Arranging wedding attire is a process that’s easy to become frustrated by, easy to find frustrating and often in these shops they are over formalised, overpriced and a daunting experience. A1 Kilt Hire completely threw these fears and expectations out the window. Our first impression when we walked in to the shop was a happy, welcoming friendly staff member wearing a Hawaiian shirt and a kilt.. nerves settled already at this point. His professionalism was fantastic and knew exactly when the time is right for to be more relaxed with a good sense of humour. The pricing was the best we could find and matched with a level of service that you would expect from a far more expensive and “formal” shop. Communication was excellent from start to finish, everything was explained thoroughly and there was an emphasis placed on ensuring that we were fully supported from payment through to measurement and collection, with a simple returns process. Understandably all businesses must make a profit to survive, however to find that the priority of this small business was delivering customer service (knowing that by doing so, there will be a positive impact on the business as a whole) was both welcoming and reassuring. No pushy upselling, just amazing service and a positive lasting impression that helped to make our big day that bit easier. Thank you for everything, we will return for any kilt hire formal wear that we need and would encourage everyone who may be unsure when it comes to picking your hire store.. these guys don’t disappoint. Really reasonable price, 3 kilts bought + 7 hired and the service was great at all interactions. One kilt didn’t fit on pick up day and was very promptly exchanged the next morning. They were great to suggest dropping off in Edinburgh on the way back home from the wedding which we wouldn’t have thought to do!
