Great wedding venue

We got married here in May 2019. The hotel was wonderful, couldn’t accommodate us or our guests enough. The hotel was clean, inviting and warm. We had the bridal suite with the balcony, the room was spacious, bright and a very generous size. Absolutely stunning views. The staff couldn’t do enough for us or our guests and the food was some of the best I’ve tasted.
The price of the rooms / weddings is amazing for everything you get. We stayed in a “ 5*star hotel “ the following night and was no where near as nice as the Limpley Stoke hotel.
I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in bath.

Wedding 23 March 2019
Our son and his wife held their wedding reception here and many of the guests stayed too. It was a wonderful day, the hotel is in a beautiful setting and everyone had a great time. The wedding breakfast exceeded our expectations and the staff were all very attentive. Our thanks to Karen and the staff for making the day so special.

We recently got married at this lovely hotel in Limpley Stoke. With the old country house setting it was just perfect. The rooms were nice, most of our wedding guests stayed the night before too and the staff were very accommodating, we had quite a big dinner the night before and the food and setting was great. Each room is different but all very clean and tidy.
The actual wedding day itself was amazing, great organisation from Karen our wedding co-ordinator, it was everything we would have wanted and more. Food was great and staff were helpful. I'm a coeliac so need my food gluten free, breakfast was cooked separately for me and we'll catered for the dinner the night before our wedding and on our wedding day itself.

Wedding at The Limpley Stoke Hotel
We got married here on the 4th May 2018.
I want to start by saying our day was amazing and we appreciate that a lot of this was because of the staff at The Limpley Stoke Hotel and Karen the wedding coordinator.
They did not have it easy with us, we had a range of ages (11 months to 80+ years), food allergies (dairy free, gluten free, alcohol intolerance, nut allergy, orange allergy, vegetarian) and various disabilities (wheelchairs, walking frames etc). Nothing seemed to bother them and they made everything seem easy!
As the bride I decided to stay the night before, along with some of my family and friends. We received the warmest of welcomes (even with everyone booking in with the same surname!) and they just made the whole experience relaxed and easy.
Whilst we sourced some of our suppliers ourselves, all of which said it was a pleasure to work with the venue, we took advantage of many recommended by Karen, all of which were fantastic and I would personally recommend; Michael the pianist, Stan the DJ and the hog roast company (I apologise I cannot remember the name).
Karen really does listen to what you want and everything was set up perfectly, the staff are so helpful and the day just ran smoothly.
The food here is fantastic; breakfast, canapés, sit down meals, we received so many comments from guest on how lovely it all was.
More people choose to stay the night of the wedding and everyone comment of how nice their rooms were. We agreed to breakfast at the same time and there were tables reserved so we could all be together.

What a hotel. We stayed 2 nights for a friend's wedding, night number 1 in the bridal room (39) it was fantastic lots of space we had no issues getting ready in the morning with lots of people in the room. Lovely balcony was a great touch. Night 2 was not quite as pleasant the room was nice enough but the walls very thin so we could hear all the comings and goings of the other rooms.
I cannot fault the staff at all! They were helpful and polite and nothing was too much to ask. Breakfast the first morning was served to our room and was simply amazing 2 we all ate in the restaurant and again the food was brilliant, tea and coffee served to the table. We also had dinner in the restaurant on our first night which was very nice.
I would definitely return to stay again and if you are considering a wedding here I would highly recommend!!

We stayed here 13th & 14th July for a friends wedding. Beautiful location, family room plenty big enough, clean, tidy, breakfast was good (not a massive variety of cereal for kids) restaurant food delicious.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding or a few days away.

We had our wedding at the Limpley stoke hotel on the 29th of April.
We could not have asked for a better day, the day was planned perfectly an the hotel lent itself very well to a large wedding, over 100 guests, with lovely looking rooms and a convenient layout.
Karen at Limpley stoke had been helping with the planning of the day for just under a year and could not have been more helpful, always on hand to answer questions, very knowledgeable about the process and was able to guide us without fault.
The hotel itself is a quint old place with lots of character and lovely views and some beautiful old rooms resulting in great photos.
Finally the staff could not have been more helpful, attentive or courteous, a real asset to the hotel.
Feedback from guests was great, some had rather small rooms but they were all clean, others had larger grander rooms, so it does vary a little but all were happy that they were fit for purpose.
Perfect Wedding Venue

We had our wedding here just over a month ago. We managed get a date as someone else had dropped out and we took it. The package includes just about everything you need and we upgraded some of the food options. The food is all delicious and great portion sizes. I had the lamb and it was amazing. It was astoundingly good value and everything that we had agreed too was exactly to the specification on the day. The weather also happened to be perfect so not sure how they managed to arrange that :) All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and resourceful. They all want to make sure everything is to the highest possible standard. Would certainly recommend for a stay and a wedding.
Wonderful Wedding Venue

Karen, the wedding co-ordinator, was amazing. Each meeting we had with her we would go through every detail of the day, no matter how big or small and she made us feel at ease.
The hotel also catered for very specific dietary requirements for many of our guests, which was fantastic.
On our wedding day the weather was beautiful, so we arrived late from the church. This wasn't a problem for the hotel. They asked us if we would like to push the food back by an hour so we could enjoy the canapés and arrival drinks in the sun. Such a fantastic service provided all day by Karen and the hotel staff.
The hotel also had enough rooms for all our friends and family to sleep, as most of them had travelled far. This was a bonus for us and was so lovely to have everyone at the same venue for the whole weekend.
We would hugely recommend this hotel for a wedding or even a weekend away, friendly staff, amazing service and beautiful views over the valley.
We just wish we could do it all again!

We had our wedding on the 14th of February and out of all of the wedding venues we visited, Limpley Stoke has the best value and so much included. Karen was so helpful in suggesting ways to make our day as special as possible without trying to make us spend any extra than we needed to.
The day itself went perfectly and we could not have asked to get married in a lovelier venue with nicer staff.
I fully recommend Limpley Stoke as a wedding venue!

We had our wedding here in January and it was an absolutely wonderful day! Karen, the wedding coordinator, was so helpful and organised. In the planning process, she made us feel like we could contact her with any questions no matter how small or complicated. All the way throughout the planning and on the day itself, Karen was always friendly, professional highly organised and had everything under control. The hotel is a beautiful venue for a wedding with gorgeous views for outdoor photos and beautiful interior. The food was great and the day ran so smoothly. Stan the resident DJ was also fantastic and played all of our requested songs. Overall the day was absolutely amazing. The only small negative of the day (and this really is a very small thing!) was that the music during our wedding ceremony was not noticeable. It might be that it was a bit too quiet or perhaps wasn't played during the signing of the register or walking out, which I'm sure no one else would have noticed. We stayed in the hotel the night before and the night of the wedding and the rooms were clean and nice. We did have an issue with the electrics not working when we finally retired to our room for the evening at 2am, but we told the reception staff and, even though it was 2am, they got it sorted within a few minutes. It is an old building after all, which is what gives it its charm. We would like to say a massive thank you to Karen and all the staff at Limpley Stoke who helped to make our wedding day so amazing!

The staff were excellent, and the food was 5*!We were made to feel like the most important people in the hotel.
The in house DJ was brilliant.
I can't praise the staff and the venue highly enough.
Thank you for making our wedding day magical.
