Jen visited her childhood dream wedding dress shop when it came to finding the perfect wedding dress. As children growing up, Jen and her sister would sing a song on passing ‘the wedding shop’ telling their parents to slow the car down, so that the girls could argue over which dress they would pick if they were getting married whilst pointing at the window display.
Jen visited the shop, Gatehouse Brides in Worcester, with her sister soon after the engagement with the intention of browsing only. She was quite open minded about what sort of dress she’d like but knew she preferred the lace/vintage look. On entering the shop, Jacqui the owner, excitedly insisted Jen tried some on and picked out a few she thought would look lovely.
Having tried on three dresses the first day, the second choice, Style 2051 from designer Benjamin Roberts turned out to be a strong contender. Four months later Jen couldn’t get this dress out of her mind, and ended up ordering a ‘made to measure’ version which turned out to be a perfect fit.
