Wedding Catering in Scotland

Can thanks this team enough, very friendly and professional, catered for my large wedding for 150 guests, sitting meal and also a buffet in the evening, not to mention thier canapes were so tasty while we where getting photos. The food was one of the best meals ive tasted in a long while. They went that extra mile to make my day so special.

We couldn’t have been happier with The Tasty Hog Company for our wedding day! From start to finish, James and his team were professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail. The hog roast was absolutely delicious – juicy, tender, and full of flavor, with plenty of sides to keep all our guests happy. They also went the extra mile to cater to dietary requirements, which was a huge plus for us. So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the food, and we’re still getting compliments about it weeks later! If you’re looking for exceptional service and food that truly stands out, The Tasty Hog Company is the way to go. Highly recommend!

Season were the perfect choice for our wedding. From start to finish, they were great. The tasting was sensational albeit only allowed to try one choice each but the portion size was huge. This was the same on our big day with the size of the meals being fab! Best wedding food I've ever had and multiple guests said the same. Mel on the day was lovely and so professional being flexible getting our desserts out early so we could catch golden hour with photos. The evening food was unparalleled also. The hog roast is to die for and even better cold the next day :) I couldn't recommend Season enough!

We had these guys cater for our wedding and they were amazing! Walter and Ariane made a huge effort to personalise our menu: incorporating elements of my African heritage and providing a variety of options for the dietary requirements of our guests. And the food was great - super tasty, promptly served by professional staff and lots of food many so our guests were able to go for seconds and thirds! All our guests were raving about how great the food was so very grateful to Walter and Ariane helping making our special day so fab!

Jenny and Verity provided excellent catering for our wedding, arranged fairly last minute after earlier plans fell through. Provided range of options and were happy to adjust menu and canapés to fit what we were looking for and budget (~£100/person). Gave helpful guidance about local, seasonable, sustainable fish and seafood. Included great options for veggie, gluten free and dairy free diets and took care on day to make sure everyone was looked after. Tweaked plans on the wedding weekend once size of tables and rented serving-ware were known to include mix of served plates and family style passed platters which felt comfortably informal while keeping nice sense of occasion. All agreed the food was incredible, especially langoustines, mussels and hake. Kids options went down perfectly. Staff were great, everyone friendly and smiling. Will try to get catering for a big birthday or something in future for a smaller group because still think about superb wedding meal - thanks!!

We hired Braveheart for our wedding on 10 August 2024. We had the Black Douglas BBQ buffet and around 160 people at our wedding meal. The food was amazing and plentiful, with many being able to go for seconds. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they’d had. Everyone also loved the whole spit roasted pig, especially the kids. While Steve might not be your typical wedding vendor, we found him to be very down to earth and genuine. He was responsive to any emails/texts we sent and very flexible and prepared logistically. We had some guests with very specific dietary requirements and Steve assured us these would all be catered for and this was the case. These guests said they were very impressed with the food they had available, as the selection for them at weddings is usually not that great. With so many guests it was of course not possible for everyone to get their food together and, as with any other buffet, people did have to queue so it’s probably good to have realistic expectations about this if you’re thinking of booking a buffet. However we found that many of our guests did not mind this and appreciated the chance to chat and mingle with others while queuing. Overall our experience with Braveheart was excellent. They were very affordable (£21pp including crockery) compared to many other buffet caterers we looked at and the quality and quantity of food was also excellent.

Regis catered our wedding at Blackshaw Barns in October. From the very first email, Regis were extremely professional and friendly. We had our tasting with them before securing our booking. We opted for a BBQ menu, followed by pies and teas and coffees. All at a very reasonable price. The planning and payment was handled with ease with a clear timeline of dates given to us when we signed our booking contract. On the wedding day itself, again Regis were so professional and everything ran very smoothly. The food was delicious (especially the potato salad!). Harry Fraser was our favorite vendor to work with leading up to our day, and they absolutely blew us away on our actual day! We traveled from the States, and they were incredibly accommodating to meeting with us online, walking us through what a typical wedding day at our venue (Fyvie Castle) is like since they're familiar, and allowed us to customize options within their menu's means. They were also able to provide table numbers and centerpieces so we wouldn't have to bring them in our luggage. On the wedding day, they helped with the flow from dinner onwards, and every guest had kind words to share about the hospitality of both the food staff and bartenders. They truly made our day as special as it could be!

We wanted to thank Ferran for joining us at the welcome party the night before our wedding. The oysters were fantastic and having him there really helped break the ice between the guests. It was a great mixer. It was such a success to have the Oysterman mingling with the guests and getting people to join in sampling the oysters. We loved the whisky and Japanese ponzu sauces, as well as the simple lemon. I think everyone who had one or more loved them too. And there were some people who hadn’t had oysters before who tried and liked them. All together a great start to our wedding.  A great success, so thank you again. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the Oysterman again, and would be happy to recommend to anyone thinking of them for an event.
