Paul and Claire wanted their wedding cake to be a real centre piece at their wedding, and to really reflect their theme. It definitely did that! The incredible three tier cake was styled so the bottom tier looked like the sea, and the other two tiers were the ‘sand’. It was decorated with lots of seaside details, and was placed on a stand made from reclaimed rope from a shipyard. The delicious cake was devoured on the night.
Instead of a first dance, the newlyweds decided to smash piñatas which were shaped like a pirate ship and a monkey. They were filled with confetti and sherbet sticks, which everyone tucked into, starting the party on a sugar high!
Following their amazing and unique wedding, the newlyweds set off for Cayo Levantado in the Dominican Republic, which was a present from Claire’s dad. After the stresses of wedding planning, two weeks on a beach, with cocktails, was total bliss.
