Owlpen Manor is a rustic-meets-refined wedding venue situated near Stroud, Gloucestershire. Set within a 215-acre estate, this romantic venue is the perfect venue for exclusive, private wedding celebrations, plus accommodation on the estate for 54 people in boutique holiday cottages and glamping.
With stunning surroundings, romance and intimacy, the venue can offer all you need for a wonderful, unforgettable wedding. The venue’s fantastic team of professionals will work closely with you to design your very own bespoke wedding package and will be on hand to take care of every detail.
Facilities and Capacity
In a nutshell, this is a whole Cotswold village which is available to hire for three days, with a wedding in the middle of it! Owlpen offers a number of beautiful locations within the estate for wedding receptions. The estate is available for your exclusive use for the entirety of your wedding weekend, or for three days midweek.
With stunning barns, fully licensed indoor and outdoor ceremony venues, photography locations and reception spaces, the estate is an extremely flexible setting for your day. The venue can accommodate receptions with between 20 and 120 guests.
All areas are licensed and we can offer a mouth-watering variety of selected wines and a pay bar when required. The Old English formal gardens offer a delightful setting for your favourite drinks and canapes, with space for up to 200 guests.
Services Offered
Micro weddings: If you’re planning a smaller wedding, the Great Hall in the Manor House provides a wonderful setting for intimate micro ceremonies.
Chursh ceremonies: There is a parish church next to the manor house, which can seat over 120 people.
Accommodation: The nine holiday cottages on the estate are spread out across the valley, so you are hiring an entire Cotswold hamlet for a wedding weekend in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Cotswolds.
Nature lovers: And did we mention the swimming lake? There is nothing like a natural swim in a spring-fed lake to take away the nerves, or blow out the cobwebs.

The perfect Venue!
We had the perfect day at Owlpen. We booked all the cottages available so had about 40 of our friends and family with us from the Friday right through until Sunday. Everyone loved their little quirky cottages and we all spent Friday night together at the local pub for an early celebration, which was only a 10 minute walk away.
We loved the fact there was a church at the venue and fully utilised this for our ceremony. Luckily the weather was good and we could then move to the manor house gardens for our drinks reception. With the sun shining, prosecco flowing and string quartet playing, it was nothing short of perfect.
Into the main barn for food which was spacious and beautiful. The smaller Cyder press barn was perfect for the evening disco. We also made use of the outside areas, with people playing cornhole and sitting around the fire pit.
The staff were so helpful, responding super quick to any queries and would accommodate so many requests. Our coordinator on the day was an absoulte god send and made us feel so relaxed that everything was being taken care of so we could just enjoy the day.
I'd highly recommend Owlpen for any couples looking for a countryside venue that is absolutely stunning, spacious and accommodating. Our photos are beautiful and that's mostly to do with the lawns, gardens and lakes that Owlpen offers.

Romantic laid back venue
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding than Owlpen Manor. The grounds and barns are absolutely stunning – every corner feels magical, and our guests were blown away. We filled all the cottages with our guests, who loved staying for a couple of nights to really enjoy the venue.
The team were professional and friendly, making everything feel completely stress-free. We felt completely supported and looked after, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy every moment.
We’re so grateful to Owlpen Manor for helping make our day so special, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a venue that’s beautiful, welcoming,

Perfect setting for best day!
Owlpen went above and beyond when it came to our wedding! Bella, Hugo and team were so flexible, friendly but also gave great advice and encouragement when it came to our ideas and what we wanted to do. We really couldn’t thank them enough for making our day so perfect 😍

The most perfect day!
The whole team at Owlpen Manor were nothing short of incredible. Everything from the food to the service, organisation, coordination - all absolutely flawless. They did everything possible to make our day the best it could be and I can’t thank them enough. You’ve given us memories that we’ll treasure always!

Excellent venue and attentive team
We had our wedding in May last year and it was a wonderful experience. The venue was absolutely beautiful and the people who worked there made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable for us. They helped coordinate with vendors and helped keep us on schedule without making it stressful (and in fact made it rather fun, with one of our groomsmen being the designated bell ringer to round up guests).
One of our guests asked us to include the below feedback: "We would like to personally thank the hospitality team for their attentive service provided. Especially to Luke who helped to look after my wife who was pregnant by going the extra mile."

The most amazing venue for our special day
From the moment we arrived to our first appointment to walk around Owlpen, even though we had rain and grey clouds, we walked through the gardens with Bella and our umbrellas and still fell in love.
Bella gave us such a relaxed and welcoming feeling and what put us at ease was the professionalism and trust in knowing that herself and all of the staff at Owlpen knew their craft so well.
All of the staff were kind, helpful, genuinely lovely and passionate people and professional the whole way through, the visits, open days, booking and leading up to our big day was made so much easier with advice from Bella, Hugo, Tonia and the wonderful Mel who made our big day, simply amazing.
Mel was our rock for our weekend and so many of our family and friends told us how amazing all of the staff and venue were.
We can’t thank Owlpen and all of the staff there enough, for the advice, the organisation, the happy tears, the memories, the stunning venue and location & the best weekend of our lives.

E&E Wedding July 2025
The team at Owlpen were excellent! They really listened to us about what we were looking for and that put them above the other venues which we looked at. We wanted to go for the mid-week package and loved the fact you basically got the venue for three days, most importantly for us, the day before to set up. We also loved you could get married outside in the beautiful gardens and not have to flip any rooms for the reception, wedding breakfast or dancefloor as they all had their separate areas. They were also the ONLY venue to take on board that the bride was T-Total and allowed us to make a unique alcohol-free package to offer our guests, alongside the alcohol package. It worked brilliantly! The food was fantastic and was complimented by all the guests. Luke and Tonia ran the day so seamlessly and helped us sort a large BBQ the night before too.
10/10 for everything and everyone. Highly recommended!

The best day of our lives
We want to say the biggest thank you to the whole Owlpen team, but in particular to Bella, Tash, Hugo and more!
The minute we visited Owlpen, we knew this was our venue. We booked it a year in advance straight after our engagement. It was just magical. It really gives that rustic British countryside vibe.
Throughout the year, the Owlpen team kept in contact and kept us informed. As it got closer to the wedding I (the bride) had many questions and worries that started coming up. Every single one was answered with kindness, patience and excitement.
On our actual wedding day, I couldn’t imagine Tash and Bella not being there. They were constantly encouraging, prompt and made the day so relaxing. We will never forget what the Owlpen team did for us. We truly had the most amazing day of our lives.
You forever have a place in our hearts. Honestly, if you’re thinking about booking Owlpen as your wedding venue, just do it! Best decision we ever made. ( other than getting married)

Dream Wedding
Our wedding at Owlpen Manor was truly a dream come true! The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking—steeped in history, surrounded by stunning countryside, and with so much charm. It created the perfect backdrop for our special day, and our guests were in awe of its beauty.
A huge thank you to Tonia and Luke, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly on both Friday and Saturday. Their support, attention to detail, and willingness to help with every aspect of the day made all the difference.
We also booked out all the onsite accommodation, which was a fantastic decision. It made the whole weekend feel even more magical, allowing our closest family and friends to stay together and enjoy the celebrations to the fullest.
We also want to give a special shout-out to our caterers, Food Champs, who were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and tailored perfectly to our tastes. They impressed not only us but every single one of our guests. Their team was professional, friendly, and ensured everything ran seamlessly during the meal service.

Simply Brilliant!
We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Not only is it picture perfect, the people who work there are an absolute joy to work with. Tonia was our main point of contact both to view the property and on the day before and the day itself and she couldn't do enough for us to make sure it was perfect! Luke as well made sure that we had everything we needed and him and his team helped so much with the evening and tidying things up for us to make sure it was an easy job in the morning when we were a little worse for wear.
Hugo and Bella were also amazing at answering all my thousands of questions in the lead up and Ryan on the morning after helping again to put all my decor in boxes.
If you're thinking of booking here do it! You won't be disappointed!

Accomodating, stunning, perfect..
Owlpen Manor is incredibly accommodating, stunningly picturesque and was the perfect venue for our wedding. My husband and I had the most magical outdoor wedding on their top lawn and could not have been happier. We absolutely loved the grounds and the barns, as did our guests. We planned closely alongside Bella and Tonia, who made sure that every detail was thought of and executed flawlessly. Tonia was also wonderful at keeping a nervous bride and groom at ease in the morning. Luke was also incredible and made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day – our guests even commented on what a wonderful job they did and how committed they were. The whole team are very knowledgeable, experienced and accommodated our ideas (even our more unusual ideas) to make our day extra special – their experience built upon our ideas to make them work well and ensure that everyone was involved and had a great day. The cottages were perfect for our guests with exquisite views. The views also made for stunning wedding photos! We also loved having the venue for the whole weekend, as we could greet our guests with food and drinks on the Friday evening before our wedding on the Saturday. We had the best day of our lives and thank them for their hard work, expertise and for making our wedding day happen exactly as we wanted it to. We couldn’t have imagined our wedding day anywhere else.
