We cannot recommend The Boat House at Aston Marina in Stone, Staffordshire highly enough. From the moment we chose them as our wedding venue, every detail was handled with the utmost care and professionalism, and they made our day truly unforgettable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request we made was tailored perfectly to ensure our wedding was exactly how we imagined it.

A very special thank you must go to Lizzy, our Wedding Manager, who brought all our ideas and wishes to life. Whenever we had a request, she went above and beyond to make it happen, and her dedication meant we felt completely confident that our day would be everything we hoped for.

Ash, who supported us as our Wedding Co-ordinator and through catering, was another incredible part of our journey. From our food tasting event she gave us such a memorable experience that we specifically asked for her support on the big day. She tailored everything to our exact needs with great attention to detail, especially with allergy and dietary requirements. Ash is a real asset to The Boat House and her presence made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day fully.

Alex, also in Wedding Co-ordination and catering, played a vital role from the day before right through to the wedding itself. He worked tirelessly to ensure our vision came to life, often offering professional insights that made our ideas even more elegant and unique. His contribution was invaluable.

Together, Ash and Alex were a fantastic team. Their approach on the day was the perfect balance of flexibility and structure, which ensured that not only we but all our guests had an enjoyable and memorable experience. We truly could not have done it without them, and every couple deserves such a supportive duo on their wedding day.

A huge thank you as well to all of the bar staff who worked so hard to keep our guests happy and hydrated throughout the day. Every drink was served with a smile, and the atmosphere was always welcoming. A special shout out to the barmaid who poured her very first Baby Guinness and absolutely smashed it! a little moment that added to the fun and memories of the day.

The venue itself was nothing short of perfect. Having exclusive use of the grounds meant that all of our guests could enjoy both the inside and outside areas freely, without any distractions or interruptions. The outdoor space was beautifully spacious and the addition of garden games brought such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. With two licensed areas for ceremonies, both indoors and outdoors, couples have the choice of setting that best suits them, which is a wonderful option.

In every way The Boat House delivered beyond our expectations. The venue, the team and the service combined to create the most special day of our lives. Everything we could have hoped for was here, and more. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate their wedding.

I couldn't have picked a better wedding venue for my special day. Everything about the venue is just PERFECT! I went for a walk around Aston Marina years ago and there was a wedding at The Boat House. The minute I spotted the venue I knew straight away I'd want to get married there one day! We went for the Twilight package which was perfect for the size of wedding we had and it was such good value for money. The planners including Abby have been so responsive and attentive. We had guests coming from all over the country and every single person said how stunning the venue was. Thank you so much for making my special day so special and wonderful!

We booked the twilight package at The Boat House for our wedding in June and it was amazing value for money. The staff were excellent, especially Lizzy, from first contact to the moment we left the venue the day after the wedding.

On the day they were really flexible letting us have early access to decorate and get ready, they helped coordinate where people needed to be for the ceremony, all food and drinks were served on time and the quality was excellent.

We added some extras to our package: a cheese wedding cake, shots of lemoncello and a night on the Dragon Fly. All were excellent and again, good value for money.

We would 100% recommend Aston Marina for a wedding or any other event!

The setting is beautiful and the food was incredible!

We booked with Abby and she is truly amazing at her job, we knew from our first meeting that she would do everything to make the day perfect. Communication was excellent and any questions were answered quickly and with care.

On the day, Abby was on hand along with Alex and they were amazing, making sure everything went to plan and getting a very nervous bride and groom, along with all the guests to exactly where they needed to be. I cant praise them both enough. All staff on the day were amazing too, so warm, friendly and professional.

We're so glad that we chose the boat house for our wedding, because it made the day so much more special than we could have imagined.

Our daughter and her then future husband decided on Aston Marina as the venue for their wedding. They are now married after a superb day at the Boathouse.

From my very first contact with the events team, and specifically Abby, I realised that the people involved know what customer service is. Every email was dealt with quickly and provided exactly the information required.

We were able to pay for the event in instalments, and a receipt was sent electronically very quickly. The level of communication was excellent and I soon realised that nothing was too much trouble for these professionals.

The wedding fair, which was hosted in the Boathouse, enabled us to meet representatives of companies that the events staff trusted. We saw the size of tables and how they could be presented. It was really useful to see the whole of the facility with the bride’s changing area, the central area where the meal would be served and the external areas with lots of comfortable seating.

We took advantage of the weather and had the ceremony outside. I know from discussion with Abby that they can change from inside to outside, or vice versa very quickly.

On the day, Abby was there to coordinate things and was very ably supported by her colleagues. I felt secure on a day when it was extremely important to me that everything went well. The team is made up of consummate professionals, working seamlessly to deliver a quality experience.

The support provided as the ceremony started and progressed was simply like having a safety net of people whose sole purpose was to ensure that everything went smoothly. I am so grateful to all of the staff who ensured that our day was perfect.

The meal was beautifully presented and delivered smoothly to the guests. In my opinion, the food was well cooked and flavoursome. A view shared by many others I spoke to after the meal.

There may be things I have not mentioned, but as I write this review I do so with a smile on my face as I reflect on a truly fabulous day in a great venue supported by true professionals.

I would recommend Aston Marina and their events team without reservation.

This venue exceeded our expectations. From the build up to the actual day, the team are there for you and communicate every last detail, whether that is via phone, email or in person. The day itself was organised so smoothly and the staff all made sure we were looked after. Lizzy was so patient and always enthusiastic. Her manner put me at ease and she always had a smile on her face. We stayed in the boat overnight and this was stunning! We are so glad we chose Aston Marina the Boat house for our wedding the scenery is beautiful rain or shine, the venue is exclusive and thanks to their amazing team the day ran so smoothly and it was truly the most magical day!! We had quick responses to all of our enquiries from the moment we booked, they were their to help us navigate everything. When part of our party pulled out a week before the wedding Liz our event organiser took was so kind and made the situation as easy as possible to go through. We were able to drop off our decor the day before and the team set it up, bringing our vision to life, allowing us to truly enjoy the day from start to finish. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food, catering, drinks were all exquisite and excellent value for Money! The facilities, dressing room and the dragonfly boat we stayed on the night of the wedding was exceptional! The personal touches provided by the team was so touching and the recommended DJ had a beautiful set up. We honestly could not fault anything, are guests all can't stop raving about everything and we would all go back and do it all again in a heartbeat!!! We are so grateful to the whole team involved in our day & would definitely recommend booking! We recently had our wedding at The Boat House, and I cannot express how thrilled we were with the entire experience.

From the very beginning, staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. The communication was nothing short of excellent throughout the entire process. No question was ever too small, nor were there ever too many questions – they were all answered very thoroughly and promptly. Not only that, every email was met with professionalism and kindness. It truly felt like we were in good hands and it was so easy to build a rapport with the girls who work for The Boat House.

The venue itself is beautiful and well maintained. It’s very modern with lots of light, which is great because it didn’t feel like it needed a lot of dressing up. Lots of places for photos and for guests to enjoy the day. The dressing room has also recently been renovated which made the getting ready process so luxurious.

The food on the wedding day was even better than the day we did our menu tasting. We were impressed with the extensive selection of dishes available and the fact The Boat House catered to our preferences and guests dietary requirements so well. Each dish was presented so well and all the portions were generous.

Whilst all of the staff we dealt with at The Boat House were great, we would also like to give a special mention to Abby who was absolutely incredible with us. From helping us set up the day beforehand, to helping look after my young niece before going down the aisle – Abby’s efforts always went beyond expectation. Nothing was too much trouble and she ensured that everything on the day ran like clockwork – I literally didn’t have to worry about a single thing, which made the entire process and day so stress free. Abby is an absolute credit to The Boat House and we can’t thank her enough.

In summary, The Boat House provided an unforgettable experience for our special day. We genuinely couldn’t fault any part of the process and are incredibly grateful to every member of the team for making our day even better than we could have imagined.

When we first visited Aston Marina, we absolutely fell in love. We loved everything about it, it’s beautiful grounds, the brightness of the main room, the unique photo opportunities, but the main thing that makes Aston Marina so special is its amazing staff. We initially dealt with Becky, who was so lovely and welcoming. Every silly question was answered and all the staff were so responsive. We were welcomed to every open day by all the team! When Becky went on maternity leave, Lizzy took us over. Initially, I was so upset about losing Becky but Lizzy was equally as amazing! She guided us through the end of the process, and ensured every single detail was thought of. I particularly loved how Aston Marina listened to previous brides and in the two years we booked made many improvements to the venue, including redecorating the getting ready room to make it more practical, changing the chairs and introducing a curtain to divide the space. On the day, the presence of everyone was so calming. We were at the forefront of everyone’s minds, making sure we were happy, fed and watered! I’ve honestly never been to a wedding that ran so smoothly and that was all due to the staff there on the day. The food was amazing and came out at the same time so guests were not waiting whilst others were eating. The time between courses was perfect too and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The attention to detail was incredible, especially Abby choosing to play one of our special songs for the last song of the night - making us very emotional (she only knew about this due to listening to my partner’s speech on the day)! We will be eternally grateful to Aston Marina for the memories they created for us on the most special day of our lives.

Everyone we met from the team from Lizzy our events manager to the restaurant team who delivered our tasting menu to Ash on the day made our dream wedding a reality. They were fantastic to work with, super accommodating and very relaxed whilst being super professional which meant we had a completely stress free experience planning and on the day itself. Right from our first communication with Aston Marina, the staff could not have been more helpful. When we initially booked our wedding date we were given all the information we needed and advised on timings of when everything would happen. We had a menu tasting event well ahead of our wedding which gave us plenty of time to decide on our options (all of which were delicious!). Any email queries we had were responded to quickly and professionally (and we had lots of questions!). Abby was an absolute star both in person and over email and we were never made to feel like anything we wanted was too much. On the wedding day, the staff made sure everything ran smoothly and communicated with our suppliers so we could enjoy our day. Ash kept us updated with timings throughout the day and was there when we needed him. So many of our guests commented how beautiful the venue was and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Great bar, delicious food, helpful staff, an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding, would 100% recommend this venue!

Alice and I had our wedding at Aston Marina on Sunday and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. After viewing a handful of venues, we went for the Boat House and we haven't regretted it at all!
From the initial booking of the wedding to the final moments, Lizzy and Abby and the rest of the team have been incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. They were many steps ahead at every point of the wedding journey, truly displaying the incredible expertise the team had, everything ran like clockwork.

The gorgeous waterside location makes for the perfect backdrop for photos and ceremony, we are so glad the weather was on our side and got to have our ceremony and canapés outside, it really was incredible. We have had so many comments about the day and the food in particular where we have been told it was the best food many have had at a wedding ever and we don't disagree at all - it was insane!

I don't feel like a review like this can do the team and venue justice. If you are struggling to decide between two venues - choose The Boat House, you will not regret it.
