Country loving couple Becks and Ian met online in 2009 and after dating for just under 4 years, Ian proposed to Becks on a romantic countryside walk. They were married just over a year later at Beck’s family church, St Andrew’s in South Warnborough and then had a marquee reception at their family owned lodge.
A Muddy Match
Becks and Ian met on a dating website for country-minded, mud-loving people called Muddy Matches. Becks was down in Devon, and Ian was living in Wiltshire, but that didn’t stop them from meeting up at a pub in Hampshire for their first date. Two years later, Becks had upped her welly and moved to Wiltshire to be with what was soon to be her future husband.
Ian took advantage of the beautiful Loch Etive near Glencoe in Scotland, to propose to his love. Once the couple had had a good old ramble around the Loch, Ian got down on one knee and gave a proposal that the bride will never forget!
Ian chose the beautiful engagement ring himself, and even spent a whole day in Bath learning about diamonds and their quality. Ian relocated to America for a whole year shortly after the couple got together, so they couple spent hardly any time together but whilst Ian was away, tragedy struck and sadly Beck’s mum passed away just 7 months after being diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease. Tough times brought the couple closer together and spending the rest of their lives together seemed like the ultimate solution.
