With stunning views over the quayside and the river Tyne, this former home of the Tyne Tees Steam Shipping Company has been beautifully restored to an excellent venue ideal for momentous occasions. Not only do you have a venue replete with 19th-century character, but a dining experience that is second to none and exemplary professional service.

Facilities and capacity

The hotel is licensed to host civil ceremonies and has two private rooms for you to choose from. The Shipyard is the most spacious of their suites; it can hold one banquet table and seat up to 22 people or 40 guests set for a ceremony. It features exposed brickwork, natural daylight, original artworks, and a superb 'wine-glass' chandelier. The Bridge is a more intimate space that can accommodate one banquet table seating up to 10 loved ones for a wedding breakfast or 16 for a ceremony. This room is next to the bistro, which has excellent views over the grand courtyard. Here, you can invite up to 80 guests to celebrate your milestone. From one side of the bistro, you can see chefs at work in the open-plan kitchen. From the other side, you will enjoy incredible views of the outside decking area and the River Tyne. When your wedding festivities end, you and your loved ones can retire to 42 lavish suites and bedrooms equipped with modern amenities.

Cuisine

Hotel du Vin & Bistro Newcastle offers three to five-course menus, including coffee and chocolate truffles, and can cater for children and guests with special dietary requirements. Over 300 different wines are stored in the cellars, and the team will be delighted to recommend pairings with your chosen menu.
