Jennifer and John got engaged after four years together, whilst they were celebrating Jennifer’s 30th birthday. The couple then spent the next two years planning a rustic barn wedding at the Three Lakes in Ware with an outdoors wedding ceremony for 120 guests.
Mr and Mrs
Jennifer and John met in 2005 through mutual friends, and became a couple a year later. After four happy years together, John arranged for the two of them to visit Bath for the weekend to celebrate Jennifer turning 30. He treated her to an afternoon at the Bath Thermae Spa, and whilst they relaxed in the open-air, rooftop pool, he produced an engagement ring from his swimming shorts!
The ring was a dummy ring featuring a 10th of a carat diamond to propose with, which then allowed the couple to go and choose Jennifer’s ‘official’ engagement ring together. Jennifer was delighted with the perfect proposal and they set a date, planning to marry after an engagement that was just one week short of two years.
