Wyresdale Weddings is a charming countryside, barn & manor house wedding venue located in the Forest of Bowland. The venue's heritage barns have been lovingly restored to create a stunning, spacious venue where you can exchange your vows, enjoy your wedding breakfast and party the night away. Estate cottages and old coach houses provide the accommodation on the night of your wedding, with accommodation for forty two guests. The Manor House and lodge are for your stay the night before, sleeping 12 guests in beautiful surroundings. Lawns, lakes and woodlands are all on hand for timeless photos, providing picture perfect backdrops for your drinks reception.
Although this romantic gem is adored for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic beauty, it is well-connected to major cities thanks to its proximity to the M6.
NEW FOR 2025...
Our estate has undergone some incredibly exciting changes! New works include a beautiful walled ceremony garden, where you can say 'I do' with the rolling fells of the Trough of Bowland as your backdrop.
There will is also a newly enhanced inside bar, with bespoke banquette leather seating and underfloor heated limestone floor. Should the weather be on the cooler side, your indoor drinks reception space has now been refreshed and will include an abundance of comfortable seating, a log burner, underfloor heating and stunning chandeliers. Not forgetting the atrium area for your indoor confetti shot. For your evening party, this area will showcase a central stage, open plan access and fairy light drapes for you and your guests to party away under the stars!
If the sun is shining, then guests will make their way outside following the ceremony - stopping at the new outdoor bar for a drink before heading up the steps towards the handmade oak pavilion or perhaps to embark on some lawn games! The outdoor ceremony garden will include a beautiful oak frame for you to greet your guests ahead of that all important confetti shot...
FACILITIES & CAPACITIES
Wyresdale Weddings is home to a variety of beautiful event spaces. The Ceremony Barn is an ideal place to tie the knot, offering a stunning blank canvas for you to bring your wedding ceremony dreams to life. Able to seat up to 150 people, our ceremony barn maintains many of its original barn features, as well as a log burner which is perfect for those stunning winter weddings. Receptions can be held in the vibrant Party Barn, a creative space for your drinks reception and late-night dancing. For an outdoor alternative, the South Lawn is a wonderful option. Hidden away behind the café gardens, this open-air setting can be used for lawn games and welcome drinks.
ONSITE ACCOMMODATION
All accommodation is located just a stone’s throw from our rustic wedding barns, allowing all of your closest friends and family to stay with you on either the night before or night of your wedding. Take a look at our accommodation options here:
The North Wing, night before your wedding (sleeps 6) - part of our grand manor house, showcasing many of its original features that exude traditional charm – perfect for you and your loved ones to enjoy on your wedding day. The North Wing boasts three spacious double bedrooms, a roll-top bath, walk-in showers, a large kitchen/diner and a cosy wood-panelled drawing-room.
The Lodge, night before your wedding (sleeps 6) - A timber clad cabin that sits close to the North Wing. It will provide accommodation for up to six, with one king-sized bedroom, one double and a twin. The Lodge also features a longe and kitchen area for guests to enjoy. Set in the woodland, with views across the park, The Lodge is the perfect place for your wedding party to spend the night before your wedding.
The Honeymoon Suite, night of your wedding (sleeps 2) - All new for 2023, located in the newly refurbished Coach House building. Accessed from the South Lawn gardens, you’ll enter into a private, panelled drawing room, cosy and perfect for a glass of champagne after your long day. Connected to this ,via a sliding door, is your master bedroom, with super-king luxury bed, high ceilings, ensuite bathroom, walk-in shower and beautiful lighting.
The Coach House, night of your wedding (sleeps 8) - Four new ensuite ground floor bedrooms available the night of the wedding, perfect for elderly family members or disabled access. These bedrooms will be located in the estate’s historic Coach House, with original panelling and beautiful beams. Adding these bedrooms into the wedding venue will allow you to have 38 friends and family to stay onsite.
Keeper's Cottage, night of your wedding (sleeps 6) - The Keeper’s Cottage is the perfect hideaway for some of your nearest and dearest. Located next to the Orchard Glampsite and just moments walk from our rustic wedding barns, the cottage features a light and spacious open plan kitchen/dining room, three king-sized bedrooms (one with the option of a twin set up) and a separate shower room and bathroom – with a luxurious roll-top bath.
The Orchard Glampsite, night of your wedding (sleeps 24) - Our Orchard Glampsite features ten wonderfully rustic yet luxurious yurts and two wooden pods for your guests to enjoy on the evening of your wedding. In contrast to the rest of our traditional accommodation, the yurts are a fun and unique spot for your guests to rest their heads. All yurts are raised on timber decks with heated king size beds (sleeping two guests), phone charging facilities and have access to a fully fitted kitchen, beautiful dressing room, lavatories & showers.
The Nook, night of your wedding (sleeps 2) - A cosy and luxurious hideaway for your nearest and dearest to rest their head. The Nook is tucked away right next to your other guests in The Orchard Glampsite – perfect for that hidden hideaway without missing out on all the fun!

Before -
The first tour I did, it left me speechless. That was purely because of the grounds. I wouldn’t stop talking about it and it was my dad who said, if it was your dress you would say yes as it just feels right. That same evening, the email was sent.
During -
None stop communication but not too much, the staff just get it! The staff here don’t just take money and have no communication. They are there when needed, all platforms of communication! No question is silly. They are ALL for fun ideas!
Wedding Eve / Wedding Day -
AMAZING, SELFLESS, ABOVE & BEYOND!
We had the option to go up the day before to set up as there was no weddings on. Which we as couple personally loved. We could dress the venue how we wanted and could have that experience ourselves.
From John and his family, to all the staff at Wyresdale they just want you to have the best time. They are there to make sure you have the best day of your life. I know it’s their job to take care of everything but they really do!
So in a nutshell, BOOK THE TOUR & THEN BOOK WYRESDALE PARK AS YOUR WEDDING VENUE!

The renovations to the venue are stunning — they've managed to preserve its charm while adding thoughtful, modern touches that elevate the whole experience. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly everything went.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better day or a more supportive team to help bring it all together. Wyresdale is a dream venue, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated there! Highly, highly recommend.
A word of caution though: The wedding blues will hit you HARD after getting married there…make sure you have your honeymoon booked quickly after!!
The best venue for the best day!
Our co-ordinators, Clare and Leah, could not have been more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived the day before to style and set up the barns but weren't able to do everything in time. When we saw the barns on our wedding day they exceeded our expectations with how they had been styled.
The bar staff were brilliant from pouring pints to tying together a guest's broken shoe!

Theres no better venue!
Me and my partner had searched for venues and were giving up hope when we found Wyresdale. We knew straight away we’d found our venue.
It’s the only venue that was perfectly accommodated for summer AND winter. We had a winter wedding and the inside was so beautiful I didn’t care if it rained.
Throughout the co-ordinates were so helpful and on the day they were incredible! Leah and Amy were so helpful and kind and we were so grateful to them for making the day a success!
The food from striped kitchen is incredible too all our guests raved about it, the flowers from their florist were beautiful and the bridal cottage the night before is stunning!
You will have the best wedding at Wyresdale!
The most perfect venue
The accommodation was another thing that drew us in, we managed to have lots of close family and friends stay over, meaning less stress having to make sure people had arranged taxis. The accommodation for both the night before and the night of was amazing, we couldn't fault it. The North Wing and the Lodge were a gorgeous places to get ready in before the wedding and it looks amazing on our photos.
The staff were absolutely incredible too and could not have done enough for us. They were attentive and kept in touch regularly without it being overwhelming, were always on the end of the phone or an email and were really laid back about everything (which is exactly what you need!). We had a few things to set up the night before and Claire was on hand to make sure that these were safely stored and everything was set up perfectly the next day. Special shout out to Claire, Leah and all the bar staff for making the day run so smoothly! All our guests said the bar staff were so friendly which makes a big difference on the day, so thank you :)
We wouldn't change a thing about our day and we'd love to do it all over again!
Absolute perfection!
Wyresdale Weddings runs like a well-oiled machine. The team are slick, attentive, professional, discreet and absolutely nothing was too much trouble to them. They can also recommend other professional services to work alongside that know the venue and these were all amazing too - the food, the flowers and the photographers.
The location, the co-ordination before and during the big day, the friendly staff and the breathtaking venue were all key ingredients in what was the most perfect day.

A very SPECIAL THANKS to Heather our coordinator on the day and Clare who helped us in the morning. You were both a dream, made me feel so calm and relaxed and I couldn't have asked for anyone or anything else. Thank you so much for being a part of our special day, we will cherish these memories forever.
A truly magical day
My partner is a Wedding DJ, and I am a Wedding Coordinator so when we got engaged, the pressure was most definitely on. Wyresdale was the only venue that he suggested viewing, and I fell in love instantly.
The booking process was easy, and communication leading up to the day was simple.
The team on the day of our Wedding (22nd June 2024) were incredible. They were so easy going and not intrusive what so ever.
The setting for the whole day was absolutely gorgeous! The weather was also on our side. Every area from bridal prep, the grooms den, the ceremony barn, our drinks reception on the south lawn, the wedding breakfast in the white barn and the evening reception in the party barn were extremely aesthetic - including the bar and grounds all around. The boating lake is absolutely breathtaking and the images from the boat using a drone are incredible.
The accommodation was perfect - all of our guests have commented on the day, the venue and accommodation.
Without hesitation, book.

The wedding coordination team were incredible since the day we had our first tour and we fell in love with the venue instantly. The relaxed vibe at Wyresdale was perfect for us and we knew we HAD to get married there!
Fast forward 18 months to May this year and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Everything ran like clockwork but still keeping that relaxed and chill feeling, simply effortless 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Clare on the day was just brilliant, she kept me calm at the right times and made sure we had the day we had dreamed of, plus even more!
Our guests absolutely loved the venue, the yurts and the grounds - simply perfect 😍
We couldn’t recommend Wyresdale weddings enough, we just wish we could do it all again and are so sad it’s all over 😭😭😭

The BEST wedding venue!
The team also couldn't have been more helpful, always on hand to answer questions and helping our day run smoothly. The partner caterer (Striped Kitchen) were absolutely outstanding and the grounds provide so many amazing photo opportunities.
We're so happy we picked Wyresdale as our wedding venue and we love that we can even go back to visit the on site café or lake.
