Caroline & Neil’s Real Wedding

Caroline and Neil had been together for four years before they got engaged. They became husband and wife in a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony, at The Twelve Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Brookmans Park, followed by a reception at Moor Park Mansion which featured traditional Greek dancing.

Traditional Greek Wedding

Neil and Caroline became husband and wife in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony at The Twelve Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Brookmans Park. The ceremony took place at 12.30pm and included a Service of Betrothal and a Ceremony of the Sacrament of Marriage. The service was conducted in both Greek and English and followed the traditional rituals involved in a Greek Orthodox marriage ceremony, including the joining of hands, crowning, drinking from a ceremonial cup and the ceremonial walk around the altar, before removing the crowns.

After they were married, Caroline, Neil and their guests moved on to Moor Park Mansion to celebrate with a wedding reception, tastefully decorated with an aubergine colour scheme. The newlyweds and their guests sat down to a delicious meal of seared sea bass with salad nicoise followed by seared fillet of beef with peppercorn crust before ending with pear poached in red wine with cognac ice cream.
