This historic family home has been playing host to special events for over 700 years and strives to provide you with everything you need. Facilities and Capacity
Beamish Hall Country House Hotel is available on an exclusive basis, allowing you to choose between individual function room rentals and entire buyout packages. You and your guests can enjoy the whole property for your complete and private celebrations, with guest capacity ranging from 10 to 300. There is a fantastic selection of rooms, including the beautiful Victorian Winter Gardens Orangery and the wonderful wood-panelled Shafto Hall. The striking interiors are complemented beautifully by the stunning parkland and sweeping estate. Photograph opportunities abound on the property as couples will find themselves spoiled for the choice of spectacular backdops.

Amazing wedding
We would just like to thank everyone at Beamish Hall wedding team for their work and effort on our special day. They all went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day. The food was amazing and my family as vegans were really well provided for, we could not have asked for a better day!

Absolutely Superb
Service from Beamish was Superb, all the Staff from reception to waiters, the wedding Coordination Superb, whole day ran smooth with no faults. The Grounds are very clean and cut beautifully Highly recommend Beamish Hall for a venue *****

Beyond expectation
The staff at beamish hall went over and above from the build up to night before all the way until they waved us off the next day.
Nothing was too much and they were all so pleasant to our guests.
The female manager and another lady were so lovely and the male manager who also served at the bar.

Best day of our lives
We had the most amazing wedding at Beamish hall and honestly couldn’t recommend the venue more. From start to finish the team were so friendly and helpful. On the day everything was so well organised and seamless. We were told where to go when and they managed everything. Having their on-site decorating team helped too, as they moved flowers between rooms so we didn’t need to worry about anything.
The venue itself was just perfect too. Such a lovely building. We had exclusive use so we’re able to use each of the 3 big function rooms, and it felt intimate but grand at the same time.
There’s also 40 bedrooms so although a few guests couldn’t book a room the majority were able to, and there’s a few hotels close by too. Although there are cheaper venues, I think it was very reasonable for what we got, and cheaper than a lot in the area.

Honestly our wedding was amazing from start to finish. It went absolutely perfectly and we honestly wouldn’t want to change a thing. The staff we incredible and nothing was ever a bother. They helped us with every question and made the entire experience a lovely one. Would definitely recommend

Beamish Hall was the best decision we ever made
We fell in love with Beamish Hall on our first ever visit, to our first ever wedding fair since being engaged......as we fell in love immediately. From start to finish we have been met with excellence, care, excitement, passion and absolute outstanding service from everyone at Beamish Hall.
Our experience was unforgettable, magical and once in a lifetime and looking back, it was always going to be Beamish for us. The team couldn't do enough for us and we were joyously looked after, nothing was a bother, the day ran perfectly, we didn't hav to lift a finger, everything was immaculate and beautiful.

Fabulous. Our Magical Winter Wonderland Wedding.
My husband and I had our wedding at Beamish in December 2023. It was a magical and beautiful day from start to finish, which would not have been possible without the amazing wedding team at Beamish. The team were kind, patient and helpful, every step of the way! No question was a silly question. Everything ran smoothly thanks to the wedding team. We would recommend any couple had their wedding at beamish. The food was gorgeous, all guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how kind the staff were. There is nothing the staff won’t do to ensure you have a day to remember.

We honestly can not thank Beamish Hall along with Lauren and the rest of the wedding team for making our day so perfect.. From setting our date there 2 years in advance we were made to feel special every time we visited or called with queries. The whole welcoming experience we received I can honestly say made our day run like a dream, making us feel truly amazing but all of our guests commented on what an overall Beamish wedding experience which was simply the best! In a heart beat we wish we coulld relive our day again back at Beamish Hall. We love revisiting Beamish Hall where the staff still remember us and our day which makes us feel honoured to have held our day there .

Amazing supplier, everything was so easy and stress free to organise.

The dream wedding venue
We couldn’t recommend Beamish Hall highly enough. From the first time we looked round to the day after the wedding, we couldn’t fault Beamish Hall. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. Lauren answered all our questions at our first viewing and it was then that it was clear to us that this was the top venue in Durham and we had to book asap. At our final details appointment Mark made us confident that we were in safe hands. Everything was well organised and the wedding day ran like clockwork, we didn’t have to worry about anything! Thanks so much Beamish Hall!

Top notch affordable luxury which everyone remembers
A wonderful all inclusive venue offering the perfect backdrop for a beautiful wedding celebration. Attentive staff on hand for your whole journey from viewing until after the special day. Guests were blown away by the amazing hot food too! So delighted we chose to get married here and there’s nothing we would change…we just wish we could do it all over again!

Best day of our lives
From the very first meeting we could tell how professional and friendly the staff at Beamish Hall were. They made planning our day so easy and literally nothing was an issue or a problem. They were really accommodating and made sure we planned a day that suited us as a couple.
The food choices were all delicious and presented beautifully on the day.
The whole team were really helpful but our coordinator Lauren was a superstar!
On the day itself we were made to feel at ease and supported by everyone at the hotel making sure everything was delivered, set up, and ran to time. The different rooms we used as part of our Exclusive Use package meant each element of the wedding day had a different feel to it, and was decorated beautifully by Beamish Extras.
I honestly can’t recommend Beamish Hall enough as a wedding venue.

The Perfect fairytale Venue
Beamish hall was the first Venue we visited from the moment I stepped in I knew it was the one, we had the most magical wedding day everything was truly perfect, the staff were amazing from the moment we booked our date throughout the whole process and the day flowed seamlessly without a hitch nothing was any trouble the food was to die for and every single one of our guests said it was the best day ever.(I know everyone says this but it really was) We would highly recommend Beamish hall for your dream fairytale wedding it’s simply stunning 💖
