We had a really small (micro) wedding with just 19 guests and the Hotel Du Vin was perfect for us. Loved the architecture of the building and being able to use the shared spaces in the hotel kept our costs low too. Shauna and team kept in touch every step of the way and the day went without any issues. Food was really good quality, and very reasonably priced. Would fully recommend.

I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue and the team enough. From the very beginning, Alison was incredibly professional, helpful and supportive throughout the whole wedding planning process. I was new to Newcastle and working with a budget, so having someone who genuinely helped me understand the costs made such a difference. I had arranged my own catering, but Alison provided a clear list of prices for everything from the bar, including drinks and bottles, which made it so much easier for me to budget for my guests. She also gave me recommendations for local suppliers, including wedding cake vendors, which was especially helpful because I didn’t know many businesses in the area I wanted to have a signature cocktail that included a traditional liquor from my country, and Gordon went out of his way to source and purchase the liquor for us, as well as the wines we wanted. That personal touch meant so much to me and made the wedding feel even more special.Throughout the planning, Alison regularly checked in with me and was incredibly accommodating. She allowed me to visit the venue several times so I could organise everything properly with my DJ and other suppliers. On the wedding day itself, she made sure that everything — and everyone — was taken care of, from the registrars to my photographer and the rest of the wedding team.Having a private bridal room was another huge bonus. I was able to change into my second dress, retouch my makeup and have a little space to myself during such a busy day.The bar staff were absolutely amazing — professional, friendly, organised and always on time. So many of our guests also commented on how beautiful the ceremony room looked. It was gorgeous, romantic and exactly the atmosphere I wanted for our wedding.One of the biggest advantages of this venue is that it really feels like three venues in one. Many of our guests had flown into Newcastle for the wedding, so being able to have the ceremony, photographs and reception/party all in the same place saved us so much time, stress and money. Nobody had to travel between different locations, which made the whole day flow beautifully. A wedding day can be incredibly stressful for a bride, but Alison made the entire experience feel so much easier. I felt supported from the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself, and I could genuinely enjoy my day knowing everything was being looked after. Thank you so much to Alison, Gordon, the bar staff and the whole team for helping make our wedding such a beautiful and memorable day. I would absolutely recommend this venue, especially to couples who want somewhere beautiful, flexible, well organised and genuinely supportive of their budget and ideas. ❤️

We recently had our wedding at The County and it was beyond perfect. Lucas and Anna were amazing coordinators and the rest of the staff were incredible too. I’d made a load of things for the tables and they arranged them perfectly. The food was delish, service brilliant and a special shoutout to the dude I never got the name of but seemed to be there all day, he was cracking! Thanks again!

We had a magical Christmas wedding on 23rd December in the great hall with the open fire lit. Our wedding experience with Jesmond Dent house was wonderful from planning to the big day itself. Our planner was amazing; nothing was ever a problem for her. The food was second to none and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The only niggle from our experience was the chef who was incredibly unhelpful when we asked for something a little nicer than sorbet or fresh fruit for dessert for my lactose intolerant maid of honour. The manager did however make a personal apology to us later. Overall, I wouldn't have changed our venue for anything. We are spending our first wedding anniversary there for an overnight stay.

From the moment we visited the Vermont to see the venue, not only did I love what I envisioned for that space, but Lukas (one of the wedding coordinators) was excited to bring it to life. Lukas is a natural salesman for weddings and is an asset to the Vermont! He is fun, innovative and so unbelievably friendly!! The communication between putting my deposit down and the wedding day was amazing, they answered my emails and calls, questions I was double checking more than once and complimented me on my own planning. The wedding day was sensational and unforgettable - I’ll never get over it. Anna (one of the wedding coordinators) worked incredibly hard to make my day perfect. If there were any problems, hiccups or timing issues - I did not notice them!! She was supportive and informative all day and was a wonderful friendly face for us to be announcing us to the room for example. Our wedding was amazing, and the Vermont were using photos from our day the very next day to advertise weddings - and rightly so - they were one of the biggest parts of making it happen!! Credit to them for hosting the best day of my entire life. Thank you so much Lukas, Anna and all of the staff at the Vermont that made my day so flawless. I’ll never forget it!!!

I don’t know where to begin! From our very first visit to The Parlour, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. The booking and planning process couldn’t have been easier from the very beginning. The staff were incredibly helpful, always quick to answer our emails and ensuring we knew they had received all of our music and other details. We had a fantastic tasting evening and great planning meetings, where we were given all the information and support we needed to make our day perfect. Now for the day itself! From the moment we arrived, we knew everything was going to run perfectly. A huge shout-out to the fabulous Karen, who kept us both at ease, made sure everything we had planned happened exactly as we imagined, and was such a bright light throughout our beautiful day. The BBQ menu was absolutely amazing, and all of our guests commented on how perfect it was for a summer wedding. The evening pizzas were also a huge hit! We couldn’t be more grateful to the entire team at The Parlour, the wonderful venue itself, and all of the vendors we booked for making our wedding day as beautiful and memorable as it was. We would recommend The Parlour to anyone looking for a relaxed, unique, and truly special wedding venue.

We booked The Garden Room for our evening wedding party, and it was just perfect. Yasmine, our coordinator was fantastic, knowledgeable and so so lovely throughout and the service on the night from the team was fab. Thank you! Xxx

Sianne was excellent during the planning phase and the whole day went exactly as I’d planned. The staff did an excellent job at setting up the room for us and Chris and Vikash were very attentive to us throughout the whole day. The only thing I would say could have gone better was the DJ was so loud on the evening, even after asking him to turn it down, which forced some of our guests out into the bar area. This is not a reflection on the hotel though. Through the day Chris really looked after us and everything ran exactly as it should. The hotel grounds were great for the professional photos, and nothing was too much trouble.

We had the love package for our wedding and we all had a perfect day. The staff were great and friendly and the communication from the hotel when organising was second to none. Food all delicious and decorations were brilliant. Overall everybody had a fantastic day and would recommend this venue if looking to book your wedding :) ***** Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Paul & Lorna

We booked our wedding in 2024 and had constant communication with the hotel from the dayof booking. We were able to pay in installments and no query went unanswered. Staff always so happy to help and our big day went off without a hitch! So thankful for the professionalism and assistance as well as the absolutely incredible food provided both day and night time. Will forever sing praises for how wonderful they made our special day
