We knew from our first visit to Matara that we had found our wedding venue! The feeling of calm that came over both of us was incredible, as was the obvious care and love that all the staff have for the place. We hired the venue and accommodation, which worked out really well as we were able to have lots of our friends and family stay on site with us, and come together with us the night before the main day. Matara is totally unique - a word that's really over-used, but truly there is nowhere quite like it. There are so many different, equally photogenic areas to explore, which gives so many options for personalising your day. As nature lovers, we were enthralled by all the greenery, beautiful flowers, and special environments that surrounded us. Abbie was our coordinator, and she was brilliant. She thought of every little detail, and on the day itself I didn't have to worry about a thing - she had everything under control. The day flowed perfectly, and Abbie also checked in with us to make sure our timeline was going as planned. Throughout the planning process, Abbie was always responsive to all our questions, and the wider team was able to support too when needed. Our entire wedding was vegan, which didn't faze the Matara team in the slightest, which was so reassuring! The food was absolutely incredible. Chef Luke created an afternoon tea menu for us which was perfect, and all our guests' dietary requirements (including 3 coeliacs) were very well catered for. We had a delightful tasting earlier in the year too, which was such a treat! So many of our guests commented on how amazing Matara was, even guests who are local and never knew it existed before! We are so glad we found Matara, it truly was out perfect wedding venue, and we'd recommend everyone to discover it for themselves.

We had the most amazing, amazing day at Egypt Mill, Lauren, Stacey, Ben & the rest of the team went way above and beyond for us and made sure our day went smoothly. Lauren especially, has been incredibly helpful from day one, her organisation skill and the effort she puts in is second to none, nothing was too much trouble, even the last minute table changes ! A group of us also had a meal in the restaurant the night before the wedding and there was a fantastic musician on as well, which made the night even more special. We had so many guest comment on how beautiful the venue was and compliments on how great all of the food and rooms were. Massive thanks to Lauren, Stacey, Ben and the team for an absolutely exceptional wedding day - we wish we could do it all over again !

Ingleside House is a beautiful setting for a wedding. The food was outstanding and the level of service second to none. All of our requests were accommodated and we highly recommend this venue for a small or a larger wedding.

If I could give 1000 ⭐️, I would! From the moment I saw Pauntley Court on the Hitched website, I was in tears. Coming from the US to the UK we wanted a place that included accommodations. The love, care, thought, intention that goes into this venue is palpable. I don’t love using the word “venue” as it feels more like you’re being welcomed into someone’s precious home that they’ve allowed you to step into. The history of the space is also incredible, and what an honor to be a part of! The crew at Pauntley think of everything - from robes and slippers in the rooms, to Rachel, an absolute godsend, cooking a full English for brekkie. We had an intimate wedding of 16 at Pauntley in October and every inch of it is magical. The pristine gardens, which allow for a multitude of photo ops, the art on the walls, the bathrooms, oh, the BATHROOMS are gorgeous with soaking tubs and oozing charm. Melissa, the owner, is the sweetest most helpful kind soul there is. All she wants is for your special day or event to be perfect for you. And it’s just that - perfect. Rachel, the keeper of the house, is a gem and as kind as they make them. Holly, who was our coordinator (included as part of the wedding package) was a massive help on the day of the wedding. We couldn’t have done it without these three powerhouse women! They made us at ease, provided vendor suggestions, which made the planning so incredibly smooth I felt like I hardly had to do a thing. Please get married here and be a part of Pauntley’s story.

I was hoping that you could kindly pass on my utmost gratitude for the outstanding service I received while dining in your restaurant during my recent stay. Both the waitress Joycee as well as the kitchen staff went out of there way to provide me with a meal I could fully enjoy. I myself am allergic to dairy products and not only did your amazing staff change items on your menu to fit my dietary needs they also made me a wonderful fruit salad for desert which was not on the menu. These people are truly a credit to your Hotel and fully epitomises what a 5 star service is all about. '' The Slaughters Inn provided us with the location for our perfect wedding. The Windsor room accommodated our 30 guests perfectly. A very personal and intimate occasion made all the more special by the friendly and attentive staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious and all needs were catered for. As we were leaving the church it started to rain and they even went to the trouble of meeting us with umbrellas. The Slaughters Inn will always hold a very special place in our hearts.'' I hosted my wedding at Beachley House in October 2022 and had the most magical day. The grounds are beautiful and intimate. I held my celebrant ceremony under a gazebo at one end of the gardens and hired a tipi for the evening reception. I was able to have a bunch of my guests stay at the house with me. Highly recommend

Will and Alex were professional throughout the whole experience. From visiting the venue at the beginning, hosting the tasting menu meals, to helping clear up after the wedding day (and finding my earring!). They were quick with their responses and easy to call and discuss any issues. Our wedding day ran smoothly, with the team taking control of the schedule so we could fully enjoy every moment. Would highly recommend - thank you!

We got married here last year and will never ever forget our day. I’m sure many people say this, but one of the reasons was largely down to the venue. We can’t not mention Tina and Gavin. From first viewing we knew this is where we wanted to get married. There is plenty of land; a huge barn, a gorgeous orchard for drinks; a barn for the ceremony; plenty of parking and even a tractor to drive the guests from the car park! Tina went out of her way to bring our vision to light. It offered perfectly the diy touch, allowing us to offer our guests exactly the day we had. Tina’s attention to detail is incredible. She listened throughout the process and advised us and took so much stress out of the day. The barn itself had everything needed; a lot of space, a bar; a dance floor and a stage. There is a separate area people can break away if they want some quiet time. Outdoor seating for the day and fire pits for night. A year on people who attended still say it was one of their favourite weddings they have ever been to! Can’t recommend enough!
