The Brogues Ceilidh Band provides live wedding music based out of central Glasgow, Scotland. These talented musicians love to ceilidh and have been spreading joy across the UK for many years. Their diverse repertoire includes imaginative covers of top disco and pop hits as well as traditional folk tunes. Services Offered
The Brogues Ceilidh Band offers live music and DJ services for ceremonies, receptions, and any celebration surrounding your big day. When your big day arrives, you can expect them to interact with your guests and work flawlessly through your timeline, including your romantic first dance. Your package can be tailored to your needs, but they typically provide a four-piece band with sound equipment and a caller to guide the dancing.

We can book dates into the diary 2+ years in advance, but we're also able to do last-minute elopements, and help couples who've been let down by their suppliers with only a fortnight to go!

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
Yes! We can provide a live cover of your first dance song free. Covers set requests with 8 weeks' notice (£50 extra per musician - £100 duo etc). Any DJ requests can be made in advance or on the night
What's your experience?
We've played 100+ weddings (plus birthday parties, anniversaries, balls, fundraisers, New Year's Eves/St Patrick's Days/Christmas parties...) across the UK, Ireland and beyond
Do you have your own equipment?
Yes
Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
Yes, - Access to main power sockets; we don't have our own generator
- Parking spaces for our cars
- Flooring & overhead cover if we're outside & it's raining - e.g. we can't put equipment on sloped grass
Can you travel?
Yes, absolutely anywhere! We've had enquiries for UK, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, US, Dubai...
Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, - Fuel cost of 56p per mile.
- For venues that are 2hrs+ drive, we will also charge for accommodation if unable to stay with family. Clients can provide accommodation
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

What is the length of time of the act?
This varies between couples/venues! We recommend starting around 8pm. 2 sets of 45mins ceilidh, with a 30-min break in the middle, followed by 60-90mins DJ. Extra charges for finishing after midnight
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
We'll need (at least) 1 hour immediately before the dancing/music starts to setup & soundcheck. There is an extra charge for early setup (e.g. before dinner) as we'll need to wait around in the venue

How do you charge extra time?
£150 per hour extra for:
- Early setup (e.g. before dinner)
- Finishing after 12am midnight
- If you only wanted 30mins extra, we would only charge the £75 - not the full hour
What are the forms of payment?
We ask for payments to be made via bank transfer - including international banks & building societies.
We cannot accept cash.
Cheques are acceptable, but not preferable

Excellent Service 10/10
The Brogues were excellent and very accomodating to our wedding. Their sound is amazing and all the guests loved the atmosphere they helped create. From our end as organisers they were responsive and easy to work with. Can 100% recommend without any issue.

The perfect wedding ceilidh band
Booked the Brogues for our wedding and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Excellent band who helped out with anything we needed - including throwing in a few slow dances for a very pregnant bridesmaid! We and all our guests had a fabulous time. If you book The Brogues you won't regret it!
