Marie and Barrie hired a vintage Morris Minor convertible, from the Tartan Company on the Isle of Skye, to take her to the church. On the day though, it was just too windy to have the roof down! The car was then used by the couple after the ceremony, but they hired a gorgeous vintage Caledonian MacBrayne bus as a surprise to transport the rest of the wedding party. These buses can be used in the community in exchange for a donation to their charity.
Jan Nicolson, who is part of the charity that renovates the buses, drove the bus, personalised it with a license plate, and had tickets made up with the couple’s names on them. He also made the best man wear a conductor’s hat and collect tickets from the wedding party with an ancient ticket machine!
