Meghan and Alex were married in a civil ceremony which took place overlooking the lake at a gorgeous prime time of 4.00pm while the sun was high and shining. Meghan’s cousin’s daughter was the flower girl and her other cousin’s son acted as the ring boy. The other children spent the duration of the ceremony taking pictures of the pair on the disposable cameras that were provided in their goody bags.
The loved-up couple wrote their own vows and even customised the ceremony to suit them which made it even more special to both Meghan and Alex. Along with the romantic, sentimental songs and readings, there were some funny moments during the ceremony that gave everyone a giggle…
The neighbours slowly canoed past the ceremony, realised what was happening and then proceeded to canoe past again and again and again to get a good view. As well as that funny turn, during the rehearsal one of their neighbours managed to wash up on shore after falling asleep in his inflatable boat!
Despite the comical moments, the couple enjoyed an incredibly sentimental wedding ceremony which included Union by Robert Fulgham as a reading.
