Egypt Mill is a charming wedding venue set on the riverside edge of the historic market town of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. It has a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal place to spend your special day with all of your nearest and dearest. Here, event staff aim to go the extra mile to ensure your celebration is nothing short of unforgettable from start to finish.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue’s 16th-century mill sits in beautifully maintained water gardens, and the private lawn is the perfect setting for your guests to enjoy drinks and canapés. Egypt Mill is licensed to hold civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 90 people for your vow exchange. Inside, the inviting function suite has enough space for 110 guests during a sit-down reception or 150 standing individuals for your evening party. During the evening, you and your entourage will have complimentary use of the private get-ready rooms.

Egypt Mill’s event team offer a completely flexible approach to planning, and their wedding coordinator will ensure all the details are tailored to your unique vision. You can also look forward to working with the in-house catering service—the chefs offer a range of menus to suit your taste and dietary needs. The Egypt Mill Hotel and Restaurant has ample free parking for convenience. Moreover, the property is within easy reach of Worcester, Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham, and Swindon, making it ideal for your travelling guests. Should you require overnight accommodation, the venue has 28 en-suite rooms on-site.

Best team, most beautiful venue, amazing wedding - what more could you ask for !?
We had the most amazing, amazing day at Egypt Mill, Lauren, Stacey, Ben & the rest of the team went way above and beyond for us and made sure our day went smoothly. Lauren especially, has been incredibly helpful from day one, her organisation skill and the effort she puts in is second to none, nothing was too much trouble, even the last minute table changes !
A group of us also had a meal in the restaurant the night before the wedding and there was a fantastic musician on as well, which made the night even more special. We had so many guest comment on how beautiful the venue was and compliments on how great all of the food and rooms were.
Massive thanks to Lauren, Stacey, Ben and the team for an absolutely exceptional wedding day - we wish we could do it all over again !
Amazing venue
The most special day
Egypt mill is a beautiful venue with lots of rooms, and outdoor space for guests to relax. There were endless places to get photographs. The guests were all raving about how lovely their rooms were for their stay.
The chefs at Egypt mill must have worked tirelessly to get all the food served in impeccable timing and all of the food was so delicious! Again the team made special efforts to personalise the experience for us with specific dietary needs and they assisted us with some major cake issues on the day which I am truly grateful for.
It's hard to summarise all the aspects of the day and our experience with Egypt mill because there are too many things to note, honestly there's above and beyond and then there's the team at Egypt mill. They exceeded expectations beyond anything we could have imagined.

My names Lauren and I am the Events Manager here at The Egypt Mill.. I have been at Egypt Mill for over 10 years, so there really is no one who know's the place more than me!
I am there with you every step of the way from initial email or show round all the way through to the special day. I will be your support system and give advice when needed as a wedding can be really overwhelming to plan!
Always free for a coffee to answer any questions you may have.
The reason I love weddings in particular is how different each one can be, there is nothing better than watching a bride & groom walk back up the aisle after saying I do, with your loved ones throwing confetti.
