Jane and Alan invited 75 guests to celebrate their wedding with them in the Dordogne region of southern France. At precisely 2pm on the very hot afternoon of the 21st of May, 2011 Jane’s father walked her down the aisle of an abbey in a French village to meet Alan. Their ceremony was romantic and intimate and the couple said their emotional vows to each other amongst their closest family and friends.
After their ceremony the newlywed couple and their guests headed over to The Domaine d’Essendieras, a romantic chateaux is set with in 400 acres of land and comprises of 2 castles from the 16th century. The Chateaux has been renovated to the highest of standards and offers panoramic views of the Dordogne, just perfect for wedding photographic opportunities. During their wedding planning Jane and Alan viewed 3 wedding venues, but nothing compared to the Domaine d’Essendieras.
Jane and Alan’s wedding guests were treated to traditional French gastro for the wedding breakfast which consisted of goats cheese tart, duck for their main and a dessert table that had been filled with scrumptious French tarts laden with fruit and custard.
