Shotton Grange is an elegant manor and coaching house for weddings and engagements in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear. Sophisticated and attention-grabbing, this Georgian-style property would be ideal for hosting your ceremony and reception with family and friends.
Facilities and Capacity
For ceremonies, Shotton Grange boasts a number of areas where couples can tie the knot. Those keen to say ‘I do’ in the open air are welcome to celebrate in the Walled Garden and front lawn. These private spaces can accommodate up to 110 people and would be ideal for couples to begin the first chapter of their married lives. Alternatively, the Coach House provides a well-lit indoor area where vows may be exchanged as guests watch on in awe. This space is defined by exposed beams, authentic stonework and dramatic glass wall. After the magical moment has taken place and you have been officially pronounced as newlyweds, the celebrations can begin. While you enjoy photos around the grounds your guests can make their way to the Manor House's cocktail bar and lounge for drinks and canapes.
The wedding breakfast will be held in Shotton Grange's beautiful Coach House. Here, you and your guests are welcomed to take your seat as mouth-watering meals are served from their amazing choices. The Kitchen team have prepared an array of choices to serve for your first meal as a married couple, which may be paired with fantastic fine wines to compliment every dish. Then, you and up to 200 guests can enjoy vibrant entertainment with the in-house DJ and dance on their spacious dance floor. You can capture your first dance as newlyweds under the festoon lighting creating the perfect highlight for your photographs. In the evening treat your guests to a Hog Roast, Vintage Pizza Van, or have our dedicated team serve your guests whether they are dancing in our Coach House or relaxing in our Walled Gardens.

The Manor House and Cottage feature 11 individually decorated bedrooms sleeping twenty-two including the happy couple. The most magical day
From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. The team guided us through each step of the process, including the legal requirements and who to contact, and were always quick to answer any questions we had. They were also incredibly accommodating whenever changes needed to be made.
The planning process was really well supported, with several meetings along the way to make sure everything was on track and to give us the chance to ask further questions.
On the day itself, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Everything ran so smoothly and exactly how we had envisioned it. The food was delicious, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Shotton Grange to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Most amazing day
Everything was perfect right from the viewing day! Booking process was easy and all the staff were amazing and so helpful everything was how I wanted it without a problem. The morning of the wedding I had a bit of panic thinking I wouldn’t get things done in time but the girls were fantastic and just told me to tell them what I wanted and they’d get it done helping set the tables etc it couldn’t of gone and better! The whole place was just magical and perfect ❤️

Wedding Day 20.06.25
We got married at Shotton Grange on one of the hottest days of the year so really made use of the stunning grounds for our Ceremony and Drinks Reception.
The whole team prior and on the day went above and beyond for us from small minor last minute changes on the week leading up to the day to just everything running so perfect on the actual day including Aaron having a nose bleed 10 minutes before the ceremony!!
I could not recommend this venue enough to anyone looking for an amazing place with great staff, service and food!
All of our guests have commented on how amazing the food was from the wedding breakfast, evening pizza to the breakfast the following morning!

Our perfect day at a perfect venue
My husband and I got married at the parlour at blagdon in early may 2025. And we have nothing but positive things to.say.
The venue itself is just beautiful it has a rustic classic feel with all the modern comforts. We loved that our guests had several different areas they could sit and the day just flowed. We are the most disorganised pair ever the staff were incredibly patient and flexible but gave us a gentle push when needed. Racheal ran our day and she was the perfect person for us she was on hand all.day and nothing was too much for her or the other staff.
If we could.do it all.again we would.choose the parlour everytime.
The best compliment we got from so many of our guests I would say also.is a compliment to the parlour. They said it was 1 of the best weddings they have ever been too.

The happiest day!
We can’t recommend Shotton Grange enough. From start to finish they made the wedding experience so easy and relaxed. The team really go above and beyond, no detail is too big or too small. The communication from the planning team couldn’t have been better. Every member of staff that we came into contact with were amazing. All of our guests commented on how wonderful all the staff were on the day. You can tell they are all passionate about their jobs and it really shows in their work. We’d also like to add how amazing food is at the venue. We were lucky enough to stay at the venue the night before our wedding with all of our wedding party, the food provided was 5*. The wedding guests also commented on how lovely all of the food throughout the wedding day was. If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further than Shotton Grange!

From the moment we arrived until the last guest left, our wedding day was absolute perfection – and it’s all thanks to this incredible venue and their amazing team. Every detail was beautifully taken care of, and we truly felt like we were living in a dream from start to finish.
The setting was breathtaking – elegant, and full of charm. Whether it was the ceremony backdrop, the stunning reception space, or the peaceful outdoor areas for our guests to relax, every corner felt magical. Our photos look like they’re straight out of a fairytale!

Amazing Venue!
Honestly, the most stunning venue and the food was absolutely exceptional. We chose a three-course meal for our wedding breakfast and stone-fired pizzas for the evening. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed everything and even said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Every single member of staff was attentive, friendly, and polite, they truly couldn’t have done more for us. Bonus points for being so dog-friendly!

We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough from the beautiful building and grounds to the attentive and professional staff. They really did go above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. From the very first day of viewing the venue to booking and setting a date everything was seamless. A big thanks to Emma who was always on hand to answer any questions or query’s we had it made the very short 5 months of planning stress free. Everyone commented how chilled and relaxed our day was thanks to the amazing team we wouldn’t change a thing.

Shotton Grange Wedding April 2025
We booked our wedding in September 2024 (approx) and got married in April 2025. I would recommend Shotton Grange as a wedding venue to anyone, it was amazing. I can't run out of good things to say about this place.
We knew that Shotton was the venue for us on our first visit with Emma. She was professional and made us feel welcome at the venue from the moment we got there. The planning process was made very easy by Emma and the other members of staff on the coordination team. They were always on hand and got back to us straight away whenever we had any questions.
The events team on the day were also amazing. Our master of ceremonies Alison made us feel at ease the whole day, along with the rest of the staff who provided great customer service on the day.
On the day, our ceremony was perfect, this was down to the staff helping set up and their attention to details throughout. Our drinks reception and wedding breakfast also went to plan, the food was amazing (I would recommend doing the menu tasting as the food options are great). Then our evening do was also great.
The venue itself is beautiful, there is indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate all guests and all different weather scenarios. The house is surrounded by beautiful and private outdoor gardens, in addition the venue is dog friendly which was great for us.
Our wedding had 59 day guests and 114 evening, Shotton accommodated to all individual dietary needs and made the whole process stress free. The venue is the perfect for a wedding party of this size. It is also budget friendly compared to other venues we looked at!

The most perfect venue
Shotton Grange is absolutely stunning inside and out, and we were so lucky to book them for our wedding day.
From the very start of the process, the whole team were so lovely and kind and they kept us updated throughout. Every visit was great and the food tasting left us confident that we'd picked the right place.
The venue is so beautiful you barely need any decs at all! All we needed was table decorations and a few flowers and it was perfect. We kept it simple and it's all that was needed, the beauty of the space speaks for itself.
Now to talk about the people. Emma looked after us for the majority of our booking and she was soooo lovely! She even snuck over to see us on the day which we really appreciated. She kept us reassured and calm during a very stressful process! I had so many questions, and had barely any idea about the process, so I was emailing all the time and the whole team were always quick and helpful to respond.
On our wedding day we were looked after by the wonderful Mir, who was so fabulous and efficient, making sure everything ran smoothly and everyone had a good time! The whole day was safe in her hands and it could never have gone as well as it did without her care! The evening staff also saved us some pizza and took it up to the room for us, which was a godsend at the end of a night of nonstop dancing!

Amazing day! Perfect from start to finish.
We had our wedding here on 21st February 2025. It was the most perfect day. I'll start by saying how good the communication was from the start with Emma, from our meetings to any emails she was so quick to reply and really knows her stuff. When it came to the day before when we went to set up Alison was appointed our master of ceremonies. She came in to chat while we were setting up and really put my mind at ease. The heating had stopped working on the ground and first floor the night before and we were given a fan heater and offered a room on the top floor and also given access to the bridal suite to get our dresses hung up and ready for the morning of the wedding. The next morning Alison arrived and was amazing throughout, even lining up shots for us before we walked down the aisle and making sure we had a drink while getting our photos taken. The day was really well organised and went perfectly to plan. The good was amazing and the feedback from our guests was that the food was the best they've had at a wedding. Thank you so much to the team for making our day perfect and for being so accommodating.
