect.

Perfect Venue and Team - Perfect Wedding

We were engaged in 2015 and had some ideas about where to host our wedding reception and when we saw the biscuit factory and what they had to offer, we fell in love.
From the first viewing to the final day our wedding coordinator Katie was so helpful, supported us throughout the process, and gave us ideas. We booked the biscuit factory gallery for our drinks reception followed by the biscuit room for our wedding breakfast and evening do.
The team were so flexible and gave us a blank canvas to work on, they helped bring our ideas to life. The food on the day from the Canapes to the personal feast was incredible too and we would highly recommend this option. We were unsure as to what dessert to have on the day too, and Katie suggested that the chef could create the course from scratch, which was delicious.
Overall our wedding day was perfect, beautiful venue, fabulous food and amazing team to help put it all together.
