Facilities and Capacity
The Painswick offers exclusive use of its stunning interiors and picturesque grounds and is licensed for civil ceremonies, meaning you can celebrate here from beginning to end. Up to 60 loved ones can join you for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and 80 for your evening soiree. Couples can say 'I do' in the verdant garden against gorgeous valley vistas or in the romantic St Mary's Church just a stone's through away. Two welcoming lounges with open log fireplaces and lavish sofas set the scene for a drinks reception where guests can mingle, later providing the perfect setting for dancing. Nearlyweds planning an outdoor occasion will love the serene garden terrace and manicured lawns, ideal for all aspects of the day. A unique bar will ensure your guests stay hydrated throughout your celebration, and a classic games room adds an extra element of fun and sophistication. After your evening of dining and dancing, you and your beloved can retire to George's Suite, a luxury room with a Romeo and Juliet balcony. There are also cosy accommodations for your guests for the utmost comfort.

It’s such a beautiful, intimate venue with so much character and charm. The interiors are stunning, the atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, and the whole place feels incredibly special. It was exactly what we wanted for our wedding day.
Having seen so many venues through my work, I can honestly say The Painswick is something really special. It doesn't feel like a big, traditional wedding venue. Instead, it has this wonderful personal feel, almost as though you've hired the most beautiful house and filled it with all your favourite people. It's intimate, relaxed and just feels so special.
The team are absolutely fantastic too — so professional, attentive and genuinely lovely. Everything felt effortless, and we were able to just relax and enjoy every moment.
If I could do it all over again, I would choose The Painswick in a heartbeat! We couldn't have wished for a more beautiful setting to celebrate our wedding, and it will always hold such a special place in our hearts.
